Background: The purpose of the study was to investigate the level of infection control and prevention awareness among dental practitioners in Korea based on the infection control and prevention guidelines of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) in the United States. Methods: A survey was created on ‘Standard and Education on CDC Infection Control Standards’, ‘Matters related to CDC Infection Control Prevention’, and ‘Characteristics of Research Subjects and Infection Control Characteristics’ based on the CDC Dental Infection Control List.’ A total of 222 surveys were conducted and used for frequency and cross-tabulation analyses. Results: Most research participants worked at university or general hospitals, and 93.7% had received infection prevention education within the past year. The average awareness of the CDC dental infection control standards and education was 77.2 %, which was higher than previous research results. Preventive awareness was 71.5% on average, and there was a statistically significant difference in preventive awareness between the certified and noncertified evaluation groups (p<0.001). Conclusion: The participants of this study showed a higher awareness of infection control standards, education, and prevention than those in previous studies. However, this was insufficient compared with the CDC dental infection control standard prevention guidelines. Therefore, government agencies and related organizations must establish systematic infection control systems.
학교수학과 대학수학 교과서에 나타난 최대·최소와극대·극소의 분석

Maximum and minimum have a historical background in mathematics and occupy an important part of the differential unit in school mathematics. As the curriculum is revised, there are changes and problems in the way definition introduced. Therefore, this study analyzes the changes in the method of introducing maximum and minimum definitions following the reorganization of the 2007 and 2009 revised mathematics curriculum, and analyzes the differences in maximum and minimum definition methods compared to the nine mathematicsII textbooks in the 2015 revised mathematics curriculum and three real analysis. In addition, methods to improve the terms used in relation to the maximum and minimum values are presented.

This study was to develop a school dropout academic re-entry group counseling program and verify the effect of the program. The program was developed based on the research data that the majority of school dropouts' number one priority is school re-entry. For the purpose of this study, previous research on the characteristics of school dropout youth and domestic and foreign school dropout intervention programs were analyzed. The program development was performed as follows. First, to collect the basic information on program development, a claim inquiry was made to experienced school dropout counselors. Then cyber case study on school dropout youths were analyzed and in-depth interview and focus group interview were conducted of youths who successfully returned to formal education or pass the GED exam. To generate the constituting principle and components of the program, the results of the interview were anlayzed. Based on the results, 12 session program was developed. The program was consisted of the exploration of the past(why they dropout and what happens when they do), exploration of present life and the life challenges, the development of future perspective and motivation for school re-entry, and education on life management strategy which helps youths' school returning. This program was designed to develop youths' coping skill and other resources that support youths' school re-entry adjustment process. 9 youth counseling centers were enlisted to participate, and 108 youths participated in the program. The participants were divided into two groups, such as experimental group and control group (waiting group), and then were tested to verify the effectiveness of the program. The control group was also exposed to the program with time interval. Based on the pretests and follow-up tests, it was revealed that the program fostered school dropouts' external academic motivation, supportive environment, goal, and social self-efficacy. In a reality that youths return to school without any preparation and consequently drop out of school again, both usability in the field and the effectiveness of the program were discussed. The limitation of this study was also discussed. 본 연구는 우리나라 학업중단청소년들이 가장 희망하는 것은 학업복귀라는 조사결과에 따라 이들의 학업복귀를 강화하기 위한 집단상담프로그램을 개발하고 그 효과를 검증하기 위한 것이었다. 이를 위하여 학업중단 청소년의 특성과 관련된 선행연구, 기존 학업중단개입에 관한 국내외프로그램을 검토하고 분석하였다. 프로그램의 구성요소를 확인하기 위해서 학업중단상담 경험이 풍부한 상담실무자 요구조사, 학업중단청소년의 사이버사례분석, 복교 및 검정고시를 성공한 학업중단청소년 심층면접과 포커스그룹인터뷰를 실시하고 그 결과를 토대로 프로그램의 구성원리와 요소를 추출하여 12회기의 프로그램을 개발하였다. 프로그램은 과거(학업중단 상황과 원인) 탐색, 현재 생활과 어려움 탐색, 미래조망과 학업복귀동기발달, 학업복귀를 돕기 위한 관리 전략 학습 등이 다루어졌으며 궁극적으로 학업복귀와 자신의 미래에 대한 조망을 가지고 학업복귀 후 예상되는 어려움들에 효과적으로 대처하는 능력과 자원을 개발하는 데에 목표를 두었다. 전국 공모를 통해 선정된 9개의 청소년상담센터에서 참가에 동의한 총 108명을 대상으로 실험집단과 통제집단(대기자집단)을 구성하여 효과성을 검증하였으며 이후에 대기자집단은 같은 프로그램을 실시하였다. 사전-사후 통제집단 비교에서 본 프로그램은 학업중단청소년들의 외재적 학업동기, 지지환경, 목표, 사회적 자아효능감을 증진시키는데 효과가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 학업중단청소년들이 아무런 준비없이 학업에 복귀하고 재탈락을 반복하는 현실에서 학업중단청소년들의 학업복귀강화를 위한 프로그램개발의 의의와 효과가 논의되었으며 연구의 제한점이 기술되었다.
Water Irrigation Device의 이해와 활용

There are many researches after 1960 which show water irrigation device can be used safely to intra oral tissues, remove dental plaque effectively, and reduce gingival bleeding and gingivitis. Water irrigation device can be used for every general dental patient, but also much more effective device for the patients with gingivitis, dental implant, dental crown, bridge, fixed orthodontic appliances, and mostly for those who feel difficulties in using dental floss or interdental brushes. It is necessary for the oral hygienic professionals to recommend and educate about this device to help those patients. There are still few researches about the safety and effectiveness of water irrigation device to the dental implant, we hope to get more research data soon.
