중국 대련(大蓮)지역 일부 노인의 양생(養生)수준에 대한 평가

This study was explore the level of Yangseng by certain elderly people in Dalian, china. The subject of this study is(randomly) selected Dalian residents over 65 years-old. We used a formultaed questionnaire for this research during the period from October 2004 to November. 266 subjects in total answered to the questionnaire. The analyses are as follows: 1. Man does more Exercise Yangseng than woman. Elderly with spouse has better Total of Yangseng, Exercise Yangseng, Seasonal Yangseng, Sex life Yangseng than single elderly. Compare to elderly living with family other than their spouse, single elderly has better Total of Yangseng, Diet Yangseng, Activities and rest Yangseng, Exercise Yangseng, Sex life yangseng. 2. Educated elderly has better life than illiterate in every aspects except Diet Yangseng and Seasonal Yangseng. Elderly who does not belive in any religion has better Activities and rest Yangseng and Seasonal Yangseng. Religious elderly has better sleep yangseng than irreligioius elderly. Elderly with occupation has better Total of Yangseng, Activities and rest Yangseng, Exercise Yangseng and Sex life Yangseng. 3. Elderly who support himself of the living expense has better Sleep Yangseng, and elderly who support himself with his sons and daughters has better Morality Yangseng, Exercise Yangseng, Seasonal Yangseng and Sex life Yangseng. Elderly who has time to spare has better life than elderly who has bo leisure in Total of Yangseng and other 8 sub-factors.

혈부축어탕(血府逐瘀湯) 추출물(抽出物)이 고지방식이(高脂肪食餌)로 유발(誘潑)시킨 고지혈증(高脂血症) 흰쥐의 혈액(血液) 및 간(肝) 기능(機能)에 미치는 영향(影響)

Objectives: The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of Hyolbuchukeo-tang extracts on the hyperlipidemia rats induced by high fat diet. Methods and Materials: In vitro; The extracts prepared for Hyolbuchukeo-tang by hot water extraction (HH), fermentation(HF) and UMPM extraction(HU) method. The extracts were examined for levels of polyphenol compounds, antioxidant activities, and inhibitory potencies for HMG-CoA reductase. In vivo; Sprague-Dawley male rats of weighing $150{\pm}5g$ were randomly divided into six groups ; normal control diet(NC), and high fat diet(HC), high fat diet with treated lovastatin of 10mg/kg(PC), high fat diet with Hyolbuchukeo-tang extracts; HH, HF and HU treated extracts of 300mg/kg, respectively. Also, we compared the effects of the extracts of HH, HF and HU on rats fed high fat diet for four weeks. Results: 1. The content of polyphenol compounds and electron donating abilities(EDAs) was the HF higher than HH and HU. The superoxide dismutase(SOD)-like activities were proportionate in consistency and they appeared highly from all extracts. The HMG-CoA reductase inhibition activities was highest activities in the HU. 2. The activities of serum GOT and GPT were significantly lower in the HH and HF groups. The level of serum triglyceride was significantly decreased in the HF group. HH and HU groups were significantly decreased in the atherogenic index(AI). The total cholesterol concentration in liver was significantly decreased in the HF group, and HU showed more significantly decreased in the triglyceride than of the lovastatin. Also, photomicrographs of liver tissue showed higher fat accumulation in the HC group than in the HH, HF and HU groups. Conclusions: These result suggest that the hyper-lipidemia caused by a high fat diet was effectively inhibited the administration of HF and HU.

휘담식 수기요법을 병행한 結節性 痒疹의 韓醫 單獨 治驗 1 例

Objective : The purpose of this study is to report about a mid-40’s female patient with Prurigo Nodularis, whose symptoms were relieved after Korean medicine treatment alone with Whidam’s Su-Gi Therapy. Methods : the patient in this study received only Korean medicine treatment such as herbal medication, acupuncture treatment, cupping therapy and specially Whidam's Su-Gi therapy. Results : After the treatment, the symptoms of Prurigo Nodularis were relieved. Contact Itching Index fell from 10 to 5, and Non-Contact Itching Index fell from 10 to 4. On the whole the Body Heat has risen and skin condition has improved visually. The significance of Meridian Function Check(based on HRV) and skin syndrome is remarkable., Conclusions : This study showed that Whidam’s Su-Gi therapy added with Korean Medicine treatment can be an effective choice for Prurigo Nodularis. So, wasting disease, especially immune-reduced syndrome such as Prurigo Nodularis, may also be treated with Korean Medicine alone without side effects.

산후병 치험례로 살펴본 적극적 산후관리를 위한 한의학적 방법론 연구

Objects : The purpose of this study is to evaluate Korean medicine treatment as an active postpartum care for women with San-Hu-Byung. Methods : We examined 35 patients(39 cases) with San-Hu-Byung who had hospitalized at the M Korean medicine hospital in Gyeonggi Province between January 1st, 2006 and March 31th, 2015. Based on medical records and questionnaires, we analyzed the general characteristics, main symptoms, duration of hospitalization, treatment satisfaction, etc. We also reviewed and analyzed the results using multifaceted questions. Results : 1. The patients were divided into four age groups; 30-34 years old(46%), 35-39 years old(33%), 27-29 years old(13%), more than 40 years old(5%) and less than 26 years old(3%) in the order. 2. Patients appealed musculoskeletal symptoms(44.05%), reproductive and breast symptoms(21.43%), circulatory symptoms(10.12%), neuropsychiatric symptoms(8.33%), digestive symptoms(7.14%), the other symptoms(5.95%), urinary symptoms(1.79%) and respiratory symptoms(1.19%) in the order. 3. Duration of hospitalization were; within 2 months(33.33%), more than 3 months(25.64%), within 1 month(17.95%), within 3 weeks(12.82%), within 3 months(5.13%) in the order. 4. The improvement of musculoskeletal symptoms including back pain was measured by VAS. After 6 weeks, the pain fell to less than half. After 12 weeks , the pain fell to less than 1. 5. Average satisfaction with Korean medicine treatment is a 4.51 out of 5. Conclusions : As an active postpartum care, Korean medical treatment had significant effect on San-Hu-Byung and patients found the treatment satisfying.

