It is important to develop a digital SOC (Social Overhead Capital) maintenance system for preemptive maintenance in response to the rapid aging of social infrastructures. Abnormal signals induced from structures can be detected quickly and optimal decisions can be made promptly using IoT sensors deployed on the structures. In this study, a digital SOC monitoring system incorporating a multimetric IoT sensor was developed for long-term monitoring, for use in cloud-computing server for automated and powerful data analysis, and for establishing databases to perform : (1) multimetric sensing, (2) long-term operation, and (3) LTE-based direct communication. The developed sensor had three axes of acceleration, and five axes of strain sensing channels for multimetric sensing, and had an event-driven power management system that activated the sensors only when vibration exceeded a predetermined limit, or the timer was triggered. The power management system could reduce power consumption, and an additional solar panel charging could enable long-term operation. Data from the sensors were transmitted to the server in real-time via low-power LTE-CAT M1 communication, which does not require an additional gateway device. Furthermore, the cloud server was developed to receive multi-variable data from the sensor, and perform a displacement fusion algorithm to obtain reference-free structural displacement for ambient structural assessment. The proposed digital SOC system was experimentally validated on a steel railroad and concrete girder bridge.

Sj$\ddot{o}$gren's syndrome (SS) is an immunologic disorder characterized by progressive destruction of the exocrine glands due to infiltration of lymphocyte resulting in mucosal and conjunctival dryness accompanied by a variety of autoimmune phenomena. And SS is divided into primary and secondary by accompanying collagen vascular diseases. In Korea, only a few cases of primary SS and primary SS with interstitial pneumonitis have been documented. Recently we experinced a suspected case of primary SS with interstitial pneumonitis diagnosed by sublabial and open lung biopsy, Schirmer's test and slit lamp test.
Apoptotic Effect of Co-Treatment with Valproic Acid and 17AAG on Human Osteosarcoma Cells

Valproic acid (VPA) is a well-known anticonvulsive agent and has been used in the treatment of epilepsy for almost 30 years. VPA emerged in 1997 as an antineoplastic agent. And it is known that antitmor activity of VPA is associated with its targeted at histone deacetylases. 17AAG, Inhibition of HSP90 leads to the proteasome degradation of the HSP90 client proteins, such as Akt, Raf/Ras, Erk, VEGF, cyclin D and p53, and causes potent antitumor activity. It is reported that 17AAG-induced HSP90 inhibition results in prevention of cell proliferation and induction of apoptosis in several types of cancer. This study was undertaken to investigate the synergistic apoptotic effect of co-treatment with the histone deacetylases inhibitor, VPA and the HSP90 inhibitor, 17AAG on human osteosarcoma (HOS) cells. Cell viability was evaluated by trypan-blue exclusion. Induction and augmentation of apoptosis were confirmed by Hoechst staining, flow cytometry (DNA hypoploidy and MMP change), Westen blot analysis and immunofluorescent staining. In this study, HOS cells co-treated with VPA and 17AAG showed several lines of apoptotic manifestation such as nuclear condensations, the reduction of MMP, the decrease of DNA content, the release of cytochrome c into cytosol, the translocation of AIF onto nuclei, and activation of caspase-3, caspase-7 and PARP whereas each single treated HOS cells did not. Although the single treatment of 1 mM VPA or 0.5 ${\mu}M$ 17AAG for 48 h did not induce apoptosis, the co-treatment with them induced prominently apoptosis. Therefore our data in this study provide the possibility that combination therapy with VPA and 17AAG could be considered as a novel therapeutic strategy for human osteosarcoma.

Based on the differential electrode equilibria approach, potentiometric YSZ sensors with semiconducting oxide electrodes for CO detection are developed. To improve the selectivity, sensitivity and response-time of the sensor, our strategy includes (a) selection of an oxide with a semiconducting response to CO, (b) addition of other semiconducting materials, (c) addition of a catalyst (Pd), (d) utilization of combined p- and n-type electrodes in one sensor configuration, and (e) optimization of operating temperatures. Excellent sensing performance is obtained by a novel device structure incorporating $La_2CuO_4$ electrodes on one side and $TiO_2$-based electrodes on opposite substrate faces with Pt contacts. The resulting response produces additive effects for the individual $La_2CuO_4$ and $TiO_2$-based electrodes voltages, thereby realizing an even higher CO sensitivity. The device also is highly selective to CO versus NO with minor sensitivity for NO concentration, compared to a notably large CO sensitivity.

