Primary myxoid liposarcoma of the heart is very rare. Following is a report on a 35 year old male presented with a huge, 8×8 cm sized mass along the inferior wall of right ventricle. The histologic diagnosis of the mass was primary myxoid liposarcoma of the pericardium. The patient died 5 months after diagnosis due to progressive dyspnea.

While on the surface, their shared experience of family loss may seem unique, it echoes the universal sentiment of grief – a sentiment all too familiar to every individual. This analysis unpacks the three protagonists’ sequential emotional healing, illustrating the universality of the recovery process. The present study aims to categorize common word choice errors in Korean EFL writing and help teachers understand students’ word choice patterns. This study reassures that both L1 and its background cultures affect language learners’ choice of vocabulary in English learning. Korean first-year undergraduate students with low levels of English proficiency participated in this study. The students were required to carry out a writing log, a collection of nine pieces of weekly assignments of paragraph writing during the semester. They were allowed to use any type of automatic translation such as Google Translate or Papago for revision and editing. The errors that the students produced were classified into three categories, and significant findings were obtained regarding lexical errors caused by literal translation, cultural differences, and L1 word order. The findings are interpreted in terms of cultural and linguistic differences between the first and target languages. They can give ideas for teachers to instruct EFL writing strategies on students’ word choice errors.

Sinus of Valsalva aneurysm is postulated to arise from a developmental weakness in the distal bulbar septum by Abbott in 1919. Additionally, properly shaped sinuses will allow stress sharing with the leaflets. The sinus of Valsalva aneurysm is combined with valvular aneurysm is very rare. This anomaly is a very rare and can be confirmed by echocardiography, angiography and operative finding. Clinically, patients complain with the symptom, but surgical approach including aneurysmectomy with patch repain for the tissue defect is recommend to abolish fatal outcome due to intracardiac or extracardiac rupture of aneurysm and fatal deterioration of valvular heart disease. A 48-year-old man presented mild dyspnea and was diagnosed of having a noncoronary cusp and sinus of Valsalva aneurysm by echocardiography. He underwent prosthetic aortic valve replacement and vessel repair with patch of pericardial membrane.

The present study overviews Canadian science fiction for children and young adults in its early history. Canada’s multiculturalism is a great resource for diversity on their literary works, but at the same time, it often turns into concerns on their national identity. Canadian novels portray this unique trait in their stories with three major features. By contrasting the technology-dominated society with the nature-friendly one, they ultimately aim for an idyllic society. Also, the works express distrust of technology and progress with concerns about negative effects on the global environment. Finally, they lie on the blurred border between fantasy adventure and science fiction. Unlike mainstream science fiction novels, Canadian children’s SF writers take the subjects of science, nature, and humans more seriously. Depicting a variety of possible future societies, they continue to emphasize both the harmony of technology and the nature and the exploration of human identity. This originality distinguishes them from other countries’ works and are sufficiently attractive to many young readers.
다변량 통계와 심층신경망 분석을 이용한 폐금속 회수효율성 향상 연구

In this study, we collected spectral data using laser induced breakdown spectrometry. Our results were processed by a principle component analysis (PCA) and a deep neural network to improve the separation efficiency of metals from RAM samples of a printed circuit board (PCB). The spectra were collected from 294 spots on the sample surface and subsequently divided into three groups, i.e., Black (K), Yellow (Y), and Green (G) by visual inspection of the surface color. We identified the specific wavelengths that were usable as separation criteria as well as the main elemental composition of each part by comparing the PCA and scanning electron microscopy-electron dispersive spectroscopy ()results. We also confirmed the possibility of automatic separation with a deep neural network whose separation accuracy was more than 98%. Our results can be used to create a new automatic separation process for waste electronic electrical equipment. 본 연구는 인쇄회로기판(PCB)의 RAM시료를 대상으로 선별을 통한 주요 금속의 회수율을 제고하기 위해레이저 유도붕괴 분광기(LIBS)로 스펙트럼 데이터를 얻어 주성분분석(PCA)과 심층신경망 기법을 적용했다. 레이저를 RAM 시료 표면294 지점에 조사해 스펙트럼을 얻고 기판을 검정(K), 노랑(Y), 초록(G)로 구분해 데이터가 구분이되는지 살펴보았다. PCA 분석과 SEM-EDS 분석결과의 비교를 통해 각 부분의 선별 가능성과 기준이 될 수 있는 파장, 포함된 주요 금속 조성비를 확인하였다. 추후 공정 자동화를 위해 심층신경망을 통한 각 부분 자동 분류 가능성을 타진하였고 98% 이상의 분류 정확도를 보았다. 따라서 본 연구를 통해 폐전기전자제품(WEEE)을 폐금속 회수 공정에 투입하기 전에 이를 선별할 수 있는 새로운 방법론을 만드는 데 활용할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.
