      • 급냉 제강슬래그를 잔골재로 사용한 차폐콘크리트의 공학적 특성에 관한 실험적 연구

        The steel slag, a by~product which is produced during the manufacture of steel by refining pig iron, is mainly used as road materials after aging it. It is necessary to age steel slag for long time in air because the reaction with water and free-CaO in steel slag could make the expansion of volume. This problem prevents steel slag from being used as aggregate for concrete. However, steel slag used in this study was controled by a air-jet method which rapidly cools substance melted at a high temperature. The rapid-chilling method prevents from generation of free-CaO in steel slag. The rapid-chilled steel slag is similar to be spherical shape and has the heavier specific gravity than natural aggregate. Therefore, it could be used to manufacture radiation shielding concrete as fine aggregate. This paper investigated the engineering properties of radiation shielding concrete when using rapid-chilled steel slag as fine aggregate. As results of this study, the increase of use of rapid-chilled steel slag decreased the desirable water content of concrete but developed the rate of radiation shielding of concrete. The strength of concrete using it is similar to that of concrete using river sand.

      • 사연 및 동판저수지의 식물성 플랑크톤에 관한 연구

        본 연구는 1994년 2,5,8,11월의 4회에 걸쳐 실시하였다. 조사 결과 동정 분류된 식물성 프랑크톤은 사연호가 6강 126분류군, 동판저수지가 5강 100분류군으로 전체 6강 211분류군이 출현하였다. 월별 종조성은 사연호에서 5월이 50분류군, 8월이 43분류군, 2월이 31분류군 순으로 출현하였다. 동판저수지는 5월이 49분류군, 11월이 27분류군, 2월 25분류군, 8월이 24분류군 순이다. 강별 구성비에서 두 지역모두 녹조강이 가장 많고 다음이 규조강 순이다. 전체 종조성은 사연호는 녹조강 54.3%, 규조강이 25.2%, 유글레나강 7.9%, 남조강 7.1%, 황녹조강 4.7%, 황갈조강 0.8%순이다. 동판저수지의 전출현 종에 대한 종조성은 규조강 51.4%, 녹조강33.9%, 유글레나강 11.0%, 황갈조강 3.7%, 황녹조강 10.9%의 종조성을 나타내었다. 환경요인은 pH의 경우 사연호 8월에 9.28로 가장 높고, DO는 동판 5월이 12.3㎎/ℓ으로 가장 높게 나타났다. 클로로필 a는 사연 2월이 13.1㎎/㎥로 가장 높으며, 부유물질은 동판저수지 5월에 85.0㎎/ℓ으로 가장 높았다. Phytoplankton flora of Sayoun and Tongpan-Reservoirs were studied. A total of 204 taxa (Sayoun-Reservoir, 126 taxa : Tongpan-Reservoir, 100 taxa) were indentified. The Major taxa of two localities was Chlorophyceae 46.7% and Bacillariophyceae 35.1%. As the bloom causing species. Microcystis aeruginosa. Ceratium hirudinella and Peridinium divergens were identified. The chlorophyll a concentration of Tongpan-Reservoir was higher then Sayoun-Reservoir.

        KOH 수열 처리에 의한 하동카오린으로부터 Zeolite의 합성

        Two different kinds of cases, with and without addition of noncrystalline silica to the Hadong kaolin were studied to obtain useful infomation on the synthesis of zeolite. The research was carried out to investigate the formation area and the crystalized degree of zeolite according to a synthetic time, the water content of raw material mixture, KOH concentration, and stirring intensity. In the case of without addition of noncrystalline silica to the Hadong kaolin and the low concentration range of KOH, the structure of the kaolin was not changed. However, when the mole ratio of K2O/SiO₂ in natural kaolin was increased, Linde-L zeolite and unknown structure of kaolins, U-1 and U-2 were produced. While in the high concentration range of KOH, the unknown structure of kaolins, U-6 and U-2, were produced and the production rate of U-6 was increased with the increased of K₂O/SiO₂ mole ratio. In the case of with addition of noncrystalline silica to the Hadong kaoline and treatment with KOH hydrothermal processing, ZSM-5, ZSM-35, and Linde-L zeolites and the mixture of unknown structure of zeolites, U-1, U-2, U-3, and U-4 were obtained Both cases demonstrated that the synthesis of zeolite from the Hadong kaolin was highly influenced by KOH concentration of raw material mixture.

      • 전해공정에 의한 피혁폐수의 질소제거

        This study was conducted to investigate the removal efficiency of COD and NH??-N from the discharge of tannery industrial complex wastewater treatment plant by electrochemical oxidation process, which was used as pretreatment process for enhancing the biological removal efficiency. On the variation of electric current 1,2, and 4A, the removal efficiencies of COD after the lapse of 2hr of electrolysis were 9.0, 27.8, and 66.0%, and those of NH??-N after the lapse of 3hr reaction were 30%, 61% and 99%, respectively. The result of pH effect demonstrated that COD removal efficiency was not much influenced by initial pH but NH??-N removal was very effective in the initial pH4. Through the electrolysis at constant pH conditions(pH4, 8, and 10), it was observed that pH10 was the best reaction condition for NH??-N removal In the result of the effect of NaCl addition as much as 0, 1, 3, and 7g, the removal efficiencies of COD were 27.8, 82.0, 88.0, and 95.0% and those of NH??-N were 33.0, 67.4, 70.8, and 99.97% after the laspe of 2hr reaction, respectively.

