        우리나라 소나무 및 일본잎갈나무의 지역별 형상비 추정

        This study was conducted to highlight the necessity for a stand density control management plan in consideration of the shape ratio of Pinus densiflora and Larix kaempferi in Korea. A total of 2,112 Pinus densiflora samples and 2,030 Larix kaempferi samples were cut, and their diameter at breast height (DBH), height, and clear length were measured for regional shape ratio (height/DBH) comparison and analysis.The shape ratio of Pinus densiflora was 72.3% in the Gangwon district, 64.0% in the central district, and 70.8% on average, indicating a higher percentage of Pinus densiflora in Gangwon than in the central area. Regionally, Yeongju had the highest percentage at 78.4%, with Yeongwol indicating 77.5%. Measured by diameter, results showed a presence of 90.4% for small diameter trees (6–16 cm), 71.7% for medium diameter trees (18–28 cm), and 56.1% for large diameter trees (30 cm). As density increased, the shape ratio of height to tree trunk diameter also increased; below 70% indicated a more stable trunk, while a result above 80% indicated trunks prone to wind hazards and snowstorms, and, therefore, the need for density control in partial areas. The overall shape ratio of Larix kaempferi was 90.6%. Pyeongchang indicated a 108.5% ratio, Yeongju 105.4%, and Danyang 100.5%, respectively.According to diameter class, small diameter trees showed 104.9% occurrence, medium diameter trees 92.7%, and large diameter trees 73.4%. The shape ratio of Larix kaempferi was higher than 80% overall, indicating vulnerability to wind hazards and snowstorms. Therefore, appropriate stand density management is required. 본 연구는 우리나라 소나무와 일본잎갈나무의 지역별 형상비를 고려한 임분 밀도 관리의 필요성과 관리 방안을제시하기 위하여 수행되었다. 전국을 대상으로 소나무 2,112본, 일본잎갈나무 2,030본을 벌채하여 흉고직경 및 수고, 지하고를 측정하고 지역별 형상비(수고/흉고직경)를 비교 분석하였다. 소나무의 형상비는 강원지방 소나무 72.3%, 중부지방소나무 64.0%, 소나무 평균 70.8%로 강원지방소나무가 중부지방소나무에 비하여 높게 나타났다. 지역별로는 영주 78.4%, 영월 77.5%순으로 높게 나타났으며, 직경별로는 소경목 90.4%, 중경목 71.7%, 대경목 56.1%로 나타났다. 형상비는 밀도가 높아질수록 수간의 직경에 대한 수고의 비율(형상비)이 높아지며, 70% 이하면 안정성이 높으나 80%를 초과하면 풍해및 폭설피해로 위험해지기 때문에 일부 지역에서는 임분 밀도관리가 필요하다. 일본잎갈나무의 전체 평균 형상비는 90.6% 이며, 지역별로는 평창 108.5%, 영주 105.4%, 단양 100.5% 순으로 나타났다. 경급별로는 소경목 104.9%, 중경목 92.7%, 대경목 73.4%로 전체적으로 일본잎갈나무의 형상비가 80% 이상으로 풍해 및 폭설피해의 위험에 노출되어 있어 빠른 시일내에 적정 임분 밀도의 관리의 시업이 요구되어 진다.

        기후변화에 따른 난대상록활엽수의 적지예측 평가 모델 개발

        This study was carried out to develop assessment model for the optimal site prediction of Dendropanax morbifera, Evergreen broad-leaved trees in warm temperate zone according to climate change. It was created criterion for assessment model of the optimal site prediction by quantification method to possible analysis of quantitative and qualitative data, through study relationship between growth of tree and site environmental factors. A program of the optimal site prediction was developed using program version 3.2, an Avenue and Dialog Designer tool of ESRI as GIS(geographic information system) engine. Developed program applied to test accuracy of the optimal site prediction in study area of Wando, Jeollanam-do, having a various evergreen broad-leaved trees of warm temperate zone. In the results from analysis of the optimal site prediction on Dendropanax morbifera, the characteristics of optimal site were analyzed site environmental features with 401~500m of altitude, 15° of slope, hillside of local topography, alluvium of deposit type, convex of slope type and south of aspect. The mapping area per grade of the optimal site prediction in the Dendropanax morbifera showed 1,487.2ha(25.4%) of classⅠ, 1,020.3ha(17.4%) of classⅡ, 2,231.8ha(38.2%) of class Ⅲ and 1,110.5ha(19.0%) of class Ⅳ. 본 연구는 기후변화에 따른 난대상록수종인 황칠나무의 적지예측모델을 개발하기 위하여 수행하였다. 생장 및 입지환경 인자들간의 관계 구명을 통하여 양적·질적 자료 분석이 가능한 수량화 분석 방법에 의하여 황칠나무의 적지예측 평가기준을 도출하였다. 적지예측 프로그램은 ESRI, ArcView GIS 프로그램을 이용하여 개발하였다. 개발된 프로그램은 적지예측의 정확성 검토를 위하여 다양한 난대 상록활엽수가 분포하고 있는 전남 완도 지역에 적용하였다. 황칠나무의 적지예측 분석 결과, 최적지 표고 401~500 m, 경사도 15°이하, 국소지형은 산복 계곡부위, 퇴적양식 붕행토, 방위가 남쪽인 요철사면으로 나타났다. 완도지역의 황칠나무 최적지 등급별 맵핑 면적은 Ⅰ등급 1,487.2ha(25.4%), Ⅱ등급 1,020.3ha (17.4%), Ⅲ등급 2,231.8ha(38.2%), Ⅳ등급 1,110.5ha(19.0%)로 나타났다.

