고등학생의 양극성장애성향이 자살사고 및 자살시도에 미치는 영향: 성별에 따른 아동기 학대경험의 조절효과

본 연구에서는 남녀 고등학생의 양극성장애성향이 자살사고 및 자살시도에 미치는 영향을 살펴보고, 그 과정에서 아동기 학대경험이라는 위험요인의 조절효과를 검증하고자 하였다. 연구대상은 서울시 고등학교 6곳에 재학 중인 1, 2학년 남녀 고등학생 609명(남 298명, 여 311명)이었다. 자기보고식 설문으로 수집된 연구 자료를 분석한 결과 첫째, 양극성장애성향은 남학생이 여학생보다 높았으나 아동기 정서 및 신체학대경험과 자살사고는 여학생이 남학생보다 유의하게 높았다. 둘째, 남학생의 양극성장애성향은 자살사고와는 상관이 없었으나 자살시도와는 부적 상관이 있었으며 여학생은 양극성장애성향이 높을수록 자살사고 및 시도가 증가했다. 또한 남녀 모두 학대경험이 많을수록 자살사고 및 시도가 증가했다. 셋째, 남학생과 여학생 모두 아동기 학대경험이 양극성장애성향과 자살사고 간의 관계를 조절하지 않았다. 반면 양극성장애성향과 자살시도 간의 관계에서는 아동기 학대경험 중 정서 및 신체학대경험이 여학생의 자살시도를 더욱 증가시키는 조절효과를 나타냈으나 남학생의 경우 조절효과가 나타나지 않았다. 이상의 결과를 바탕으로 양극성장애성향을 지닌 청소년의 자살문제의 개입에 대하여 논의하였다. This study examined the moderating effects of childhood abuse in the relationship between bipolarity and suicide ideation, attempts of high school students. For this purpose, data were collected from 609 students(298 males and 311 females) in the first and second grades of the six high schools located in Seoul. The results of this study are as follows. First, bipolarity of boys were significantly higher than girls, but girls’ childhood abuse, suicide ideation, and suicide attempt were significantly higher than boys. Second, there were no correlations between the bipolarity and suicide ideation but the negative correlation between bipolarity and suicide attempt in boys, while there were significant positive correlations in girls in that the higher the bipolarity of girls, the higher the suicide ideation and attempt. Third, childhood abuse did not moderate the relationship between bipolarity and suicide ideation in neither boys nor girls. On the other hand, emotional and physical abuse moderated the relationships between bipolarity and suicidal attempts in girls. In particular, boys’ bipolarity negatively predicted suicide ideation and attempt indicating that boys’ bipolarity is characterized by manic mood while girls’ bipolarity tends to be depressed.

In order to investigate the parametric characteristics of ELMs (Edge Localized Modes) in the KSTAR (Korea Superconducting Tokamak Advanced Research) tokamak, predictive numerical simulations have been carried out by using an integrated core-edge transport modeling code. Pressure-driven ballooning modes and current-driven peeling modes are considered in a coupled form as ELM triggering mechanisms. The simulation results demonstrate that the type of triggering modes has a strong effect on the evolution of pedestal parameters such as temperature, density, and bootstrap current, due to the interferences between stabilizing or destabilizing processes of current density and pressure gradient included in the ballooning and peeling modes criteria. The evolutions of temperature and density profiles at the edge region show a mixed oscillating form of ballooning and peeling modes. The relations between pedestal parameters, such as temperature and density, and ELMs are discussed with the effects of a triggering mechanism and calculation results of pedestal parameters are presented. In addition, the maximum dumped heat fluxes onto divertor plates are given according to various pedestal conditions and heating powers.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to explore the effects of the lower limb muscle strength exercise program during hemodialysis on the leg strength and falls efficacy (fall-related self-efficacy) of hemodialysis patients. Methods: The study was designed to be a quasi-experimental, nonequivalent control group pre and post test design. A total of 42 patients participated in the study. We applied lower limb muscle strength exercise program to the experimental group in every hemodialysis three times a week for 8 weeks. Data were analyzed using x<sup>2</sup> test, fisher's exact test, t-test and repeated measures ANOVA. Results: The mean age was 58 years old (t=-1.54, p=.132), the mean hemodialysis period was 67 months (t=1.949, p=.058) and there was no significant difference of dependent variable (t=1.17, p=.251)(t=-.89, p=.381) between the two groups before the experiment. After the experiment, leg strength was significantly improved in the experimental group compared to that of the control group (F=6.63, p=.004). However, falls efficacy was not significantly different between the experimental group and the control group (F=2.33, p=.104). Conclusion: The study results indicated that the lower limb muscle strength exercise program during hemodialysis may improve leg strength and potentially to prevent falls for hemodialysis patients. Further studies are warranted in which larger number of participants and longer duration of intervention are recommended.
Simulation of Tokamak SOL and Divertor Region Including Heat Flux Mitigation by Gas Puffing

Two-dimensional (2D), scrape-off layer (SOL)-divertor transport simulations are performed using the integrated plasma-neutral-impurity code KTRAN developed at Seoul National University. Firstly, the code is applied to reproduce a National Spherical Torus eXperiment (NSTX) discharge by using the prescribed transport coefficients and the boundary conditions obtained from the experiment. The plasma density, the heat flux on the divertor plate, and the D α emission rate profiles from the numerical simulation are found to follow experimental trends qualitatively. Secondly, predictive simulations are carried out for the baseline operation mode in Korea Superconducting Tokamak Advanced Research (KSTAR) to predict the heat flux on the divertor target plates. The stationary peak heat flux in the KSTAR baseline operation mode is expected to be 6.5 MW/m2 in the case of an orthogonal divertor. To study the mitigation of the heat flux, we investigated the puffing effects of deuterium and argon gases. The puffing position is assumed to be in front of the strike point at the outer lower divertor plate. In the simulations, mitigation of the peak heat flux at the divertor target plates is found to occur when the gas puffing rate exceeds certain values, ∼1.0 × 1020 /s and ∼5.0 × 1018 /s for deuterium and argon, respectively. Multi-charged impurity transport is also investigated for both NSTX and KSTAR SOL and divertor regions.