It is known that tip clearance flows reduce the pressure rise, flow range and efficiency of the turbomachinery. So, the clear understanding about flow fields in the tip region is needed to efficiently design the turbomachinery. The Navier-Stokes code with the proper treatment of the boundary conditions has been developed to analyze the three-dimensional steady viscous flow fields in the transonic rotating blades and a numerical study has been conducted to investigate the detail flow physics in the tip region of transonic rotor, NASA Rotor 67. The computational results in the tip region of transonic rotors show the leakage vortices, leakage flow from pressure side to suction side and their interaction with a shock. Depen ding on the operating conditions, toad distributions and the position of shock-wave on the blade surface are very different close to the blade tip of the transonic compressor rotor. The load distribution and the shock-wave position close to the blade tip had the close relationship with the starting position of leakage vortex and the direction of leakage flow.
다중 클락 주기의 지연체인을 이용한 정밀한 지연발생 회로

본 논문은 정밀한 클락 지연을 발생하는 회로 기법을 제안하였다. 이 기법은 지연 체인을 다중 클락 주기에 록킹(Locking)시켜서 개별 지연단(Delay Stage)의 지연보다 작은 지연 해상도를 갖도록 하는 것이다. 이 기법으로 단위 셀이 750ps의 지연시간을 갖는 지연체인에서 DLL(Delay Locked Loop)을 이용하여 250ps의 지연간격을 갖는 지연 발생회로를 설계하였다. 제안한 회로는 지연체인이 클락 신호 주기의 3배에 록킹이 되도록 하였으며, 1.5um CMOS공정의 모의 실험을 통해 단위지연셀 지연시간의 1/3인 250ps의 지연간격을 발생함을 확인하였다.

In this paper, we proposed and developed a new portable skin elasticity measuring device based on the indentation method using piezoelectric effect. The proposed device is designed to minimize the uncertainty caused by the layer structure of the skin when measuring the elasticity of the skin. And, we developed a piezoelectric-based thin-film pressure sensor that can measure quantitatively and quickly during repeated measurement as a device sensor. To confirm the effectiveness of the proposed measuring device, it was compared with the experimental results of the conventional measuring devices under the same experimental conditions, and statistical correlation analysis was performed between the experimental data of the proposed measuring device and the experimental data of the conventional measuring devices. As a result of the correlation analysis, it was confirmed that the proposed measuring device had a high correlation with the conventional measuring devices. Therefore, it was confirmed that the proposed skin elasticity measuring device was effective.
타우 PET영상을 위한 <sup>18</sup>F-THK5351의 표지방법 개발

Purpose $^{18}F-THK5351$ is the newly developed PET probe for tau imaging in alzheimer's disease. The purpose of study was to establish the automated production of $^{18}F-THK5351$ on a commercial module. Materials and Methods Two different approaches were evaluated for the synthesis of $^{18}F-THK5351$. The first approach (method I) included the nucleophilic $^{18}F$-fluorination of the tosylate precursor, subsequently followed by pre-HPLC purification of crude reaction mixture with SPE cartridge. In the second approach (method II), the crude reaction mixture was directly introduced to a semi-preparative HPLC without SPE purification. The radiosynthesis of $^{18}F-THK5351$ was performed on a commercial GE $TRACERlab^{TM}$ $FX-_{FN}$ module. Quality control of $^{18}F-THK5351$ was carried out to meet the criteria guidelined in USP for PET radiopharmaceuticals. Results The overall radiochemical yield of method I was $23.8{\pm}1.9%$ (n=4) as the decay-corrected yield (end of synthesis, EOS) and the total synthesis time was $75{\pm}3min$. The radiochemical yield of method II was $31.9{\pm}6.7%$ (decay-corrected, n=10) and the total preparation time was $70{\pm}2min$. The radiochemical purity was>98%. Conclusion This study shows that method II provides higher radiochemical yield and shorter production time compared to the pre-SPE purification described in method I. The $^{18}F-THK5351$ synthesis by method II will be ideal for routine clinical application, considering short physical half-life of fluorine-18 ($t_{1/2}=110min$).
