All race of the world have a characteristic of history and tradition. The tradition have been handed down forms of politicsㆍeconomyㆍsocietyㆍculture. Because the culture is a mental product, it is means that we understand an identity of races. Because music express a figure of living itself, Former's consciousness and difficulty of life is expressed in words of former song. A study about it is necessary course in order to understand our traditional culture. Because Korea was included a Chinese character culture area and affected Confucianism, the thought of loyalty and filial piety have exerted a far-reaching influence in our society. Words of farmer songs are mostly lyric poems. This express former's consciousness and difficulty of life. Farmer songs express the thought of Confucianism, example fealty, filial piety ect. They sing a loyalty for a nation and kings. King exists in the middle of heaven and earth, commands spirit, material and a human being. So king keeps sameness with nation, society, family and a person. Loyalty for king originate from voluntary mind that put nation, society, family and a person in the same category. If loyalty reveal for nation, it become the justice and the public good. Therefore it is loyalty that the people devote themselves to a ruler. Filial piety is expressed to Yong-cheon-zi-do(用天之道), bun-zi-zi-rl(分地之理), gun-sin-jeol-yong(謹身節用). Farmers sing following contents ; After gathering in a harvest, farmers perform a memorial service for the repose of their ancestors. support their king and parents, lastly feed their wives and children. The cosmic dual forces(陰陽) is concept about the phenomena of all changes in the world. The cosmic dual forces(陰陽) make character of four season ; In spring, all creation bud in brightness, In summer, all things grow in full brightness. In fall, there is the harvesting season in gloominess, In winter, they store all harvests in full gloominess. The Five Elements(五行: metal, wood, water, fire, earth) retain the attribute of earth. It organically relate to earth, direction, season and show up a politic sense. Ruler must do government to adapt nature order, therefore all things that related to farm work is done well. According to the cosmic dual forces(陰陽), day and night alternate, temperature changes, four seasons circulate. so farm work cannot help relating to the cosmic dual forces(陰陽) and the five elements(五行: metal, wood, water, fire, earth). Farmers know it well. Since Buddhism was introduced into Korea from China, it became a national religion and the spiritual mainstay of former. so it affect our spiritual life and cutural life. therefore there is a thought of je-haeng-moo-sang(諸行無常思想)-the core thought of Buddhism-in the words of farmer songs Key Word : 농요사설, 충효사상, 음양오행사상, 불교사상

콤바인 HST 전자제어시스템 개발

I/An electro-hydraulic transmission having advantages of convenience, safety, simple linking and high power, and an electronic control system were designed and fabricated. In this study, characteristics of the control system were investigated through outdoor tests for evaluation of installation of the system on a combine. Major findings were as followings. 1. Experiment for performance evaluation of the control system was conducted on concrete road. With steering lever in neutral position, driving HST swash plate and left/right wheel speed increased in proportion to driving lever angle. In case of steering control, steering swash plate angle changed in proportion to steering lever angle. This should cause increase in outer wheel speed, but it was observed that HST swash plate was controlled toward neutral to maintain the speed before steering. As a result, speed before steering was maintained despite the change in outer wheel speed by steering HST swash plate angle change. 2. It was observed that the HST system enabled steering with outer wheel maintained at constant speeds while inner wheel speed decreased, which was more stable than conventional mechanical links. In addition, for the selected 5 criteria, experiment showed satisfactory results and it was judged that installation on real vehicle would be feasible. 3. The control system showed response property of appropriate forward/reverse movement and lift/right steering, without causing any problems during experiment on concrete. Characterization of changes in global gene expression in the brain of neuron-specific enolase/human Tau23 transgenic mice in response to overexpression of Tau protein.

