중학생이 지각한 부모양육행동, 자기효능감, 목표지향성과 자기주도적 학습능력 간의 구조적 관계

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 중학생이 지각한 부모양육행동, 자기효능감, 목표지향성, 자기주도적 학습능력 간의 구조적 관계를 분석하고, 그 구조적 관계에서 남녀 학생 집단 간의 차이를 검증하고자 하였다. 구조모델은 부모양육행동이 직접적으로, 그리고 자기효능감과 목표지향성을 매개로 간접적으로 자기주도적 학습능력에 영향을 줄 것으로 설정되었다.
조사대상은 대구광역시에 소재하는 중학교 2학년 남학생 311명, 여학생 305명이었다. 사용된 검사도구는 이석재 등(2003)의 “자기주도적 학습능력 검사”, 임정하(2003)의 “부모양육행동 지각검사”, 김아영, 박인영(2001)의 “자기효능감 검사”와 주동식(2009)이 Midgley 등(2000)의 검사를 수정한 “목표지향성 검사”이다. 수집된 자료는 통계패키지 SPSS 19와 AMOS 19 프로그램을 사용하여 구조분석하였다.
분석결과는 다음과 같다.
첫째, 중학생이 지각한 부모양육행동, 자기효능감, 목표지향성과 자기주도적 학습능력 간의 구조적 관계 분석에 의하면, 부모양육행동은 자기주도적 학습능력에 직접적인 영향뿐만 아니라 자기효능감과 목표지향성을 매개로 한 간접적 영향을 미친다. 자기효능감과 목표지향성 또한 자기주도적 학습능력에 직접적인 영향을 미치며, 자기효능감은 목표지향성을 통해서 간접적으로 자기주도적 학습능력에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다.
둘째, 구조모형에서 성별에 따른 집단 간 경로차이를 분석한 결과, 지각된 부모양육행동, 자기효능감, 목표지향성과 자기주도적 학습능력 간의 구조관계에서 남학생 집단과 여학생 집단 간에 유의한 차이가 없는 것으로 나타났다.
이와 같은 결과는 남녀 집단에 관계없이, 중학생의 자기주도적 학습능력의 증진을 위해서는 부모양육행동을 고려한 노력이 가장 우선되어야 하며, 동시에 자기효능감과 목표지향성을 높일 수 있는 다차원적인 교육적 접근이 필요함을 시사한다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study was to investigate the structural relationship among parenting behaviors, self-efficacy, goal orientation and self-directed learning ability in middle school students and examines the differences in the structural relationship between boys and girls. The structural model was designed so that parenting behaviors may have a direct effect and indirect effects mediated by the self-efficacy and goal-oriented behavior on self-directed learning ability.
The subjects of the study were administrated to 311 boys and 305 girls attending the second year of middle schools located in the Daegu Metropolitan City. The survey instruments used are “Self-Directed Learning Ability Test” by Lee, S. J., Jang, Y. K., Lee, H. N. & Park, K. Y. (2003), “Perception on Parenting Behaviors” by Lim, J. H. (2003), “Self-Efficacy Questionnaire” by Kim, A. Y. & Park, I. Y. (2001) and “Examination on Goal Orientation” adapted by Joo, D. S. (2009). The collected data were analyzed using SPSS 19 and AMOS 19 programs for structural analyses.
The results of the study are as follows:
First, the results of the structural relationship among self-directed learning ability, perceived parenting behaviors, self-efficacy and goal-orientation showed that perceived parenting behaviors have both a direct effect and indirect effects mediated by self-efficacy and goal-orientation on the self-directed learning ability. The analyses also indicated that self-efficacy had an indirect effect on the self-directed learning ability mediated by goal-orientation.
Second, analyses of differences between gender groups in the structural model revealed that despite a difference in the coefficient of path from self-efficacy to goal orientation, there was no significant difference between males and females in the structural model.
The results indicated that parenting behavior is the most important variable among the three variables in influencing middle students’ self-directed learning ability. The results also reveal that regardless of gender, encouragement for self-directed learning should be approached in multidimensional ways by creating integrated models of parenting behaviors, self-efficacy and goal orientation.
