골판지 배지를 이용한 실내 식용식물 수경재배 제품 개발

As the number of single-person households increases and indoor activities increase in the aftermath of COVID-19, the indoor plant grower market is growing. This is due to safety issues for external food and psychological effects as companion plants, and various related products have been released, but users are having difficulties understanding the professional cultivation properties of edible plants and lack of experience. In addition, most of the information collection is done online, and exclusive products using artificial media also have an environmental burden in the process of disposal. Therefore, in this study, it was experimentally confirmed whether the growth potential and harvest time of hydroponic cultivation could be controlled by preparing a medium using corrugated cardboard as an artificial soil for hydroponic cultivation for 6 representative indoor edible plants. Conditions for marketability were confirmed. In addition, for ordinary people who lack professional experience, we proposed a user-customized modular product that applied intuitive symbols to the hydroponic cultivation conditions such as light and water, which are the cultivation conditions of plants, by grafting the concept of universal design. This design result is a hydroponic cultivation product that is easily accessible even to beginners, and it was possible to confirm the product potential, expandability of the product, and intuitiveness of use. 1인 가구의 증가와 COVID-19 여파로 실내활동이 증가함에 따라 실내 식물재배기 시장이 성장하고 있다. 이는 대외적 먹거리에 대한 안전성 이슈와 반려 식물로서의 심리적 효과에 기인하고 있으며, 다양한 관련 상품이 출시되었으나 사용자는식용식물에 대한 전문적인 재배 속성을 이해하기 어렵고 경험이 부족하여 어려움을 겪고 있다. 또한 대부분의 정보 수집은온라인을 통해 이루어지고 있으며, 인공배지를 사용하는 전용 제품은 폐기의 과정에 환경적 부담도 존재한다. 이에 본 연구에서는 대표적인 실내 식용식물 6종을 대상으로 기존의 수경재배용 인공토양으로서 골판지를 활용한 배지를 제작하여 수경재배의 생장 가능성과 수확시기를 조절할 수 있는지를 실험으로 확인하였으며 실험 결과 제한적이긴 하나 상품성의 조건을 확인하였다. 또한 전문 경험이 부족한 일반인들을 위해 유니버설디자인 개념을 접목하여 식물의 재배 조건인 빛과 물등 수경재배 조건을 직관적인 상징 기호를 적용한 사용자 맞춤형 모듈형 제품을 제안하였다. 본 디자인 결과물은 초보자들도 쉽게 접근 가능한 수경재배 제품으로 상품 가능성과 제품의 확장성, 사용 직관성 등을 확인할 수 있었다.

Precision injection molding is an important technology for improving productivity and lowering costs in the fields of medical components, lenses and electrical connectors. The quality of injection molded parts is affected by various processing conditions such as filling time and packing pressure profile. It is difficult to consider all the variables at the same time for prediction of the quality. In this study, the genetic algorithm was used to obtain the optimal processing conditions for minimizing the volumetric shrinkage of molded parts. For a higher convergence rate, the method of design of experiments was used to analyze the relationship between processing conditions and volumetric shrinkage of molded parts, which served as analysis tool for the capability of searching optimal processing conditions but also greatly reduces the calculation time by utilizing the information of searching area. As a practical example, compact disks that require micron-level precision were chosen for the study.
A Turbine-Blade-Balancing Problem with Some Locking Blades

In the turbine-blade manufacturing industry, turbine-blades are machined and then are assembled to form a circular roll of blades. The roll of blades should be balanced as much as possible, since otherwise the efficiency of the turbine generator might be damaged. A locking blade is a blade whose location is fixed and a non-locking blade is a blade whose location can be freely changed. In this paper, we study methods for balancing the weights of the rotating blades for a turbine where some blades are locking blades. The turbine-blade balancing problem is formulated into a mixed-integer programming problem, which turns out to be NP-hard. A heuristic method based on the number partitioning algorithm is developed and the computational experiments show very promising results.

The process of professionalization-an overlooked aspect in the modernization of architecture-comprises not only the establishment of an inner discipline but also its acceptance by the society at large. In the architectural exhibitions of the modern era we find an active field of publicity where architects strived to gain professional legitimacy and social status by projecting to its lay visitors an appropriate image of the discipline in the new social condition, and nowhere were these activities more perceptible than in the annual exhibitions of the Architectural League of New York. Initiated as an architectural sketch club in 1881, the League soon opened its membership to mural painters and sculptors, and constructed an image of architecture based on its close collaboration with the allied arts. Various phases of its exhibition over the span of five decades articulate the gradual transformation in architectural professionalism from the model of Beaux-Arts artists to that of commercial designers, while the ultimate establishment of the discipline as modern art was witnessed at a show organized by an agent external to the profession, the Museum of Modern Art, New York.
포토폴리머 위상 격자를 이용한 파장 역다중화 구조 및 특성 분석

포토폴리머에 형성된 홀로그래픽 부피 위상 격자를 이용한 새로운 구조의 파장 역다중화기를 제안하고, 입증하였다. WDM 용 역다중화 소자로의 적용을 위해 격자의 파장선택성, 공간적 채널 거리, 채널 대역폭에 대한 이론적, 실험적 분석을 통해응용 가능성을 증명하였다. 실험결과 각 채널의 대역폭은 0.21 m이고, 채널간격이 0.8 nm일때 채널누화특성은 26 dB였다. A new wavelength demultiplexing scheme using holographic volume phase grating formed in photopolymer is proposed and demonstrated. Through the analysis and experiments of the design parameters such as wavelength selectivity, operating spectral range, spatial channel distance and spatial intensity distribution of each channel, we proved that the proposed demultiplexing scheme is promising for wavelength division multiplexing (WDM). From the experimental results, the 3 dB bandwidth of 0.21nm and the crosstalk level of 26 dB for a 0.8 nm channel spacing are observed.
