Lifetime financial planning has become extremely important due to increase in life expectancy and decrease inretirement age. In comparison to short-term investment management, lifetime financial planning must considerlife circumstances such as current age, retirement age, and lifestyle. One methodology for representing anindividual’s life stage is through human capital. This paper discusses human capital formulations and demonstratescalculations for various industries in Korea. Furthermore, the paper includes analysis on the effect ofhuman capital in lifetime financial planning as oppose to only focusing on financial capital when performingportfolio optimization.

The authors have studied hydraulic design of reactor coolant pump used for small modular reactor. Computational fluid dynamics was used to evaluate the impeller design. Seven factors for the 3D shape variables of the Impeller were selected as a design variables. As a result of using the response surface method for optimizing the shape of the impeller, we were able to select four major design factors for efficiency. The four factors were the impeller blade lengths, outlet blade angle component, and rake component. Finally, we obtained an efficient impeller design through the optimization of these four factors. The head increasing was 0.4m and the efficiency was improved by 0.5% compared to the original model.

Development of an automatic TIG welding system incorporating a vision sensor and torch control mechanism leads to an improved welding quality and greater production efficiency. The automatic welding system should be greatly restricted in its size and weight for the LNG(Liquefied Natural Gas) storage tank and also provide a unique torch rotating mechanism which keeps the torch tip in the constant position while the angle is changed continuously to maintain the welding torch substantially perpendicular to the weld line. The developed system is driven by two translation axes X, Z and one rotational axis. A moving line window method is adopted to the image recognition of the corrugated membranes with specular reflection. This method decides original laser stripe patterns in image which is affected by multi-reflection. A self-teaching algorithm, which guides the automatic welding machine with the information provided by the CCD camera without any previous learning of a reference trajectory, was developed for tracking the corrugated membrane of the LNG tank along the weld line.

The reed switch position transmitter (RSPT) is used as a position indicator for the control rod in commercial nuclear power plants made by ABB-CE. But this position indicator has some problems when directly adopting it to the integral reactor. The Control Element Drive Mechanism (CEDM) for the integral reactor is designed to raise and lower the control rod in steps of 2㎜ in order to satisfy the design features of the integral reactor which are the soluble boron free operation and the use of a nuclear heating for the reactor start-up. Therefore the resolution of the position indicator for the integral reactor should be achieved to sense the position of the control rod more precisely than that of the RSPT of the ABB-CE. This paper adopts seismic resistance reed switches to the position indicator in order to reduce the damages or impacts during the handling of the position indicator and earthquake.

터보팬엔진에 원활한 연료공급을 위한 원심펌프 적용 설계에 관한 것이다. 목표 토출 압력, 토크와 효율에 도달하는 방법으로 임펠러, 인듀서 및 원심펌프 형상 설계가 있으며 본 연구는 원심펌프 주요 설계인자인 볼류트 형상을 면적확장형 타입 설계 방법을 적용하였다. 3차원 비압축성 Navier-Stroke 방정식과 난류 모델 K-ε모델을 적용한 상용 유동해석프로그램(Pumplinx)의 결과 값을 통해 형상 최적화를 적용하였다. 실제 볼류트 형상을 제작 및 조립하여 유동해석과 동일한 조건으로 시험하고 토출압력, 토크 효율을 비교 분석하여 해석의 신뢰성을 확인하였다. In this study, a centrifugal pump is used to pressurize and discharge the fuel for smooth fuel supply to the Turbofan engine. In order for the centrifugal pump to reach the target discharge pressure, torque and efficiency, a volute shape was selected among the centrifugal pump design factors. The design method was designed in an extended manner in which the diameter gradually increases as you go out to the exit. The constructed features were optimized with the resulting values using the three-dimensional incompressible Navier-Stroke equation and turbulent model K-ε model in commercial flow analysis (pumplinx). In addition, the reliability of the analysis was confirmed by comparing and analyzing the discharge pressure, torque and efficiency between the actual test device and the flow analysis for each condition by manufacturing and assembling the actual volute shape.

The Control Element Drive Mechanism (CEDM) for the integral reactor is designed to raise and lower the control rod in steps of 2㎜ in order to satisfy the design features of the integral reactor which are the soluble boron free operation and the use of a nuclear heating for the reactor start-up. The actual position of the control rod could be achieved to sense the magnet connected to the control rod by the position indicator around the upper pressure housing of CEDM. It is sufficient that the actual position information of control rod at 20㎜ interval from the position indicator is used for the core safety analysis. As the magnet moves upward along the position indicator assembly from the bottom to the top in the upper pressure housing, the output voltage increases linearly step-wise at 0.2VDC increments. Between every step there are transient areas which occur by a contact closing of three reed switches which is the 2-3-2 contact closing sequence. In this paper the output voltage signal corresponding to the position of control rod was estimated on the 2-1-2 contact closing sequence due to the aging of the magnet.