<P>Tau is a neuronal phosphoprotein responsible for the formation of the neurofibrillary tangles in Alzheimer's disease. To characterize the changes in global gene expression in the brain of transgenic mice that overexpress human Tau23 protein in response to the increase of Tau23 phosphorylation, total RNA extracted from the hippocampus of 12-month-old transgenic and wild-type mice was converted to cDNA, labeled with biotin and hybridized to oligonucleotide microarrays. The microarray results were confirmed by real-time RT-PCR and Western blotting method. It was determined that 43 genes were up-regulated and 8 genes were down-regulated by Tau23 in transgenic mice compared to controls, based on the arbitrary difference in the 2-fold change. Among the up-regulated transcripts, those encoding for transporter and oxidoreductase were dramatically over-represented, followed by those related to regulatory molecule, cytoskeletal protein, signaling molecule, and extracellular matrix protein. Genes encoding for transcription factor, regulatory molecule, miscellaneous function, and chaperone were significantly reduced in the down-regulated group. The major genes in the up-regulated categories included Ecrg4, Folr1, Defb11, Aqp1 and Soctdc1. The major genes in the down-regulated categories were Ncor1, Gpm6a, and Hspd1. These results indicate that the microarray analysis identifies several gene functional groups and individual genes that respond to a sustained increase in Tau23 phosphorylation levels in the brain of transgenic mice. In addition, the results suggest the microarray test is a useful tool for increased understanding of the role of Tau23 protein in regulating neurodegenerative disorders.</P>

서울의 Penicillinase Producing Neisseria gonorrhoeae 발생빈도(1998)

In recent years, gonorrhea has been pandemic and remains one of the most common STDs in the world, especially in developing countries. For the detection of a more effective therapeutic regimen and assessing the prevalence of Penicillinase Producing Neisseria gonorrhoeae(PPNG), we have been trying to study the patients who have visited the Venereal Disease Clinic of Choong-Ku Public Health Center in Seoul since 1980 by menas of the chromogenic cephalosporin method. In 1998, 93 strians of N. genorrhoeae were isolated, among which 60(64.5%) were PPNG. The prevalence of PPNG in Seoul, which had been decreased to 39% in 1996 after a peak of 74.3% in 1993, is increased to 64.5% in 1998.

老齡者의 建康을 위한 生活習慣 實態調査

With a view to examining the habit and method in which old people maintain and improve their health, we consulted 551 men and 444 women who were over 65 years old, and concluded as follows: 1. Habit of eating It's been revealed that most of the old people keep a regular eating hour, control the quantity of meal or eat a little food, and prefer vegetables to meat. 2. Mental health Old people feel the necessity for mental health and most of them (about 80%) keep good mental health without becoming pessimistic. Their chief concenrs have turned out to be about their sons and daughters and their own health and finance. 3. Managing Good Health It has been revelaed that old people do not possess any special kind of secret to keep good health but taking plenty of rest, regular meal, and proper exercise, and many of them (about 60%) have been shown to eat invigorant food that they can easily get around their living area. 4. Physical Functions It has been revealed that many old people are conscious of some symptoms about their parts of body and about to percent of them suffers from neuralgia. Some measures like medical aid especially for old people need to be taken as soon as possible. As we have found that the health-keeping method of old people consists plenty of rest, proper exercise, and appropriate nutrition, we can conclude that the recreatonal and culture facilities and programs for keeping old people in good health should be developed. It is also necessary to study food that contribute to their health and develop ways to get rid of the stresses to which they are exposed in their daily life. Presides, it is natural that government found an administrative department to deal with these matters effectively.

Objectives : Impaired processing of facial information is one of the broad ranges of cognitive deficits seen in patients with Schi-zophrenia. We aimed to elucidate the differences in brain activities involved in the process of facial working memory between schizophrenic patients and healthy comparison subjects. Methods : Twelve patients with schizophrenia were recruited along with twelve demographically matched healthy volunteers as a comparison group. Functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) was used to assess cortical activities during the Perfor-mance of a 2-back working memory paradigm using images of neutral faces as mnemonic content. Rcsults : The patient group performed the tasks with reduced accuracy. Group analysis revealed that the left fusiform gyrus, the right superior frontal gyrus, the bilateral middle frontal gyri/insula, the left middle temporal gyrus, the precuneus, the quadrangular lobules and the vermis of cerebellum showed decreased cortical activities in the patient group. On the other hand, an increased level of activation in the lateral prefrontal cortex and the pahetal lobule was observed from the patient group, all in the right hemisphere. Conulusion : A decreased level of activity in the left fusiform gyrus among the patient group implicates inefficient processing of facial information. An increased level of activation in prefrontal and parietal neural networks from the patient group confirms earlier findings on the impaired working memory of patients with schizophrenia.