        우리나라 소나무의 수간곡선식 추정에 의한 탄소저장량 및 흡수량 산정

        This study was conducted to estimate carbon stocks of Pinus densiflora with drawing volume of trees in each tree height and DBH applying the suitable stem taper equation and tree specific carbon emission factors, using collected growth data from all over the country. Information on distribution area, tree age, tree number per hectare, tree volume and volume stocks were obtained from the 5th National Forest Inventory (2006∼2010) and Statistical yearbook of forest (2016), and method provided in IPCC GPG was applied to estimate carbon stock and uptake. Performance in predicting stem diameter at a specific point along a stem in Pinus densiflora by applying Kozak’s model, d = , which is well known equation in stem taper estimation, was evaluated with validations statistics, Fitness Index, Bias and Standard Error of Bias. Consequently, Kozak’s model turned out to be suitable in all validations statistics. Stem volume table of P. densiflora was derived by applying Kozak’s model and carbon stock tables in each tree height and DBH were developed with country-specific carbon emission factors (WD = 0.445 t/m3, BEF = 1.445, R = 0.255) of P. densiflora. As the results of analysis in carbon uptake for each province, the values were high with Gangwon-do 9.4 tCO2/ha/yr, Gyeongsandnam-do and Gyeonggi-do 8.7 tCO2/ha/yr, Chungcheongnam-do 7.9 tCO2/ha/yr and Gyeongsangbuk-do 7.8 tCO2/ha/yr in order, and Jeju-do was the lowest with 6.8 tC/ha/yr. Total carbon stocks of P. densiflora were 127,677 thousands tC which is 25.5% compared with total percentage of forest and carbon stock per hectare (ha) was 84.5 tC/ha and 7.8 tCO2/ha/yr, respectively.

        소나무(강원지방 · 중부지방) 중량추정식 및 중량표 개발

        This study was conducted to derive the fresh weight and dry weight estimation formulas of Pinus densiflora and prepare a weight table using them. Aone-variable formula using only the diameter at breast height (DBH) and a two-variable formula using DBH and height were used to calculate the fresh and dry weight. Each equation was verified using statistics, such as fit index, standard error, and residuals. Theoptimal equation was evaluated for applicability by calculating the weight as a coefficient derived from a statistical verification. W = bD+cD2 was selected for the one-variable equation, while W = aDbHc was selected for the two-variable equation. The fit index of the former was 0.87–0.92, while that of the latter was 0.94–0.98, both of which showed a good fit. A new weight table was prepared using the optimal estimation formula, and it was compared and analyzed with a previous weight table. Analysis results showed that Gangwon pine had higher values in the previous weight table, while pines in the central region had higher values in the newly created weight table. 본 연구는 소나무의 생중량 및 건중량 추정식을 도출하고, 이를 이용하여 중량표를 작성하기 위해 수행되었다. 생중량 및 건중량을 산정하기 위해 이용한 식은 흉고직경만을 이용하는 1변수식, 흉고직경과 수고를 이용하는 2변수식을 적용하였다. 생중량 및 건중량을 산정하기 위해 각 식은 적합도 지수, 표준오차, 잔차도 등의 통계량을 이용하여 검증하였다. 또한 최적식은 통계적 검증을 거쳤으며, 도출된 계수로서 중량을 계산하여 적용성을 검토하였다. 분석결과, 1변수식에서는W = bD+cD2이 선정되었으며, 2변수식에서는 때 W = aDbHc가 선정이 되었다. 1변수 최적추정식의 적합도지수는0.87~0.92 범위였으며, 2변수 중량추정식 적합도지수는 0.94~0.98 범위로, 두 가지 식 모두 적합도가 높았다. 최적 추정식을 이용하여 새로운 중량표를 작성하고 이전 중량표와 비교 분석하였다. 분석결과, 강원지방소나무는 이전 중량표의 값이더 높은 반면, 중부지방소나무는 새롭게 작성된 중량표의 값이 더 높았다.

        Relationship of H/D and crown ratio and tree growth for Chamaecyparis obtusa and Cryptomeria japonica in Korea

        This study was conducted to suggest the necessity of regulated stand density control in order to maintain the ratio of height to diameter at breast height (H/D ratio) of Hinoki cypress (Chamaecyparis obtusa) and Japanese cedar (Cryptomeria japonica) in South Korea. A total of 2,000 (1,000 each) Hinoki cypress and Japanese cedar were cut from various regions of South Korea, and their diameter at breast height (DBH), height and clear length were measured. The two species’ regional means of H/D ratio and crown ratio were then computed and compared to find the relationship with tree growth. The result of analyzing the relationship between the H/D ratio and tree growth by DBH class is as follows, 77.0% for small DBH class, 62.5% for medium DBH class, and 45.9% for large DBH class, with overall mean of 61.8%. The annual means of DBH growth were 4.6mm, 7.4mm, and 8.2mm respectively for small, medium, and large DBH classes. As the DBH class went up, the H/D ratio decreased, showing a negative correlation (p<0.0001) with the tree growth rate. However, the crown ratio showed a significant correlation with tree growth. Japanese cedar’s H/D ratios by DBH class were 100.5% for small, 74.9% for medium, and 53.6% for large, while its mean annual DBH growth were 5.1mm, 7.6 mm, and 10.0 mm, from small to large DBH class respectively. Similar to that of Hinoki cypress, Japanese cedar’s H/D ratio showed a negative correlation with the growth rate (p<0.0001), but no significant relationship could be established between the crown ratio and the tree growth. In both arboreal species, the correlation between the H/D ratio and growth rate is negative, and no significant correlation could be formulated between crown ratio and tree growth. In conclusion, both tree species tended to have a higher H/D ratio and a lower growth rate in small DBH class, while H/D ratio decreased and growth rate increased As DBH class got larger.
