In this paper, the exact analysis of the parallel coupled line with open stub is presented. This structure shows LPF characteristics with broad stopband and sharp skirt characteristics. We derived the exact Z-matrix expression of the structure. In order to show the validation of the expression we designed 3^(th) order Chebyshev LPF using the structure. The simulated data excellently agreed with the predicted values by the calculation using the derived expression.

We developed a new cooling system which applies TEC module using peltier effect. Our cooling system has better effiency and make smaller pollution than conventional cooling system. We applies that cooling system to making cool water dispenser. We designed the cold water dispenser of optimum effiency varying material, shape, and size of heat sink and cooling fan. The possibility of a commodity on this designed cold water dispenser is investigated.

An electrical accident such as mishap electricity institution occurs frequently because of the increase of demand for electricity, complexity of electricity institution. The techniques that discovered a mishap to electricity institution are electric signal method and supersonic waves method, thermal sensing method by infrared rays. The IRR-camera which is effective monitoring method of electricity institution is diffused in industrial field. Specially, infrared rays monitoring can perceive heat which was visually poor observed objection. Also, infrared rays monitoring can monitor an area of difficulty of access of work human power. In this study, infrared rays monitoring of a transformer substation is periodically performed. The connection between possibility of application and operation, blazing fire occurrence and progress process of body and bushing of large capacity transformer are performed by IRR-camera.

In order to distinguish the honey in the market whether it is real or not simply and conviniently, the changes of water activity was investigated due to the addition of starch syrup and sucrose solution to the honeys such as Korean, Acacia, Chestnut and Mixed. The regression equations were obtained to predict the water activity of the honeys. In general, the honey was below 21% in moisture, below 0.6% in ash, 420 to 710cP in the viscosity, 0.57 to 0.62 in the water activity and 77 to 80brix in sugar content. The water activity of the samples were higher as the quantity of starch syrup and sucrose solution added increased. Starch syrup was more influence than sucrose solution. The regression equations between water activity and starch syrup concentration of honeys were obtained and R^2 value were higher than 0.90.

This study was done to determine the effect of lead acetate on the activities of the hepatic cytosolic xanthine oxidase and aldehyde oxidase which were well known as oxygen free radical generating enzyme in vitro. Lead ion accelerated the formation of lipid peroxide and the increment of xanthine oxidase(type O) activity and the type conversion ration from xanthine dehydrogenase to xanthine oxidase dose-dependently. But xanthine dehydrogenase(type D) activity was decreased. Aldehyde oxidase activity was not changed by lead ion. These data suggested that lead-induced cellular toxicity may be concerned partially with xanthine oxidase mediated lipid peroxidation.

In this study, UPLC-QqQ/MS-based lipidomics was applied to profile various lipids from RAW264.7 macrophages treated with different concentrations of lipopolysaccharide (LPS). The degree of inflammation increased with the LPS concentration. To elucidate the altered lipid metabolism of inflammatory macrophages, we targeted to analyze 25 lipid classes from LPS-treated RAW264.7 cells. As a result, 523 lipid species were successfully profiled by using the optimal UPLC and MRM. Statistical data analyses such as PCA, PLS-DA, and HCA differentiated five RAW264.7 cells treated with different concentrations of LPS. VIP plot, heat map, and bar plot also provided lists of up-or down-regulated lipids according to the LPS concentration. From the results, 11 classes of lipids, TG, DG, ChE, PE, PS, PI, PA, LyPC, LyPE, Cer, and dCer, were increased, and three classes, cholesterol, PC, and LyPA, were decreased in an LPS concentration-dependent manner. Furthermore, the treatment of an anti-inflammatory compound recovered the levels of PC, PE, PI, PA, LyPE, LyPA, and Cer from the activated macrophages. Finally, these results demonstrate the correlation between inflammation and lipid metabolism in macrophages. The differentially regulated lipids also have the potential to be used as biomarkers for inflammation.

(1) Background: Panax ginseng root is one of the most important herbal products, and the profiling of ginsenosides is critical for the quality control of ginseng roots at different ages in the herbal markets. Furthermore, interest in assessing the contents as well as the localization of biological compounds has been growing. The objective of this study is to carry out the mass spectrometry (MS)-based profiling and imaging of ginsenosides to assess ginseng roots at different ages; (2) Methods: Optimal ultra performance liquid chromatography coupled to quadrupole time of flight/MS (UPLC-QTOF/MS) was used to profile various ginsenosides from P. ginseng roots. Matrix-assisted laser desorption ionization (MALDI)-time of flight (TOF)/MS-based imaging was also optimized to visualize ginsenosides in ginseng roots; (3) Results: UPLC-QTOF/MS was used to profile 30 ginsenosides with high mass accuracy, with an in-house library constructed for the fast and exact identification of ginsenosides. Using this method, the levels of 14 ginsenosides were assessed in P. ginseng roots cultivated for 4, 5, and 6 years. The optimal MALDI-imaging MS (IMS) was also applied to visualize the 14 ginsenosides in ginseng roots. As a result, the MSI cross sections showed the localization of 4 ginsenoside ions ([M + K]+) in P. ginseng roots at different ages; (4) Conclusions: The contents and localization of various ginsenosides differ depending on the cultivation years of P. ginseng roots. Furthermore, this study demonstrated the utility of MS-based profiling and imaging of ginsenosides for the quality control of ginseng roots.
