한국 미술치료사의 직업정체성 인식 연구 = The Professional Identity Perception Study of Korean Art Therapists

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구의 목적은 사회적 맥락에 근거한 미술치료사의 직업정체성에 관한 인식을 알아보는데 있다. 이를 위해 임상현장에서 근무하고 있거나 수련 중인 국내 미술치료사 311명을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하여 자료를 수집하고 분석하였다. 온라인 링크를 통한 설문조사는 2022년 11월 29일부터 10일간 이루어졌으며, 수집된 설문은 SPSS 29.0을 통해 빈도분석, 일원배치 분산분석, T-test, χ²검증을 실시하였다. 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 응답자의 과반수는 발달재활서비스를 제공하고 있으며, 사설상담센터에서 시간제 근무를 하는 비율이 높았다. 직무전문성과 관련하여 미술치료사를 독립된 직업, 상담직의 일종, 정신건강 서비스 영역 전문가로 인식하고 있었고, 응집력 있고, 통일된 직업정체성에 대한 요구가 높았다. 조직 관련에서는 급여가 불공정하다고 인식하였고, 제도 관련은 미술치료가 인접분야 전문가로부터 오해받거나, 사회적으로 인정받지 못한다고 인식하는 비율이 높은 반면, 미술치료가 현대사회에 필요한 전문직이라고 인식하고 있어 미술치료사가 부여하는 미술치료의 사회적 가치는 높았다. 또한 미술치료가 전문분야로서 제도적 독립성을 유지해야한다고 생각하나, 심리상담사법(안)과 관련해서는 상반된 인식이 있었다. 미술치료사들은 높은 수준의 전문직정체성을 나타냈다. 이러한 내용을 바탕으로 본 연구의 의의와 제한점에 대하여 논의하였다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study was to figure out the perception of art therapists' professional identity based on social coherence. For this purpose, survey data were collected and analyzed from 311 domestic art therapists working or training in clinical fields. The survey through the online link was conducted for 10 days from November 29, 2022, and the collected data were examined by frequency analysis, T-test, one-way ANOVA (ANalysis of variance), and χ²verification through SPSS 29.0. The results of the study were as follows. Regarding job expertise, art therapists recognized their profession as an independent job and a kind of counseling job and themselves as experts in the field of mental health service. And there was a high demand for a cohesive and unified professional identity. Concerning their organization, they complained that their salary was not enough, and about their institution, art therapy was misunderstood by experts in adjacent fields or was not recognized socially, while the social value of art therapy was high because it was recognized as an essential profession in modern society. In addition, they believed that art therapy was a specialized profession that should maintain its institutional independence. Meanwhile, there was a conflict regarding the Psychological Counseling Act (draft). Art therapists displayed a high level of professional identity. Based on these contents, the significance and the limitations of this study were discussed.
