음악치료사 전문직업성 척도 개발 및 타당화

The purpose of this study was to develop and validate a scale that can measure the level of professionalism in music therapists. To summarize the research, in the scale development stage of this study, in-depth interviews were conducted with 10 music therapists and by analyzing previous studies and literature, the concept and components for the professionalism of music therapists were derived, leading to the development of 113 initial items. Afterwards, items for preliminary investigation were selected through the content validity test, a review by a scholar of Korean literature, the facial validity test, and final advice from a music therapist. For the preliminary survey, data from 330 music therapists were collected and exploratory factor analysis was conducted. As a result, 23 items were finally selected consisting of factor 1 ‘professional knowledge and skills (9 items)’, factor 2 ‘work attitude’ (5 items), factor 3 ‘work philosophy’ (4 items), and factor 4 ‘professional engagement’ (5 items). The internal consistency coefficient of the selected items showed a high level of reliability. In the scale validation stage, the main survey was conducted on 378 music therapists and data were collected to finalize the factor structure and items obtained through the preliminary survey. As a result of confirmatory factor analysis and convergence and discriminant validity assessment for construct validity verification, the model fit of the music therapist professionalism scale was at an acceptable level, and convergence and discriminatory validity were verified. In addition, as a result of correlation analysis with the scales assumed to be related to the professionalism scales - the counselor's professional identity scale (concurrent validity verified), the creative art therapist developmental assessment scales, the burnout inventory, and the job satisfaction scale (Convergent validity verified) - a statistically significant correlation was confirmed. The Music Therapist’s Professionalism Scale developed through this study was based on the experiences of domestic music therapists. Therefore, this study has the following significance: 1) practically, it is possible to present specific experience data on professionalism that is formed and developed in the domestic clinical field of music therapy, 2) the unique characteristics of music therapy different from other professions were reflected, and 3) it can be used in various educational and research fields related to the professionalism of music therapists considering the recent increase in social interest in music therapy and the importance of the professionalism of therapists.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

이 연구의 목적은 음악치료사 전문직업성 수준을 측정할 수 있는 척도를 개발하고 타당화하는 것이다. 연구내용을 요약하면, 척도개발 단계에서는 음악치료사 10명을 심층면접하고 선행연구와 문헌들을 분석함으로써 음악치료사 전문직업성에 대한 개념 및 구성요인을 도출하고 113개의 최초문항을 개발하였다. 이후 내용타당도 검증, 국문학자의 검토, 안면타당도 검증 및 음악치료 전문가의 최종자문을 통해서 예비조사를 위한 36문항을 선정하였다. 예비조사는 음악치료사 330명의 자료를 수집하여 탐색적 요인분석을 실시하였고, 최종적으로 1요인 ‘전문지식과 기술(9문항)’, 2요인 ‘직업태도(5문항)’, 3요인 ‘직업철학(4문항)’, 4요인 ‘전문적 참여행동(5문항)’으로 구성된 23문항이 선정되었으며 문항의 내적 일관성 계수를 확인한 결과 높은 신뢰도 수준을 나타냈다. 척도 타당화 단계에서는 예비조사를 통해 획득한 요인구조 및 문항의 최종 확정을 위하여 음악치료사 378명을 대상으로 본조사를 실시하고 자료를 수집하였다. 구인타당도 검증을 위한 확인적 요인분석, 수렴 및 판별타당도 검증 결과, 음악치료사 전문직업성 척도의 모형적합도는 수용 가능한 수준이었으며 수렴 및 판별타당도가 검증되었다. 또한, 전문직업성 척도와 관련이 있을 것으로 가정한 척도들, 상담사의 전문직 정체성 척도(공인타당도 검증), 예술치료사 발달평가 척도, 심리적 소진 척도, 직무만족도 척도(수렴타당도 검증)와의 상관분석을 실시하여, 통계적으로 유의한 상관관계를 확인하였다. 본 연구에서 개발된 음악치료사 전문직업성 척도는 국내 음악치료사의 경험을 기반으로 삼았다. 이에 국내 음악치료 임상 현장에서 형성되고 발전하게 되는 전문직업성에 관한 구체적인 경험 자료를 제시할 수 있다는 점, 타 전문직과 다른 특성을 가진 음악치료의 고유한 특성이 반영된 점, 음악치료사의 전문직업성을 계량화할 수 있어 실증연구의 활성화에 기여할 수 있다는 점, 최근 음악치료에 대한 사회적 관심의 증가나 치료사의 전문성이 중요하게 대두되고 있는 시점에서 음악치료사의 전문직업성과 관련되는 다양한 교육 및 연구현장에서 활용될 수 있다는 점에서 의의를 찾을 수 있다.