휘담식 진동기 골반수기로 개선된 급성 요통 증후군으로 인한 보행장애 증례

Objective : The purpose of this study is to report the results of treating patients with acute low back pain syndrome who are difficult to walk with Whidam's Vibrator Pelvic Sugi Therapy. Methods : We used combinations of korean medicine such as herbal medicine, acupuncture, cupping therapy, and thermal therapy. At the same time, the patient was treated with Whidam's Vibrator Pelvic Sugi Therapy. The first period of hospitalization was 14 days and the second period was 54 days. At the second hospitalization, back pain recurred and was unable to walk. At the first hospitalization, L5-S1 HIVD and L4-5 Mild HIVD were diagnosed on lumbar MRI, and there was no abnormality in blood tests. Results : By relieving muscle tension and restoring the weakened muscle elasticity with herbal treatment and Whidam's Vibrator Pelvic Sugi Therapy, back pain decreased and the inability to walk gradually improved, making it possible to walk on its own. Conclusions : The results of standing and walking on one's own were obtained by relieving muscle tension and restoring weakened muscle elasticity in acute back pain syndrome with gait disturbance diagnosed with lumbar herniated intervertebral disc through korean medicine treatment and Whidam's Vibrator Pelvic Sugi Therapy. Whidam's Vibrator Pelvic Sugi Therapy is thought to help acute back pain by restoring muscle elasticity and strengthening muscle strength. In the future, it is expected that additional clinical studies will be conducted on various pain diseases with Whidam's Vibrator Pelvic Sugi Therapy.

무심기공 도인법과 보법의 임상 적용 보고서

Objective : From March 2018 to July 2022, H Korean Medicine Hospital conducted a guidance on Gigong training using the Moosim Gigong Doinbeop and Moosim Gigong Walking. This report intends to report the results and share the specific methods of a guidance on Gigong training used in the process of implementation, thereby helping the research of a guidance on Gigong training later. Methods : The methods and results of the implementation of Moosim Gigong Doinbeop and Moosim Gigong Walking implemented by H Korean Medicine Hospital were reported. For the movements of Doinbeop, the posture and movements, the precautions to be taken when guiding, the alternative movements, and the meaning of the movements were summarized. For Moosim Gigong Walking, the method of progress, the method of motion, precautions to be taken, and replaceable movements were summarized. The method of implementing the guidance on Gigong training for severely ill and elderly patients was introduced. The application cases that were applied to some diseases and effective were recorded. Results : At H Korean Medicine Hospital, Moosim Gigong Doinbeop and Moosim Gigong Walking were conducted in the form of an open lecture, and 4,682 patients attended the Doinbeop class and 3,373 patients attended the Walking class. There is no restriction on the type of disease of the participating patients. The attending physician recommends and the patient wishes, the patient participates in the course. Conclusions : Curing technology is a long-standing treatment method of Korean Medicine, but it has not yet been activated in the modern Korean Medicine system. Research on the guidance on Gigong training can be conducted to establish itself as a new treatment method for Korean Medicine.

휘담식 곡골수기법을 병용한 갑상선기능저하증 1례 증례 보고

Objective : A common treatment for hypothyroidism is to supplement the deficient hormones. However, taking hormone medication does not improve clinical symptoms or side effects, so it is necessary to develop other improved treatments. The purpose of this study is to report that the Korean medicine treatment along with Whidam’s Gokgol(CV2) Sugi therapy has improved symptoms of hypothyroidism and related the level of TSH, free T4 after halting the use of levothyroxine. Methods : We employed Korean medicine treatment; herbal-medication(延齡固本丹 and 加減平胃散), acupuncture, and cupping therapy, and so forth. At the same time, we treated the patient with Whidam's Sugi therapy(especially, Gokgol Sugi therapy). We treated the patient more than five times a week for the first month and treated more than three times a week for the next three months. Since then, we have treated the patient once or twice a week. The patient took a total of four blood tests during her treatment in 2012 and 2017. Results : 1. Both TSH and free T4 levels and clinical symptoms were normalized for patient with hypothyroidism who stopped taking levothyroxine by treating the patient with Korean medicine treatment and Whidam's Sugi therapy. 2. The combination of Korean medicine treatment and Whidam's Sugi therapy was also used in the case of subclinical hypothyroidism patient. 3. The combination of Korean medicine treatment and Whidam's Sugi therapy for hypothyroidism lasted for five years, not just for a short period of time. Conclusions : The combination of Korean medicine treatment and Whidam's Sugi therapy(especially, Gokgol Sugi therapy) was effective in the treatment of hypothyroidism and it helped to normalize the level of TSH, free T4. It is hoped that further clinical research will continue in the future so that it can be used not only for hypothyroidism but also for other endocrine diseases.

A Study on the Relationship between the Brain and the Pelvis

Methods : The relationship between the pelvis and the brain was searched in PubMed, and these searching studies were reviewed. Conclusions : 1. Urinary disorder is influenced by brain. 2. Brain is influenced by luteinizing hormone. 3. Pelvic floor muscles are influenced by brain. 4. Urological Chronic Pelvic Pain Syndrome(UCPPS) is influenced by brain. 5. Brain is influenced by the low intensity laser acupuncture stimulating thirteen ghost acupoints(includes CV1)
