The aim of this study is to investigate the awareness and satisfaction level of school meal services by elementary school students and their parents. Approximately 97.2% of student-subjects have agreed on the necessity of a free meal service for school lunch; 44.3% of student-subjects voiced the need to provide free meal services in order to eliminate discrimination of low-income students. Over one-third of student-subjects (36.7%) cited nutrition as the main benefit of providing a free meal service. The majority of parent-subjects (95.1%) have recognized the need for a free meal service in school; approximately 37.3% of parent-subjects responded to need the free meal service in order to eliminate the discrimination of impoverished students. Both student- and parent-subjects expressed a high level of satisfaction with the quality of ingredients and the type of soup/nutrition provided. Student-subjects insisted on better food hygiene and a new menu, but cited the noisy cafeteria as a problem associated with school meal services. In addition, approximately 56.5% of student-subjects responded to the need for nutritional education in school. Parent-subjects were primarily concerned with hygiene regarding the preparation of school meal services, noting the temperature of foods as the biggest problem in school meal services. The majority of parent-subjects (88.1%) responded to the need for the nutritional education in school. Results of this survey indicate that school meal services can be improved by increasing menu options and increasing food hygiene.

A computer experimental model for analyzing the microstructures and properties of vibratory deposited power compacts was developed. The effects of some significant variables such as amplitude, frequency, cycle, etc. on the change of diffraction patterns and packing densities of the deposited powder compacts were examined. In addition, the condition of phase transition from non-crystalline phase to crystalline one was determined. Data obtained from the present method quite well fitted the empirical correlations for real experimental data. In conclusion, the present model is so useful to investigate the densification and ordering of vibratory compaction.
서버 클러스터 환경에서 에너지 절약을 위한 동적 서버 전원 모드 제어

All the servers in a traditional server cluster environment are kept On. If the request load reaches to the maximum, we exploit its maximum possible performance, otherwise, we exploit only some portion of maximum possible performance so that the efficiency of server power consumption becomes low. We can improve the efficiency of power consumption by controlling power mode of servers according to load situation, that is, by making On only minimum number of servers needed to handle current load while making Off the remaining servers. In the existing power mode control method, they used a static policy to decide server power mode at a fixed time interval so that it cannot adapt well to the dynamically changing load situation. In order to improve the existing method, we propose a dynamic server power control algorithm. In the proposed method, we keep the history of server power consumption and, based on it, predict whether power consumption increases in the near future. Based on this prediction, we dynamically change the time interval to decide server power mode. We performed experiments with a cluster of 30 PCs. Experimental results show that our proposed method keeps the same performance while reducing 29% of power consumption compared to the existing method. In addition, our proposed method allows to increase the average CPU utilization by 66%. 기존의 서버 클러스터 환경에서는 모든 서버가 항상 On된다. 만일 서버 요청 부하가 최대가 되면 서버 클러스터에서 얻을 수 있는 가능한 최대 성능을 얻게 되며, 그렇지 않으면 가능한 최대 성능의 일부만을 사용하게 되면서 서버 전력 소비의 효율성은 떨어지게 된다. 부하 상황에 따라 서버의 전력 모드를 제어함으로써 전력 소비의 효율성을 높일 수 있다. 다시 말하면 현재 부하를 처리하는데 필요한 대수의 서버들만 On하고 나머지 서버들은 Off 한다. 기존의 서버 전원 모드 제어 방법에서는 고정된 주기로 서버 전원 모드를 제어하는 정적인 정책을 적용함으로써 동적으로 변하는 부하 환경에 잘 적응하지 못한다. 이를 개선하기 위해 본 논문에서는 동적 서버 전원 제어 알고리즘을 제안한다. 제안 방법에서는 서버 소비 전력의 이력을 갖고서 가까운 장래에 서버 소비 전력이 증가할 것인가를 예측한다. 이 예측에 따라 서버 모드 제어 주기를 동적으로 변경한다. 30대의 PC 클러스터를 이용하여 실험을 수행하였다. 실험을 통하여 일반적인 클러스터링 환경과 비교하여 제안된 방법은 동일한 성능을 유지하면서 29%까지 소비 전력을 절감했다. 또한, 서버 클러스터에서 서버 CPU 사용률 평균은 66% 증가하였다.

Mesozooplankton samples were collected during February to October 2014 in order to analyse change in the meso zooplankton community in Hallyeohaesang National Park the around sea of korea. 111 taxa (56 species) were sampled, 73 taxa (32 species) in Park and 56 taxa (24 species) in Control. Them, the highest abundance was detected in winter, and the lowest in spring, with average abundance ranging from 1,656~12,795 indiv. m−3, among which Noctiluca scintillans predominated. N. scintillans, Paraclanus copepodite, Corycaeus affinis, Oikopleura spp., were the most abundant species collected. Non-meric multidimensional scaling (nMDS) divided into a group in winter, six groups in spring, autumn and three groups in summer. Our results suggested that the community structure of zooplankton observed in this study might be affected partly by the seasonal changes with temperature, salinity and environmental variables.
19 세기 한국의 갓과 영국의 탑햇에 관한 특징 및 디자인 사례연구

The purpose of this study is to compare the features and history of Korean traditional headwear, the gat, to the British top hat of 19th century, and to examine redesigned gats and top hats by contemporary designers. In the 21st century, fashion is an important, rapidly changing industry that reflects the wider culture and marks from where brand identity is often derived. Indeed, many high fashion brands are using headpieces to attract consumers and forge their identities. Hats have not been fully explored by the modern fashion industry in Korea yet, but there are historical precedents in the Joseon Dynasty. This paper suggests broad possibilities in the application of contemporary hat design inspired by traditional headwear. In addition, by examining the development process of the gat and top hat, this paper expects to contribute a framework by which other hats can be reimagined using traditional elements.
