In this paper, we adapted BLDC motor to PV water pumping systems to maintain high efficiency in the wide speed area. Also to design confidence, we adapted the vector control that drive the maximum torque at each speed limit. We designed optimal gain value of current, speed and pressure PI controller. Inverter gate pulse used Space Vector PWM to reduce torque pulsation of BLDC motor. Finally it was improve general matters of high water storage tank method by direct water supply pumping method.

The statistical thermodynamics of hard dumbbell molecular liquids in site frame is studied by using the equivalent hard sphere as the reference system on the other hand and the equivalent hard disphere system on the other hand. Thermodynamic properties are calculated by using the well known Carnahan-Starling fitting function and the recently proposed Wertheim's formula it is then shown, by comparing with the Monte Carlo simulation data, that the hard disphere theory is effectively applicable approximation for the greater elongation and the higher packing fraction of the molecule of the hard dumbbell liquids.
Genetic Evaluation of ALADIN Gene in Early-Onset Achalasia and Alacrima Patients

Background/Aims ALADIN gene has been known to cause achalasia, alacrima, adrenal abnormalities and a progressive neurological syndrome. A considerable proportion of achalasia patients has been known to show alacrima (decreased secretion of tear). However, the genetic mechanism between achalasia and alacrima has not been defined yet. We postulated that ALADIN gene may be involved in the occurrence of early-onset achalasia; thus, we investigated the correlation of ALADIN gene in early-onset achalasia patients. Methods From 1989 to 2007, patients who were diagnosed as primary achalasia before age 35 were enrolled. All of the enrolled patients were asked for (1) blood sampling for DNA, (2) Shirmer test and (3) dysphagia questionnaires. Results The ALADIN gene in exon 1, 2, 10, 11 and 12 from 19 patients was investigated (M:F = 12:7). The mean age of patients at diagnosis was 27 ± 5 (15-35) years old. Eight out of 19 (42%) showed alacrima by the positive Shirmer test. In spite of thorough exam in the genetic study, there was no definite abnormal genetic finding in this study. Conclusions A considerable number of achalasia patients showed alacrima. Due to the limitation of this study, it is difficult to conclude that early-onset achalasia may have significant correlations with the ALADIN gene. (J Neurogastroenterol Motil 2011;17:169-173)
환경지역 운영에 따른 영세 화물 차주의 경제적 손실규모 추정

수도권 도심 대기질 개선을 위한 환경지역 운영 정책의 긍정적 편익이 5년간 약 3조 3천억원인 것으로 추산(최기주, 2009)되는 등 해당 정책의 당위성은 충분히 인정되고 있다. 그러나 영세 화물 차주에게 배출저감장치 부착 등과 같은 저공해화 조치는 큰 부담이며, 저공해화 미이행 차량에 대한 환경지역의 운행규제는 생계에 치명적인 영향을 끼칠 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 화물운송시장 자료 등을 활용하여 3개 대안별 영세 화물 차주의 규모를 추정한 뒤, 교통수요분석을 통해 해당 차량의 총주행거리 감소분을 산정, 이에 따른 경제적 손실규모를 추정하였다. 그 결과 영세 화물 치주에 대한 손실규모 추정액은 5년간 약 6조 1천억원으로 긍정적 편익을 크게 상회하는 것으로 나타나 이에 대한 대응책 마련이 절실한 것으로 판명되었다. 이는 국가적인 차원에서 다수의 편익을 위해 추진하는 정책이라 할지라도 소수의 의한 경제적 손실규모가 더 크게 발생할 수 있기 때문에 정책 시행에 앞서 충분한 검토가 필요함을 시사한다. The positive effects of the air quality improvement policy have revealed sufficiently such as 3.3 trillion won of social benefits under the Environmental Zone in five years(K. Choi, 2009). In case of low-income freight truck owner, however, could be burdened with the requirement likes emission decreasing equipment. Eventually, restraint of running in the Environmental Zone would be affected their livelihood seriously. After estimating the scale of low-income freight truck owner for three alternatives with Road Freight Transport Center data, this study calculates decreased VKT to estimate the scale of monetary loss. In the result, decreased income amount of low-income freight truck owner under the restricted running estimated 6.1 trillion won during 5 years, quite exceeding 3.3 trillion won of the positive benefits as improving air quality, which means the necessity of immediate countermeasure. In other words, even though the governmental policy aimed benefits for the majority, the result implies that the total monetary losses of the minority could be exceed against the positives, therefore analysis should be considered carefully before the policy becomes effective.

Long-term outcomes of abdominal paraganglioma

Purpose: Paragangliomas (PGL) are rare neuroendocrine tumors derived from chromaffin cells of the autonomic nervous system. We aim to describe our experience and the long-term outcome of abdominal PGL over the last decade. Methods: A retrospective review of patients diagnosed with PGL in our hospital between November 2005 and June 2017 was conducted. All nonabdominal PGL were excluded and the clinicopathological features and long-term outcomes of the patients were analyzed. Results: A total of 46 patients were diagnosed with abdominal PGL. The average age of diagnosis was 55.4 years and there was no sex predilection. The average tumor size was 5.85 cm and they were predominantly located in the infrarenal position (50%). The mean follow-up period was 42 months (range, 1.8–252 months). All patients with metastases had Pheochromocytoma of the Adrenal Gland Scaled Score (PASS) of ≥4. One patient presented with synchronous metastases while 2 developed local recurrence and distant metastases. One presented with only local recurrence. One patient died 5 years after diagnosis. Conclusion: Abdominal PGL is a rare tumor with excellent long-term prognosis. Recurrence although uncommon, can occur decades after initial diagnosis. Long-term follow-up is therefore recommended for all patients with PGL, especially in patients with PASS of ≥4
귀리 흑변 종자에서 분리된 Pyrenophora avenae의 특성

In January 2017, discolored black oat seeds were found in the storage depot of a farmhouse in Jeongeup. Pyrenophora sp. was detected in 45% of the oat seeds surveyed. All Pyrenophora isolates obtained from the seeds were identified as Pyrenophora avenae based on the sequences of internal transcribed spacer (ITS) rDNA regions and glyceraldehyde 3-phosphate dehydrogenase (GPDH) gene and validated by morphological and cultural characterization. A phylogenetic tree constructed using the ITS and GPDH sequences showed that the Korean isolates of P. avenae comprise of four genetically distinct groups. Pathogenicity test validated that the fungus is an infectious agent responsible for discolored black seeds and leaf blotch in oat plants. This is the first study report that P. avenae causes leaf blotch disease of oat in Korea.
