Purpose: The purpose of this study was to develop a balanced scorecard (BSC) for performance measurement of a Korean hospital nursing organization and to evaluate the validity and reliability of performance measurement indicators. Method: Two hundred fifty-nine nurses in a Korean hospital participated in a survey questionnaire that included 29-item performance evaluation indicators developed by investigators of this study based on the Kaplan and Norton’ BSC (1992). Cronbach’ alpha was used to test the reliability of the BSC. Exploratory and confirmatory factor analysis with a structure equation model (SEM) was applied to assess the construct validity of the BSC. Result: Cronbach’ alpha of 29 items was .948. Factor analysis of the BSC showed 5 principal components (eigen value >1.0) which explained 62.7% of the total variance, and it included a new one, community service. The SEM analysis results showed that 5 components were significant for the hospital BSC tool. Conclusion: High degree of reliability and validity of this BSC suggests that it may be used for performance measurements of a Korean hospital nursing organization. Future studies may consider including a balanced number of nurse managers and staff nurses in the study. Further data analysis on the relationships among factors is recommended.
대사증후군에 영향을 미치는 유전적 인구학적 요인에 관한 연구

This study intended to determine the prevalence rate of metabolic syndrome recently considered as a critical risky factor of cardiovascular disorders and also aimed to determine whether the family history of typical chronic disorders (hypertension, cardiovascular disorders and diabetes) have any significant relationships with metabolic syndrome. The data used for this study were referred to the results of National Healthcare and Nutrition Survey(2001) from Korea Institute for Health and Social Affairs(KIHASA) and the subject of final analysis was the data from a population of 6,601 adults with 20 years old or older ages. The prevalence rate of metabolic syndrome throughout all samples reached 27.3%. As a result, it was found that there were more or less significant differences in the family history statistically among groups. As the healthcare habits such as smoking, drinking, exercise or the like may have more or less significant influences on metabolic syndrome. Hence, it is advisable that follow-up studies consider all factors that may affect metabolic syndrome.
인공고관절 전치환술 임상관리도(clinical pathway) 및 입원계획표(patient pathway) 개발

This study is to develop and a clinical a patient pathway which show multidisciplinary approach and most cost effective process to take care of patients with total hip replacement. The location far this study was an orthopedic surgical unit at a major medical center which is affiliated with a university. A clinical pathway was developed far the patients with total hip replacement by reviewing charts, literature, and the standing order of the unit. Validity of the clinical pathway was checked by clinical experts and its contents were verified by utilizing the pathway in taking care of patients who underwent total hip replacement surgery from December 15. 1999 to March 15. 2000. The patient pathway was developed on the basis of the clinical pathway at the conclusion. The clinical and the patient pathway can provide a standard guidance to care for patients with the given diagnosis. Also, the clinical pathway can be used in the orientation for new nurses and can be used as an effective communication methods among the health care providers in a hospital. Furthermore, the pathway can reduce the administrative costs by simplifying each task.

가까운 미래에 도래할 제4차 산업혁명은 물리적 공간과 디지털 공간의 경계가 무너지는 융합의 시대를 주도할 것이며 산업구조와 사회경제적으로 큰 변화를 초래할 것으로 예측된다. 특히 이러한 변화는 일자리 지형에도 영향을 미쳐 과학기술인력에게 요구하는 직무역량에도 변화를 가져올 것으로 전망된다. 이에 본 연구의 목적은 과학기술인력이 미래 일자리 지형변화에 대응하고 핵심직무를 성공적으로 수행하기 위해 필요한 핵심역량을 제시하고자 하였다. 연구목적 달성을 위해 문헌연구, 전문가 FGI와 면접조사를 활용하여 핵심역량을 도출하고 역량모델을 설계하였다. 본 연구의 역량모델은 Spencer&Spencer의 빙산모델과 Lucia&Lepsinger의 역량 피라미드를 이론적 기반으로 실무적인 관점에서 O*Net의 Content Model과 미국 노동부의 Competency Model 등을 활용하여 설계되었다. 미래사회 과학기술인력의 역량모델은 개인특성, 학습능력, 업무능력, 지식을 포함한 4개의 역량군, 16개의 역량요소와 세부항목으로 구성되었다. 한편, 본 연구는 다음의 의의를 가질 수 있다. 첫째, 이론적으로는 역량과 역량모델 개발의 사례를 과학기술인력으로 확장하였으며, 둘째, 정책적으로는 미래 산업구조와 일자리 지형의 변화가 가속화되는 상황에서 핵심직무수행에 요구되는 역량을 도출함으로써 미래사회에 대응을 위한 과학기술인력양성과 교육정책 방향성 수립에 활용 가능한 기초자료로써의 정책적 함의를 제시하였다.
