생물다양성 회복을 위한 미디어아트 활용 융복합 생태교육 프로그램 연구

Modernization and climate crisis are causing more severe natural environmental damage. In response, education that aims to seek a holistic change in thinking and behaving is required for the coexistence of humans and nature and a sustainable ecological civilization. Accordingly, this study was initiated to propose a convergence education for youth that fosters future generations with creativity, convergence thinking, and problem-solving skills to respond to climate change and ecological crises. This study aims to create a convergence ecological education program centered on art, science, and technology to demonstrate new possibilities for media art convergence education on the ecological environment while also confirming the efficacy of education. The following are the study's findings and content: First, a game-development program was created using AI image generation and interactive fiction with the themes of "biodiversity,” “birds,” and "coexistence”. Second, pre- and post-surveys on "ecological literacy" and "biodiversity conservation awareness" among the middle school participants were conducted, and the results were quantitatively analyzed to confirm the program's efficacy. Third, new possibilities and implications of convergence ecological education programs using media art were comprehensively derived based on the verification of efficacy through the developed program and participant survey, as well as students' learning outcomes and class observations. Based on these results, the aim was to propose actively integrating science, technology, and art as a creative convergence curriculum that pursues holistic change for a sustainable ecological civilization. 기후 위기와 근대화 등으로 자연환경의 훼손이 심각해지는 가운데 이에 대응해 인간과 자연의 공존, 지속가능한 생태 문명을 위해 생각과 행동의 총체적 변화를추구하는 교육의 필요성이 제시되고 있다. 본 연구는 생태적 위기 상황에 대응할 수 있는 창의성, 문제해결력, 융합 사고력을 갖춘 미래 세대를 양성하는 교육을 제안하고자 시작되었다. 연구의 목적은 예술·과학기술 중심융복합 생태교육 프로그램을 개발하여, 생태 환경을 주제로 한 미디어아트 융합 교육의 새로운 가능성을 제시하는 것이다. 연구 결과 및 내용은 다음과 같다. 첫째, ‘생물다양성’과 ‘새’, ‘공존’을 주제로 인공지능 이미지 생성과 인터렉티브 픽션을 활용한 게임 창작 프로그램을 개발하였다. 둘째, 효과성 검증을 위해 참여한 중학생들을 대상으로 ‘생태 소양’과 ‘생물 다양성 보전 의식’에 대해 사전과사후에 설문을 진행하고, 결과를 양적으로 분석하였다. 셋째, 개발 프로그램과 참여자 설문을 통한 효과성 검증, 학습자의 학습 결과물과 수업 관찰을 토대로 미디어아트 활용 융복합 생태교육 프로그램의 새로운 가능성과 시사점을 종합적으로 도출하였다. 이러한 결과를 바탕으로 지속 가능한 생태 문명을 위한 생태학적 인식과 변화, 실천을 추구하는 창의 융합교육과정으로써 과학기술과 예술의 효과적인 활용 방안을 제시하고자 하였다.

Malignant melanoma is a very aggressive metastatic skin cancer with a high mortality rate. Thus, an accurate early diagnosis of metastatic melanoma is the best treatment for patients. The melanocortin-1 receptor (MC1R) is overexpressed in human melanoma cells but exhibits low expression in normal tissues. This characteristic makes it an attractive target for detection of malignant melanoma. Alpha-melanocyte stimulating hormone (α-MSH), one of the endogenous ligands of MC1R, binds to MC1R through its core sequence. However, it is challenging to utilize the native structure of α-MSH, so researchers have found that stabilizing it through cyclization can offer more favorable outcomes in both preclinical and clinical studies. This review introduces the development of radionuclide-labeled α-MSH derivatives that selectively bind to MC1R, a malignant melanoma-specific target. It also explains on the development of cyclized α-MSH derivatives and the results of biological evaluations related to renal uptake.
Effect of Consumption of Animal Products on the Gut Microbiome Composition and Gut Health

The gut microbiome is critical in human health, and various dietary factors influence its composition and function. Among these factors, animal products, such as meat, dairy, and eggs, represent crucial sources of essential nutrients for the gut microbiome. However, the correlation and characteristics of livestock consumption with the gut microbiome remain poorly understood. This review aimed to delineate the distinct effects of meat, dairy, and egg products on gut microbiome composition and function. Based on the previous reports, the impact of red meat, white meat, and processed meat consumption on the gut microbiome differs from that of milk, yogurt, cheese, or egg products. In particular, we have focused on animal-originated proteins, a significant nutrient in each livestock product, and revealed that the major proteins in each food elicit diverse effects on the gut microbiome. Collectively, this review highlights the need for further insights into the interactions and mechanisms underlying the impact of animal products on the gut microbiome. A deeper understanding of these interactions would be beneficial in elucidating the development of dietary interventions to prevent and treat diseases linked to the gut microbiome.
전자빔 조사에 의해 합성된 Fe-N/C 촉매의 산 세척 효과

Fe-N/C electrocatalysts was synthesized using electron beam (e-beam) irradiation to improve the oxygen reduction reaction activity in the polymer electrolyte membrane fuel cells. After synthesizing, the characteristics of catalyst before and after acid washing treatment were measured in the rotating disk electrode (RDE). It was confirmed that the catalyst was successfully synthesized measured using TEM, XRD, and Mössbauer spectroscopy. However, the formation of some impurities, such as oxides, were also confirmed. The electrochemical properties during oxygen reduction reaction (ORR) was enhanced after the acidic washing treatment of the catalyst.
유회수기 구조와 외부 진동에 따른 기름 박리 과정의 제거 성능에 대한 수치 연구

With growing interests in the marine environment, endeavors aimed at reducing impact from pollutants are being increased. Fuel with lower sulfur acid becomes popular since it can reduce pollutants with relatively low cost. However, this Low Sulfur Fuel Oil exhibits large viscosity at lower temperature as it tends to adhere strongly to oil recovery devices impeding the effectiveness of continuous oil removal. Recently, it has been proposed that hydrophilic surface treatment can increase the peeling performance of oil from surface. Our previous work was focused on identifying peeling mechanism acting on vertically dipping plate through numerical investigation. In this study, we are aiming to get insights for increased peeling performance from rachet structure since it can minimize contact between oil and the solid structure. At the same time, we also want to find out environmental effect from wave induced vibration in oceanic environment. The effect from wave amplitude, frequency, and direction will be studied in detail for both flat and ratchet geometries. It has been found that hydrophilic ratchet geometry is very effective for oil removal and the removal performance is enhanced by wave induced vibration contrary to the flat surface.
남성중심 역사서술의 대항담론으로서 문학적 증언: 동시대 여성가족사소설 『시선으로부터,』와 『밝은 밤』을 중심으로

This article focuses on two contemporary women’s family history novels, From Si Sun and A Bright Night, to explore social and cultural aspects of modern Korean history reflected in those works. Both novels shared the structure of repeated violence, describe the friendship of women against violence and barbarism, and also present their prospects for the future. The authors, Jung Se-rang and Choi Eun-young, display a sense of authorial responsibility in the restoration of the stories of women who have been excluded from historical narratives and also demonstrate the construction of deep trust and solidarity among women, encompassing the states of healing, redemption, and growth. The novels therefore show feminist values embedded in the multiple layers of the narratives. Meanwhile, the two novels are distinct in terms of male characterization and perspective, which creates a very different atmosphere in each text. Despite the difference in narrative strategies, both texts contain the elements of realism that embodies historical reality and suggest the progress of women’s history. These novels therefore function as an interpretational tool for the people who share the same critical mind against the social culture of the real world and respond to reality with different strategies to move toward ideals.
