        Measurement of Rn-222 Gas Concentration of Newly Constructed Apartment House in Gwangju Gwangsan

        Radon is produced after the Uranium-238 and thorium-232 undergone radioactive decay process is a colorless, odorless inert gas is stored in a basement or an enclosed space. Building materials are made by a rock or soil materials. Form of radon gas is introduced into the lungs through the respiratory tract and deposited in the lungs or bronchial Daughter nuclides radon causes lung cancer. In this study, To subject the Constructed Apartment in Gwangju Gwangsan-Gu, the position is closed window and opened window was measured using a measuring instrument for radon. The measured results indicate that the measurement was carried out in concentrations of radon gas measured at Newly Constructed Apartment is low than United states in the radon concentration in air public 4 pCi called radon gas baseline maximum allowable concentrations. The exposure caused by radon concentration of new construction apartment when on the measurement results is expected to be insignificant. However, when radon gas like this is that it accumulates in the body and lungs get damaged due to exposure, such as lung cancer often open the windows to reduce the radon concentration measurements, such as in radiation protection aspects to the ventilation to reduce exposure it is considered necessary.

        Putting Climate Change into Water Resource Management: Adaptation Efforts in the U.S. U.K., Canada, Australia, and the Netherland

        As global climate change is expected to influence regional water resources, water resource managers need to establish adaptive management to cope with climate change. We examined adaptive management efforts in the US, UK, Canada, Australia, and the Netherlands. Each country is implementing different levels of adaptation efforts based on current water management practices, institutional arrangements, as well as the varying degree of water availability, current climate effects and expected climate change effects. Based on the comparison of these countries, we suggest policy implications for the sustainable water resource management of Korea under climate changes. 기후변화가 지역의 수자원에 영향을 미칠 것으로 예상됨에 따라 수자원 관리자들은 이에 대응한 적응전략을 수립하는 것이 필요하다. 이에 본고에서는 미국, 영국, 캐나다, 오스트렐리아, 네덜란드의 적응관리의 실태를 검토하였다. 이들 나라들은 현재의 수자원 관리관행, 제도적 장치, 기후변화의 잠재적 수자원 영향에 따라 매우 상이한 적응 관리를 하고 있다. 이들 나라들의 비교연구를 통하여 기후변화에 따른 한국에서의 지속가능한 수자원 관리를 위한 정책적 관련성을 도출하였다.

        동영상에서 칼만 예측기와 블록 차영상을 이용한 얼굴영역 검출기법

        When tracking a human face in the moving pictures with complex background under irregular lighting conditions, the detected face can be larger including background or smaller including only a part of the face. Even background can be detected as a face area. To solve these problems, this paper proposes a new face tracking method using a block difference image and a Kalman estimator. The block difference image allows us to detect even a small motion of a human and the face area is selected using the skin color inside the detected motion area. If the pixels with skin color inside the detected motion area, the boundary of the area is represented by a code sequence using the 8-neighbor window and the head area is detected analysing this code. The pixels in the head area is segmented by colors and the region most similar with the skin color is considered as a face area. The detected face area is represented by a rectangle including the area and its four vertices are used as the states of the Kalman estimator to trace the motion of the face area. It is proved by the experiments that the proposed method increases the accuracy of face detection and reduces the face detection time significantly. 복잡한 환경에서 이동하는 사람의 얼굴영역은 배경과 조명에 의해 확장, 축소 검출되기도 하고 잘못된 영역을 오검출하기도 한다. 본 논문에서는 동영상에서 얼굴을 추적하는데 있어서 확장 혹은 축소검출이나 오검출 문제를 해결하기 위해 블록차영상과 칼만예측기를 사용하는 방법을 제안한다. 블록차영상은 입력영상을 블록화하여 차영상을 얻는 방법으로 미세한 움직임까지 검출이 가능하여 영상에서 움직임이 작은 경우에도 검출이 가능하게 된다. 검출된 움직임영역에서 얼굴영역은 1차적으로 피부색을 이용하여 검출하며 피부색이 검출되지 않는 경우는 움직임영역의 경계선을 8이웃화소 창을 이용하여 부호화하고 머리 부분의 코드를 갖는 영역을 얼굴영역으로 추정하는 방법을 사용한다. 추정된 얼굴영역을 컬러분할하고 분할된 영역에서 피부색과 가장 가까운 색을 갖는 영역을 얼굴영역으로 판단한다. 얼굴영역은 최외각화소를 포함하는 4각형으로 표시하고 각 정점의 이동을 칼만예측기를 이용하여 추정하고 추정된 위치에서 얼굴영역을 검출하는 방법을 사용한다. 제안하는 방법은 동영상에서 얼굴영역검출의 정확도를 높이고 얼굴영역의 추적에서 얼굴영역검출에 소요되는 시간을 상당부분 감소시키는 효과를 거두게 됨을 실험을 통해 입증하였다.

        요추관 협착증에 대한 정보와 치료 옵션을 제공하는 인터넷 웹사이트의 질적 분석

        Study Design: This study was performed to analyze the quality of the internet web sites providing informations and treatment options about lumbar stenosis. Objectives: The purpose of this study was to evaluate the internet web sites about lumbar stenosis. Summary of Literature Review: 98% of Korean people use internet for searching informations in 2020, and the population getting medical information on the internet is increasing. Nevertheless, there are few researches for assessing quality and accuracy of internet medical information about lumbar stenosis Materials and Methods: The key word, ‘‘lumbar stenosis’’. was searched on the three most popular search engines. The sites searched on each engine were selected in this study and classified by authorship. The web sites were rated according to the quality of information in terms of accuracy score (AS), content quality score (CQS) for each web site. In addition, the Treatment options were also evaluated in terms of treatment option score (TOS) in each groups of web sites classified by specialty. Results: 103 websites were included. In terms of accuracy score (AS) and content quality score (CQS), university hospital and private hospital websites scored significantly higher AS and CQS than those of the other groups (p=0.03). In terms of treatment option score (TOS), orthopedic surgery group scored significantly higher TOS than that of other-physician group (p=0.04). Conclusions: For patients, more efforts are needed for evaluating internet websites providing medical informations. Hospital group and orthopaedic surgeon group should play an important role.

        ITO/AZO 투명전극을 이용한 Si 기반의 광전소자

        In this study, functional transparent conducting layers were investigated for Si-based photoelectric applications. Double transparent conductive oxide (TCO) films were deposited on a Si substrate in the sequence of indium tin oxide (ITO) followed by aluminum-doped zinc oxide (AZO). First, we observed that the conductivity and transparency of AZO dominate the overall performance of the double TCO layers. Secondly, the double layered TCO film (consisting of AZO/ITO) deposited by sputtering was compared to a AZO-only film in terms of their optical and electrical properties. We prepared three different AZO films: ITO:3min/AZO:10min, ITO:5min/AZO:7min, and ITO:7min/AZO:4min. The results show that the optical properties (transmittance, absorbance, and reflection) can be controlled by the film composition. This may provide a significant pathway for the manipulation of the optical and electrical properties of photoelectric devices.
