Objective : We assessed the surgical results of bipolar release in 31 adult patients with uncorrected congenital muscular torticollis (CMT) and more than 12 months of follow-up. Methods : Thirty-one patients underwent a bipolar release of the sternocleidomastoid muscle (SCM) and were retrospectively analyzed. The mean follow-up period was 14.9 months (range, 12-30). The mean age at time of surgery was 30.3 years (range, 20-54). Patients were evaluated with a modified Lee's scoring system, cervicomandibular angle (CMA) measurement, and a global satisfaction rating scale using patient self-reporting. Results : The modified Lee's scoring system indicated excellent results in 4 (12.9%) patients, good in 18 (58.1%), and fair in 9 (29.0%) at the last follow-up after surgery. The improvements in neck movement and head tilt were statistically significant (p<0.05). The preoperative mean CMA was $15.4^{\circ}$ (range, 5.4-29.0), which was reduced to a mean of CMA of $6.3^{\circ}$ (range, 0-25) after surgery (p<0.05). The global satisfaction rating scale was 93.7% (range, 90-100). A transient sensory deficit on the ipsilateral lower ear lobe was noted in three cases. No significant permanent complications occurred. Conclusion : Bipolar release of the SCM is a safe and reliable technique for the treatment of CMT in adults.

The purpose of this study is to examine the relationship between the perceived quality and revisit intention of the use of SNS, and then verifies the mediating role of the SNS channel between them. To achieve the purpose of this study, a total of 350 questionnaires were distributed at various coffee concept shops in the Korean metropolitan area (Seoul / Gyeonggi), including global / domestic brands. After removing the response with the missing information, the sample was 320 (91.4%). A structural equation model using AMOS 20.0 tested the hypotheses. Hypotheses are tested and confirmed by analyzing Korean coffee concept shops and the results have shown that information sharing and interaction of SNS play an important role in understanding perceived quality and revisit intention. Moreover, this study empirically verifies that when customers recognize the quality of products, including service and experience quality, they use SNS channels to visit the coffee shop again. The result of the study supported that information sharing and interactivity of SNS played critical roles in understanding perceived qualities and revisit intention. We empirically provide evidence that product quality of perceived qualities has direct positive in fluence on SNS channel and revisit intention. In addition, information sharing and interactivity of SNS channel has indirect significant impacts on intent to revisit. The result of research has shown that product quality had crucial impact on SNSs channel than service or experience quality. The study also shows that increasing the quality level of a product has a positive relationship with social media channels, which in turn can have a positive effect on information sharing and interactions. This study empirically examines that when customers perceive a product quality including service and experience quality, it induces them to use SNS channel, which eventually make them to revisit the store.

Leaf area index (LAI) is important in explaining the ability of crops to intercept solar energy for biomass production, amount of plant transpiration, and in understanding the impact of crop management practices on crop growth. This paper describes a procedure for estimating LAI as a function of image?derived vegetation indices from temporal series of RapidEye imagery obtained from 2010 to 2012 using empirical models in a rice plain in Seosan, Chungcheongnam?do. Rice plants were sampled every two weeks to investigate LAI, fresh and dry biomass from late May to early October. RapidEye images were taken from June to September every year and corrected geometrically and atmospherically to calculate normalized difference vegetation index (NDVI). Linear, exponential, and expolinear models were developed to relate temporal satellite NDVIs to measured LAI. The expolinear model provided more accurate results to predict LAI than linear or exponential models based on root mean square error. The LAI distribution was in strong agreement with the field measurements in terms of geographical variation and relative numerical values when RapidEye imagery was applied to expolinear model. The spatial trend of LAI corresponded with the variation in the vegetation growth condition.

