Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate Korean preschoolers' obesity-related factors through an ecological approach and to identify Korean preschoolers' obesity-related factors and the different effects of ecological variables on body mass index and its quantiles through an ecological approach. Methods: The study design was cross-sectional. Through convenience sampling, 241 cases were collected from three kindergartens and seven nurseries in the Seoul metropolitan area and Kyunggi Province in April 2013 using self-administered questionnaires from preschoolers' mothers and homeroom teachers. Results: Results of ordinary least square regression analysis show that mother's sedentary behavior (p < .001), sedentary behavior parenting (p = .039), healthy eating parenting (p = .027), physical activity related social capital (p = .029) were significant factors of preschoolers' body mass index. While in the 5% body mass index distribution group, gender (p = .031), preference for physical activity (p = .015), mother's sedentary behavior parenting (p = .032), healthy eating parenting (p = .005), and teacher's sedentary behavior (p = .037) showed significant influences. In the 25% group, the effects of gender and preference for physical activity were no longer significant. In the 75% and 95% group, only mother's sedentary behavior showed a statistically significant influence (p < .001, p = .012 respectively). Conclusion: Efforts to lower the obesity rate of preschoolers should focus on their environment, especially on the sedentary behavior of mothers, as mothers are the main nurturers of this age group.

Purpose: This study was performed to identify factors associated with drinking behavior using Transtheoretical Model in workers. Method: The study method was a survey of 216 marine shipping metal workers in Koje city from November 11, 2002 to November 30, 2002. Result: The subjects were divided in four stages of drinking behavior: 38.9% in pre-contemplation stage, 38.6% in contemplation stage, 17.6% in preparation stage and 7.9% in action & maintenance stage. The amount of drinking was significantly decreased as the workers progressed through each stage. Helping relationships(HR) and Self reevaluation(SR)were identified as the main processes of change in all stages. Self liberation(SEL), Counter conditioning(CC), Helping relationships(HR), Self reevaluation(SR), Dramatic relief (DR) and Social liberation(SL) were used higher than average. The self-efficacy score increased as the workers progressed through each stage, but not significantly. The Pros score of decisional balance was the highest in the pre contemplation stage and decreased as the workers progressed through each stage, but not significantly. The Cons score of decisional balance was the highest in the preparation stage, but not significantly in as the workers progressed through each stage. Conclusion: This study can provide the basis of a staged matching alcohol-reducing program using TTM for more effective and useful intervention.

John Millingto Synge 硏究(Ⅲ) : The Shadow of the Glen

The Shadow of Glen by J.M. Synge is the play which is concerned with the jealous husband who feigns death to test the fidelity of his spous. It is based upon a motif familiar to students of folklore. Synge heard it from the McDonough cottage on Inishmaan, the biggest is land of Aran islands. On October 8th, 1903, the play had a chance to be heard at the Abbey Theate. After it is showed the reviewer of The Irish Times said that "a mean and odious old man 'letting on to be dead' in bed while his pretty young wife provides refreshments for stray tramps, and is asked to arrange an immediate marriage with a young suitor whom she absconds when her husband comes to life, seems to us an extraordinary choice of subject for a society that claims to have a higher and purer standard than ordinarily accepted in things dramatic. Mr. Synge has distinct power, both in irony and in dialogue, but surely he could display them better in showing in some other way-the way that should above all cast no slur on Irish womanhood-the wrong of mercenary marriage." Arthur Griffith criticized severely that as for Synge's In a Wicklow Glen(sic)"it is a strange of a corrupt version of that old-world libel on womankind-the 'Widow of Ephesus,' which was made current in Ireland by the hedge-school master,..His Wicklow tramp who addresses an Irish peasant-woman as 'Lady of the house', and his Wicklow farmer's wife who addresses the man who has craved his hospitality as 'Stanger', never existed in the flesh in Wicklow nor in any other of the thirtytwo counties'. But The Daily Express called The shadow of the Glen "most agreeable fooling," with a "convincing ring of truth" in its characterization. And J.B. Yeats, W.B.Yeats' father, praised the play written by the new dramatist and described it as an attack on "our Irish institution, the loveless marriage." Also he attributed to synge "the true Irish heart-he lives in Aran, speaks Irish and knows the people. He is, besides, an man of insight and sincerity, that is to say, a man of genius. Such men are the salt of lreland." W.B.Yeats reviewed "there is no parallel in any story that I knew of. The sitting down together of the husband and the lover is certainly the perfection of ironic and humour." I here reviewed in general above discussions by critics. Especially Yeats' defence of Synge and A. Griffith's attack are the central issues of my thesis. Is The shadow of the Glen a creative work or a plagiarism? Is it lrish or foreign? Is Synge's purpose in writing this play due to describe the peasants' poor lives which are in bonds with Irish social sterile surroundings or to slur modern peasantwomanhood of Ireland? I tried to answer these questions with might and main. Making principal reference to J.M.Synge 1871-1909 by David H. Greene and Edward M. Stephens, I give much spach expressed my opinions in part Ⅲ. I come to the conclusion that this play is a social problem play and a corrective play to correct Irish wrong institution, the loveless marriage. Its form is called the bleak comedy or the tragic comedy, and its style is based on Realism in the history of world literature.

