이온빔 보조 증착법을 이용하여 제작한 $SnO_2$박막을 기저 물질로한 가연성 센서에 catalyst로 ultra-thin Pd layer를 이온빔 스퍼터링으로 흡착시켰다. 가연성 기체의 센싱 메카니즘에서 Pd 촉매의 역할을 정확하게 조사하기 위해서 진공 및 공기 상에서 annealing 함으로서 Pd 촉매의 초기 산화 상태를 조절하였다. 촉매가 순수한 금속 Pd 클러스터 상태로 존재하는 $SnO_2$센서의 경우에는 PdO 클러스터가 있는 것에 비해 높은 감응성을 보였다. 이것은 PdO 클러스터가 표면 acceptor로 작용을 하는 것으로 생각되며 $SnO_2$로 부터 Pd sub-channel을 통해 전자를 받아 센서의 감도를 낮추고 응답시간을 늦추는 것으로 생각된다. A flammable gas sensor based on the $SnO_2$thin film deposited by the reactive ion assisted deposition was fabricated and ultra-thin Pd layer as catalyst was adsorbed at surface by ion beam sputtering. The initial oxidation states of Pd catalyst were controlled to investigate the role of Pd in the sensing process of inflammale gas sensor through annealing in air and vacuum respectively. The Pd catalyst existing in pure metallic state showed the sensitivity higher than that of PdO. The result might be closely related to the fact that PdO as a surface acceptor would receive electrons via Pd sub-channel from $SnO_2$, and thus which reduces the sensitivity and delay the response time.

In this study, the circular friction massage technique was performed on the trapezius, the levator scapulae, and the deltoid muscles to collect the information on massage pressures and positions, and thus to utilize it in professional massage system design. Massage motion was measured with the 3-D motion capture system and finger pressures were simultaneously obtained with grip sensors. Massage motions, pressure patterns, and pressure times were different on each muscle, and the motion trajectory was similar to the ellipsoidal shape. The trapezius had higher pressure, longer massage time, and larger impulse than other muscles. These results could be useful to design a massage system based on biomechanical analysis. In order to improve massage effect, it is also strongly recommended that the tip of the system be similar with that of a human thumb in shape and material.

Cefuzonam(Cefnam) is a new parenteral third generation cephalosporin with strong bactericidal activity against gram-negative and gram-positive organisms and is stable against various B-lactamases. To evaluate the clinical efficacy of cefuzonam nosocomial infection, we performed a porspective open trial of cefuzonam in 20 patients with various bacterial infection;9 with pneumonia,5 with urinary tract infection, 4 with bacteremia, 1 with cholangitis and I with acute osteomyelitis. The etiologic organisms isolated in enrolied patients were S. aureus(4), MRSA(7), S.epidermidis(1), E.coli(2), K.pneumoniae(2), S.marcescens(3) and E.cloacae(1). Most patients received 1.0g of cefuzonam every 12 hours for at least 5 days. Nineteen patients were cared or improved after cefuzonam treatment and clinical efficacy rate was 95%. microbiologic eradication was achieved in 17 patients(85%). Overall response rate to cefuzonam was 95%. We also performed in vitro susceptibility test of cefuzonam and other antibiotics against 04 strains of gram-positive and gram-negative organisms. Cefuzonam was effective against MSSA, S.epidermidis and all tested gram negative organisms, but not effective against MRSA according to the in vitro data. Cefuzonam is a safe and effective agent for the treatment of nosocomial infection and has a unique activity against gram-positive organism besides gram-negative and anaerobic organisms.
Air Sampler를 이용한 병원내 공기중 미생물오염도의 측정 : 병원소독 전ㆍ후의 비교

Airborne spread of nosocomial bacterial, fungal or viral infections is known to occur, but its exact incidence is unclear. Although air sampling is not recommended as routine procedure, special situation such as contamination of hospital building by flood can make air sampling useful surveillance method. In September 1990, flood made our hospital immersed into water. The authors performed air sampling before and after disinfection of the hospital to observe the degree and microbiologic pattern of air contamination. Disinfection procedure was performed by using the solution of chlorine and phenol mixture. Before disinfection, air culture revealed 1201 CFU/㎥ in total microbial count which changed to 862 CFU/㎥ after disinfection. Only the degree of fungal contamination showed significant decrease after disinfection. Microbiologic identification showed that Gram positive cocci is the major contaminant. But the basement area which was completely immersed into water contained mostly Gram positive rod before disinfection. Air sampling may not be a useful method in evaluating the efficacy of disinfection.

We assessed the clinical efficiency and safety of KW-1062, which was new aminoglycoside. Among 30 patients, 14 had respiratory tract infection, 8 urinary tract infection, and 8 alimentary tract infection, they were all treated with KW-1062 only or with other antibiotics. Total clinical efficiency was 86.7%, as for respiratory tract infection 78.6%, urinary tract infection 87.5%, and alimentary tract infection 100% separately. I patient had mild tinnitus and no patient had nephrotoxicity. Duration of Administration was average 9.4 day. We suggested that KW-1062 was effective and safe aminoglycoside for initial empirical therapy.