몇가지 작물중 침투성 살충제 Carbofuran의 잔류량 분석

In order to ascertain the safety of the systemic insecticide carbofuran - treated crops. garlic, peanut and potato were collected randomly from markets near the major producing farms and analyzed for the residues of carbofuran and its main metabolite, 3-hydroxycarbofuran. The in vitro metabolism of carbofuran in phosphate buffer extracts of the crops was investigated. The results obtained were as follows. 1.The recoveries of carbofuran and 3- hydroxycarbofuran from the spiked samples were 92~ 100% in all samples. The detection limit and minimum amount of carbofuran detected were 0.02ppm and 0.1ng, and those of 3-hydroxycarbofuran 0.06ppm and 0.3ng, respectively. 2.Two mature garlic samples out of 20 contained 0.13 and 0.07ppm of carbofuran, respectively, showing a detection frequancy of 10%. The residue level was less than the maximum residue limit(0.5ppm) set by the health authorities in Korea. Only one mature garlic sample out of 20 contained 0.13ppm of 3-hydroxycarbofuran. 3.The residues of carbofuran and 3-hydroxycarbofuran in the immature garlic, peanut and potato samples were less than the detection limits. 4.The application of carbofuran to the fields of garlic, peanut and potato would be safe, considering that the estimated maximum acceptable daily intake of carbofuran from garlic was 0.0007mg which is 0.13% of the maximum acceptable daily intake(0.55mg) . 5.Carbofuran was hydrolyzed in vitro mainly to carbofuran phenol(m/z 164) in phosphate buffer extracts of the three crops in contrast to the major oxidative metabolism in situ. The amount of the metabolite increased with the incubation time.

모 중장비 제조 사업장의 유해작업요인 평가에 관한 연구

We evaluated the types and the amount of hazards in a heavy equipment factory and a plant factory to improve workers' health and to determine the priority in occupational health programs. We first inspected the working processes to find hazardous agents, measured them in each process environment, and compare the results with their TLVs(Threshold Level Value). This study was carried out from December 26, 1995 to January 30, 1996. The results are as follows: 1. In two factories, we identified the following hazardous agents: noise, dust, heavy metal fume, organic solvents, illumination, gases and ultraviolet light. 2. In the heavy equipment factory, some agents were over their TLVs in the following departments. 1) Preparation Department: dust, Pb, Mn, Fe₂O₃, NO₂ 2) Manufacture Department: noise, dust, Pb, Mn, Fe₂O₃, NO₂ 3) Assembly Department: noise 4) Technique Department: NO₂ 3. In the plant factory, some agents were over their TLVs in the following departments: 1) 1 Bay: illumination, Pb, Mn, Fe₂O₃ 2) 2 Bay: dust, illumination, Cu 3) 3 Bay: illumination 4) 4 Bay: noise, dust, Pb, Mn, Fe₂O₃, NO₂ 5) 5 Bay: noise, dust, Pb, Mn, Fe₂O₃, NO₂ 6) 6 Bay: Pb, Mn, NO₂ We concluded that the hazardous agents such as heavy metal fume, noise and noxious gas were required to be controlled at first.

덕성여대생들의 성의식에 관한 연구

Human sexuality is intimately related to human biology, but it is embedded within the sociocultural fabric of human society. Today's students are so inundated with information about gender and sexuality that it is difficult to sort truth from fiction. Not only do the political and economic situation influence our gender and sex related attitudes and behaviors, but newspapers. television programs and other media also brim with features about gender roles and issues concerning human sexuality. Even though the tendency has been changed, double standard of sexuality for men and women still existed in Korean society. The primary purpose of this study is to examine the students' sexual consciousness of Duksung Women's University. In so doing, this study was focusing on four major points 1) the knowledge of sexuality or sexual experience 2) the knowledge of pregnancy and birth control 3) the recognition of homosexuality 4) the recognition of sexual violence or sexual harrassment. The survey is composed of 30 questions. The total subject were 500 female undergraduate students enrolled at Duksung Women's University in 2000. The conclusion of the study is that the idea about the gender roles, sexual behavior. premarital sexual pattern. contraception, abortion, and homosexuality has been radically changed.