세계전도 및 대한민국 주변도의 스페인어 매트릭스 작성 과정 및 특성

본고에서는 2011년 국토지리정보원 발간 세계전도 및 대한민국 주변도의 표준매트릭스를 기초로 다국어 매트릭스의 스페인어 매트릭스를 작성한 과정을 다루었다. 매트릭스의 작업 과정은 기존 스페인어 지명 표기의 수집 과정과 공인된 스페인어식 표기법이 없는 한국, 중국, 일본 등의 지명을 스페인어로 표기하는 과정으로 구성되었다. 스페인의 식민지 지배의 역사적 경험으로 인해 스페인어는 16세기 초 이후 외국 지명의 스페인어식 표기가 지속적으로 이루어졌다. 스페인어 사용자들에게 익숙한 발음으로 전환하고 언중들이 지명의 의미를 알기 쉽게 스페인어로 의미를 표기하는 것이 특징이었으며, 외국 지명의 상당 부분이 ‘스페인어화’된 경향이 있었다. 이에 비해 우리나라의 외국 지명 표기는 의미의 전달보다는 한국어의 발음을 중요시하는 경향이 있었다. 스페인어 매트릭스 작성 과정에서는 스페인어 지도집을 기준으로 삼았고, UNGEGN의 자료 및 각국의 지도관련 사이트 등을 이용하여 공인된 지명을 최대한 반영하였다. 스페인어 표기가 없는 상세한 지명은 국립국어원의 로마자어 표기법 및 스페인어 표기세칙을 따라 스페인어로 변환하였다. This paper dealt with the Spanish matrix making process of multilingual matrix based on the standard matrix of the world map and the map of Korea and vicinity published by the National Geographic Information Institute in 2011. It investigated the characteristics of Spanish geographical name notation elicited from the matrix making process and reviewed the geographical names written in Spanish of Korea, China, and Japan that have not been confirmed officially. Spanish notation for foreign geographical names has continued since the early 16th century, it has been transformed into Spanish user friendly pronunciation, and has characteristics that notate the meaning of Spanish for users’ understanding of geographical names. Even though geographical names have some chaos, the geographical names written in foreign language have a tendency of Spanish. Korea followed the Korean pronunciation for geographical names. The transform of geographical names of Korea into Spanish were based on Spanish atlas, and the data and the Internet sites of UNGEGN and the mapmaking institutes of Spanish spoken countries were used. The detailed geographical names without Spanish notation followed Roman notation and Spanish notation guideline on geographical name produced by Korean Language Institute.