Background: Circulating inflammatory cytokines and markers are increased in patients with psoriasis. Recent studies have shown that a higher red blood cell distribution width (RDW) is associated with disease activity in various disorders. Objectives: Our objective was to investigate whether RDW is increased in psoriasis patients, and to evaluate its association with disease severity. Methods: We conducted a retrospective study of psoriasis patients seen in single hospital in Korea. Demographic data, hematologic parameters and disease severity were collected. Results: A total of 261 psoriasis patients and 102 healthy controls were included in our study. The RDW value was significantly increased in psoriasis patients compared to healthy control (p=0.037). Compared to mild psoriasispatients (PASI<7), moderate to severe patients (PASI≥7) showed significantly higher RDW values (p=0.044). RDW did not show significant correlation with PASI (p=0.358). When patients were divided into two groups according to their RDW value (<14.6% and ≥14.6%), the mean value of PASI was not significantly different (p=0.219). Conclusion: Patients with psoriasis showed increased RDW values compared to healthy controls. It was also higher in moderate and severe disease group than mild group. RDW values were increased in psoriasis patients and it is possible that RDW value reflects the inflammatory status of psoriasis, but this needs to be evaluated in near future.
Phosphorus Removal in Pilot Plant Using Biofilm Filter Process from Farm Wastewater

Various environmental conditions affecting total phosphorus removal from farm wastewater in a biofilm filter process were investigated using loess balls and Chromobacterium LEE-38 at a pilot plant. When Chromobacterium LEE-38 was used, the removal efficiency of total phosphorous was approximately 10- or 5-fold higher than that of Acinetobacter CHA-2-14 or Acinetobacter CHA-4-5, respectively. When a loess ball of $11{\sim}14mm$ manufactured at a $960^{\circ}C$ calcining temperature was used, the removal efficiency of total phosphorous was 90.0%. When 70% of the volume fraction was used, the maximum efficiency of total phosphorus removal was 93.1%. Notably, when the initial pH was in the range of 6.0 to 8.0, the maximum removal efficiency of total phosphorus was obtained after 30 days. When the operating temperature was in the range of 30 to $55^{\circ}C$, the maximum removal efficiencies of total phosphorus, 95.6 to 94.6%, were obtained. On the other hand, at operating temperatures below $20^{\circ}C$ or above $40^{\circ}C$, the removal efficiency of total phosphorous decreased. Among the various processes, biofilm filter process A gave the highest removal efficiency of 96.4%. Pilot tests of total phosphorus removal using farm wastewater from the biofilm filter process A were carried out for 60 days under optimal conditions. When Acinetobacter sp. Lee-11 was used, the average removal efficiency in the p-adsorption area was only 32.5%, and the removal efficiencies of chemical oxygen demand (COD) and biological oxygen demand (BOD) were 56.7 and 62.5%, respectively. On the other hand, when Chromobacterium LEE-38 was used, the average removal efficiency was 95.1%, and the removal efficiencies of COD and BOD were 91.3 and 93.2%, respectively.

<P>A liquid‐crystalline blue‐phase laser with a tunable photonic bandgap (PBG) of over 150 nm and a wide temperature range is demonstrated by Myoung Hoon Song and Suk‐Won Choi on p. 3002. A lasing peak shift of more than 100 nm is realized due to the large PBG shift of the liquid‐crystalline blue phase. The shift in the lasing wavelength was reversible during repeated temperature changes over the entire stability range of the liquid‐crystalline cubic blue phase. </P>

With the start of T-DMB service, diverse multimedia broadcasting services became available in the high-speed mobile environment. In addition to high-quality digital radio (audio) and television (video), diverse data services, such as Dynamic Label Segment (DLS), JPEG Slideshow (SLS), Broadcast Web Site (BWS), Traffic and Travel Information (TTI), interactive service using Binary Format for Scenes (BIFS), and Visual Radio, are being serviced. Currently, there is an increase in demand in the market for T-DMB monitoring system that can support all the data service available. In this paper, we present T-DMB monitoring systems that can simultaneously decode 6 services of different format within the two ensemble, through suitable algorithms and multi-thread techniques.
