Nowadays, more attention is paid to the development of high efficiency electrical machines for energy saving and the protection of natural resources. This paper presents a study on loss of permanent magnet(PM) brushless motors that is focused on driving method of two surface-mounted PM motors: the first with brushless-DC(BLDC) motor and the other with brushless-AC(BLAC) motor. This paper also deals with a computation method of copper loss, core loss and eddy current loss of rotor for a compressor. These machines have the same stator core and magnet on the rotor volume and the same winding distribution on the stator with fractional slot windings. Finally, the presented method in this paper has been verified by finite element method(FEM).
A Deep Learning-Based Defect Detection and Inverse Design of Block Copolymer System

Recently, as an emerging paradigm of material science, deep learning has shown its potential in various research fields; there have been attempts to apply deep learning in designing molecules’ structures, analyzing spectral data, and even sampling more accurate free energy landscapes. Among this unlimited potential of deep learning technology, image processing using deep learning has been particularly outstanding. Here, we propose deep learning algorithms to identify defects and quantify the ordering qualities in lamella- and cylinder-forming block copolymer films, replacing conventional defect inspection tools involved with either manual defect detections or inefficient image processing steps. We further use the developed deep learning neural networks for an inverse design of system parameters to achieve a targeting self-assembled structure.
관성측정장치를 이용한 요추 가동범위 측정방법의 반복성 및 검사자 내 검사-재검사 신뢰도 연구

Objectives : The purpose of this study is to estimate the test-retest reliability and the intratest repeatability in measuring the lumbar range of motion of healthy volunteers with wireless microelectromechanical system inertial measurement unit(MEMS-IMU) system and to discuss the feasibility of this system in the clinical setting to evaluate the lumbar spine movement. Methods : 19 healthy male volunteers were participated, who got under 21 points at oswestry disability index(ODI) were adopted. Their lumbar motion were measured with IMU twice in consecutive an hour for the test-retest reliability study. Intratest repeatability was calculated in the two tests separately. The calculated intraclass correlation coefficients(ICC) were discussed and compared with the those of the previous studies. Results : Lumbar range of motion of flexion 41.45°, extension 16.34°, right lateral bending 16.41° left lateral bending 13.63° right rotation -2.47°, left rotation -0.61°. ICCs were 0.96∼1.00(intratest repeatability) and 0.61∼0.92(test-retest reliability). Conclusion : This study shows that MEMS-IMU system demonstrates a high test-retest reliability and intratest repeatability by calculated intraclass correlation coefficients. The results of this study represents that wireless inertial sensor measurement system has portable and economical efficiency. By MEMS-IMU system, we can measures lumbar range of motion and analyze lumbar motion effectively.
DOA 가소제를 함유한 추진제의 라이너 가소제 종류에 따른 물성 변화에 관한 연구

본 연구에서는 DOA 를 함유한 추진제가 다양한 가소제를 함유한 라이너와 접착하여 경화되었을 때 추진제의 물성 변화를 확인하였다. 그 과정에서 추진제 내의 가소제인 DOA 의 migration 효과에 의하여 추진제, 라이너 특성이 크게 변화하는 것을 실험을 통해 확인하였다. IDP 가소제를 함유한 라이너와 추진제의 접착력은 DOA 혹은 DOA 와 화학구조가 비슷한 DOS 를 함유한 라이너와 추진제 사이의 접착력에 비해 크게 떨어졌다. 또한 IDP 가소제를 함유한 라이너가 적용된 추진제의 물성은 그렇지 않은 추진제에 비하여 모듈러스, 인장강도 값이 크고 연신율 성능은 떨어졌다.

We present a case of persistent left superior vena cava, anomalous right pulmonary venous connection to the right-sided superior vena cava and sinus venosus atrial septal defect detected by computed tomography (CT) pulmonary angiography and echocardiography. These defects were surgically corrected using a double-patch technique. In fact, CT can provide anatomical information about a complex anomaly in the systemic and pulmonary vasculatures. Though modern imaging techniques are useful for detecting complex cardiovascular disease, careful echocardiographic examination should be performed to diagnose complex cardiac anomalies.

This study aimed to develop appropriate temperature management practices and provide scientific evidence to support the development of sell-by-date guidance for eggs. Washed and unwashed eggs were subjected to storage under six different scenarios, and both types of eggs were stored at temperatures up to 35℃ to evaluate the sell-by-date. Despite temperature fluctuations or continuous storage at 30℃ for 5 days, subsequent storage at 10℃ resulted in significantly higher Haugh unit and yolk index on day 15. These results indicate that refrigerating eggs from retail sales until consumption is effective for egg quality management, despite the exposure of up to 35℃ during distribution. In terms of sell-by-date evaluation, washed eggs retained class B quality for an additional 37 days beyond the recommended sell-by-date at 15℃, which is above the regulated storage temperature. However, unwashed eggs maintained class B quality for approximately 20 days at 30℃–35℃, emphasizing the need for sell-by-date guidelines for unwashed eggs. This study is the first to provide appropriate egg-handling practices based on the actual distribution environment in Korea.
