Currently, the proportion of diesel vehicles in all automobile has grown significantly over the past few years. Air pollutant also grew up and became a social problem. In particular, the issue of NOx emissions caused by NOx high emission in real driving has become a global issue. Despite the fact that the regulatory and reduction project of the new vehicle is actively carried out, there are no existence regulations of In-use diesel vehicle's NOx emission. Therefore, the emission characteristics of the in-use diesel vehicles were investigated to seek ways to reduce NOx emissions in this study. The test targets were used in 237 close inspection of exhaust gases and model year varied from 1996 to 2011. However, the classification of emissions by emission standards differed considerably from NOx emissions. This means that the selection method for early retirement targets should be converted from model year to amount of emissions. If the current early retirement program was applied to the existing system, pre-Euro 3 was 22.530 g/km and Euro 4 was 21.810 g/km to NOx reduction. However, when the vehicle was changed to high emission target vehicle, NOx reduction increase maximum 84.705 kg/yr. According to the study results, an effective reduction in NOx emissions can be achieved if an earlier target in expanded to Euro 4 vehicles.
대형화물차의 누적주행거리 및 배기량에 따른 실도로 배출특성에 관한 연구

최근 자동차 배출가스의 과다배출로 인한 대기오염의 심각성이 대두되고 있다. 특히 경유자동차의 경우 질소산화물(NOx)의 과다배출이 큰 이슈가 되어, 이를 개선하기 위해 배출허용기준강화, 배출가스 저감사업 등의 다양한 정책을 시행하고 있다. 이번 연구는 이러한 추세에 따라 경유자동차 중 많은 오염물질을 배출할 것으로 예상되는 대형화물차량에 대하여 PEMS(Portable Emission Measuremant System)을 이용한 실도로 배출가스 측정(Real Driving Emission, RDE) 결과를 차량의 누적주행거리 및 배기량에 따라 분석하였다. 그 결과 누적주행거리가 약 10 만 km 차이가 있을 경우 NOx 배출량은 약 10 배의 차이를 보였다. 또한 배기량이 2 배인 차량은 NOx 배출량이 약 3 배 높은 것으로 측정되었다.
류마티스관절염에서 치료 시기가 질병 활성도 및 관절 손상에 미치는 영향

Objective: We investigated the effect of the early diagnosis and treatment on the disease activity and joint damage in patients with rheumatoid arthritis (RA). Methods: We enrolled 242 RA patients (male 50 patients, female 192 patients, mean age 49.7±13.5 years old) in this study. They were divided into two groups according to lag-time to diagnose RA from the onset of symptoms. 136 RA patients whose lag-time did not exceed 12 months were classified into early diagnosed RA group and 106 RA patients whose lag-time over 12 months were classified into delayed diagnosed RA group. Baseline date were assessed at the time of diagnosis. Disease activity was assessed by sums of erythrocyte sedimentation rate (ESR) and C-reactive protein (CRP) during first year after diagnosis. Radiological joint damages were evaluated using modified Sharp score. Results: At the time of diagnosis, the age of patients, ESR and platelet counts were significantly decreased, and hemoglobin level was significantly increased in early diagnosed RA group. Early diagnosed RA group showed lower sums of ESR and CRP than delayed diagnosed RA group significantly. Modified sharp score at the time of diagnosis and after treatment were significantly lower in early diagnosed RA group than delayed diagnosed RA group. The difference of modified sharp score between at the time of diagnosis and after treatment were lower in early diagnosed RA group than delayed diagnosed RA group too. Conclusion: The early diagnosis and treatment of RA reduced extent of joint damage and provoked better response to treatment significantly.
도로 기반시설 개선과 교통흐름 변화에 따른 소형 경유자동차의 대기오염물질 배출특성

Changes in road infrastructure affect driving patterns and pollutant emission characteristics. we analyzed the changes in driving patterns and pollutant emission characteristics of the driving route via measured driving patterns at year 2009 and 2016. Since 2009, there has been an increase in population and traffic demand, including residential areas and industrial facilities. Traffic conditions were improved such as the opening of the highway Inter-Change to Seoul and the construction of underground driveway. As a result, the average vehicle speed increased. More detail comparisons have made on the changes of the underground driveway section and the crossroad section, which are expected to have significant changes in the transportation infrastructure. The vehicle speed distribution of the underground driveway changed from low speed to high speed, and the increase of the time spent at the high speed and high load caused the increase of NO<sub>x </sub>emissions. The vehicle speed also increased at the crossroad section, and the consequence NO<sub>x</sub> and CO<sub>2</sub> emissions decreased. It is mainly because the decreased time spent at idle, which results from the proper traffic demand management at this area.
다양한 주행거리를 가지는 직접분사방식 가솔린 자동차의 배출특성에 관한 연구

Recently, manufacture and sales of passenger car with GDI (Gasoline Direct injection) were dramatically increased in Korea. In this study, investigation on the exhaust emission characteristics of GDI vehicles according to mileage were conducted by using chassis dynamometer and emission analyzer. Test cars selected 5 types with G4FD engine (1600 cc) and emissions of total 14 vehicles analyzed. Measurement and evaluation on emissions (CO, NOx, NMOG, CO2) characteristics of GDI vehicles with mileages from 40,000 to 80,000 km in certification driving cycle (CVS-75) were carried out in this study. It is revealed that emission results of all test cars shows below emission standard, NMOG emission value of about 80,000 km doubled that of 40,000 km and emission increased by accumulated mileage. Also, increasing pattern of NOx emissions shows when the vehicle mileages was increased and CO2 emission increasing trend obviously do not show according to mileages.

Focal myositis is an uncommon benign inflammatory myopathy of unknown cause affecting skeletal muscle, and presenting as a localized painful swelling within the soft tissue of an extremity. According to some reports, focal myositis may occur in patients with rheumatoid arthritis, sarcoidosis, and other connective tissue diseases. To our knowledge, there has been no case report of focal myositis associated with rheumatoid arthritis. We report first case of focal myositis in a patient with rheumatoid arthritis.