        은이온 교환 A형 제오라이트로 부터의 은이온용출이 항균력에 미치는 영향

        An author has been known that A-type zeolite supported with silver ions has excellent antibacterial activity. However, it is no research of concern in the antibacterial activity of eluted silver ions. This study tested the elution of silver ions from A-type zeolite silver ions in deionized distilled water and NaNO₃ aqueous solution. In NaNO₃ aqueous solution of 74mM to 588mM, it was found that the concentration of silver ions and electric conductivity increased with the increasing concentration of sodium ions, and equilibrated at 15 min, and the ion exchange equilibrium coefficient, k, is 1.3x 10^(-3). However, deionized distilled water is not equilibrated to pass 6 months. A-type zeolite sodium ions showed no antibacterial activity. It was found that antibacterial activity was exhibited even at the concentration of 10 nM of eluted silver ions, and E-coli died with the incorporation of 2.43 × 10^(8) Ag ion/cell. antibacterial activity of A-type zeolite silver ions were mainly attributed to hydroxyl radical.

        This study emphasize on removal of organic matter by indirect oxidation process. In the electrolytic treatment, ??, ?? is producted by chloride. ??, ?? is used to organic matter oxidation. This study was conducted for the effects of organic matter oxidation, electrolysis time, electric current, ?? concentrations, and pH due to production of ??, ?? by electrolysis. Also, possibility on the second treatment by activated carbon adsorption was investigated. The results obtained were as follows : pH was rapidly increased less than 10 minutes, and was maintained after 30 minutes. When the temperature was not constantly maintained. The removal rate of TOC was increased up to 32% with the increasing of ?? concentrations and the increasing of electrolytic current. Effects of pH was not observed. When electrolysis was not carried out, adsorption constant k and 1/n were 0.017, 1.684, respectively. After the electrolysis with 1, 3, 5, 8A electrolysis, k and 1/n were 0.02, 0.022, 0.025, 0.018, 0.874, 0.518, and 0.887, 0.77, respectively. This result indicated that the wastewater included some material which is difficult to decompose. This wastewater need to pretreatment rather than independent electrolysis.

        A numerical study for the electrolyte flow of Lithium/Thionyl Chloride Battery is performed and the applicability of the developed algorithm for a further study is examined. Conservatives forms of each related governing equation is solved by finite volume based numerical scheme and a few test cases studied with several known velocity profiles. Further modelings of various source terms are required.

      • A comparative study on the inhibitory effects of mast cell-mediated allergic reactions by artificially cultured and wild Acanthopanax senticosus

        We compared the effect between CAS and WAS(root, stem) on mast cell-mediated allergic reaction. CAS, WAS-root and WAS-stem, significantly inhibited compound 48/80-induced systemic allergic reaction(1g/kg) and histamine release from RPMC(1mg/ml). CAS, WAS-root and WAS-stem also inhibited passive cutaneous anaphylactic reaction. In addition, IgE-induced $TNF-{\alpha}$ secretion from RBL-2H3 was inhibited by pretreatment of CAS, WAS-root or WAS-stem$(0.01{\mu}g/ml)$. Taken together, inhibitory effect on mast cell-mediated allergic reactions of WAS-root is greater than those of WAS-stem but less than those of CAS.

      • 남강의 부착규조 군집을 이용한 유기오탁 판정

        함양군, 산청군, 하동군, 진주시, 의령군에 걸쳐 흐르는 5개 정점의 남강 지류를 1998년 1월, 4월, 7월, 10월에 각각 부착규조 군집를 이용하여 수질을 평가하였다. 조사결과 2목, 3아목, 7과, 27속, 117종 16변종으로 총 133 분류군의 부착규조가 분류되었다. 전체 출현한 133분류군 가운데 호청수성종이 28(21.1%)종, 호오탁성종이 12(9.0%)종, 광적응성종이 93(69.9%)종으로 나타났다. DAIpo 값은 상류에서 하류로 내려갈수록 값이 낮아지며, 정점 1에서 3까지는 β-빈부수성이고, 정점 4는 α-빈부수성이며, 정점 5는 β-중부수성으로 측정되었다. 전반적인 우점종은 Gomphonema quadripunctatum, G. clevei, Achnanthes minutissima, Cymbella affinis 등이었다. 중·상류에서는 Achnanthes convergens와 A. minutissima 등이 우점 분류군이었다. To assess for water quality in terms of the epilithic diatom community of the Nam River, which wind through Hamyang, Sanchong, Uiryeong and Hadong-gun, Chinju City, all in Kyongnam Province, Korea. Samples were collected from five sampling stations in January, April, July and October, 1998, respectively. A total of 133 diatom taxa was collected from the study sites, which were classified into 117 species and 16 varieties belonging to 27 genera, 7 families, 3 suborders and 2 orders; 28 saproxenous taxa, 12 saprophilous taxa, 93 indifferent taxa. DAIpo values decreased as going to lower course and according to degree of tolerance to organic water pollution, from 1 to 3 stations ranged from β-oligosaprobic, 4 station from α-oligosaprobic, 5 station from β-mesosaprobic. Normally the dominant species were Gomphonema quadripunctatum, G. clevei, Achnanthes minutissima and Cymbella affinis. Such as A. convergens and A. minutissima were found dominant as in the mid-to-upper streams.
