        태권도 품새 몸통 안막기의 유형에 따른 동작 및 상지 근활성도 분석

        본 연구의 목적은 몸통 안막기 동작 수행 시 효율적인 방법을 제시하고, 그에 따른 수련의 방법과 평가의 정량적이고 일관적인 기준의 기초 자료 제공을 위한 것으로 다음과 같은 결론을 얻었다. 소요시간의 변화에서는 C유형으로 손동작의 시작 위치가 귀 높이의 어깨 뒤쪽 사선방향에서 거리를 두고 시작하는 자세를 취하여 짧은 소요시간으로 속도를 증가 시켜 운동량을 크게 하는 것이 가장 효율적인 것으로 나타났다. 신체중심의 위치 변화에서 전·후, 좌·우의 이동은 상지의 움직임의 안정성에 기여하였고, 상·하의 이동은 상지 움직임의 높낮이에 따라 동조를 하며, 특히 안정성과 속도증가에 기여하는 것으로 나타났다. 상지 관절의 각도 변화에서 견관절의 변화는 동작수행 속도와 주관절 각도 변화에 가장 크게 기여하였으며, 주관절의 변화는 말단부위의 위치를 인체중심선과 가깝게 하여 몸통의 회전력을 증가하고, 손의 접선방향을 결정하게 하여 수행 방향과 속도를 결정짓게 하는 것으로 나타났다. 근활성도 분석에서는 근육의 지속적인 수축보다는 근육의 수축 후 빠르게 이어지는 이완이 분절들의 선속도 증가에 도움을 주며, 효율적인 동작을 수행할 수 있게 하는 것으로 나타났다. 이상의 결과를 종합해보면 몸통 안막기 동작 수행 시, 준비자세에서 견관절의 각을 크게 외전하면서 주관절의 각을 신전시켜야 하며, 원위부인 손의 위치가 어깨보다 높고 인체중심선에서 거리를 두고, 어깨 뒤쪽의 사선 방향에서 시작하는 것이 가장 이상적인 시작 자세로 판단된다. 또한 동작 수행에 있어서는 근육이 지속적인 수축은 동작 수행에 효과적이지 못하며 근수축으로 인한 말단부위를 인체중심선 가까이로 당겼다가 다시 근육을 이완 시켜 던져주면서 동작을 수행하는 것이 가장 효율적인 것이라 판단된다. The purpose of the present research is to suggest the most efficient method when executing the momtong-an-makgi motion of taekwondo techniques and to provide the basic data of quantitative and coherent criteria in the aspect of training method and evaluation. In terms of run-time change, as in the case of the ``C`` type, the starting position of the blocking arm placed at the height of the ear diagonally behind the shoulder results in the increase in the velocity of the motion, increasing momentum and proved to be the most efficient. In terms of position change of the body-center, the shifts in the coronal plane (between the front and the rear) and the sagittal plane (between the left and the right) are found to have contributed to the increase in the stability and acceleration in accordance with the movement of the blocking arm. The shift in the transverse plane (between the up and down) is attributed to the height of the body-center in accordance with the height of movement of the blocking arm, particularly contributed to the increase in stability and acceleration. In terms of change in the angle of the arm joint, the flexion and swift angular velocity of the shoulder-joint, which is the adjacent part to the arm, is found to be contributed the most to the velocity of the blocking arm. The flexion of the elbow joint assists the torque of the body-center by shifting the location of the extremities near to the body-center, and it determines the direction of contact for the hand extremities and makes the velocity of the blocking motion fast and accurate. In the electromyographic analysis of the arm, the muscle relaxation rather than continuous muscle contraction helps the angular velocity of the joints and linear velocity of segmentation to be increased and it makes the efficient movement of the blocking possible. To summarize the above findings, when performing the momtong-an-makgi motion, keeping the blocking arm high by abducting the angle of the shoulder-joint widely, extending the angle of the elbow joint and the position of the hand extremities higher than the shoulder and farther from the body-center, and starting from the back of the shoulder in a diagonal direction is found to be the most ideal posture. When performing the blocking motion, keeping the muscles relaxed rather than continuously contracted and pulling the extremities of the blocking arm to the center line of the body and delivering it to the finishing point is found to be the most efficient. For the further studies, the technical researches on the kinesiological and sports biomechanical analysis of the momtong-an-makgi motion with the motor coordination of the legs and the ground reaction and also on the preparatory hand motion of the other arm are highly recommended.

        Gastrointestinal stromal tumor (GIST) is the most common non-epithelial neoplasm arising in the gastrointestinal tract, but this tumor is rarely seen in association with type l neurofibromatosis (NFl) Generally, the majority of GISTs are isolated neoplasm and they are sporadically found in the stomach, but the GISTs in NFl patients are usually multiple and usually found in the small intestine. We report a case of multiple GISTs in the jejunum of a 63-year-old woman diagnosed as NFl accompanied by complication of gastrointestinal bleeding, In this case, Patient had multiple cafe-au lait spots and neurofibroma on skin and had freckling on axilla and groin, and then, we made a diagnosis of NFl. Gastrointestinal bleeding is controlled by resection of multiple GISTs. Generally, only 3-5% of all gastrointestinal bleeding comes from the small bowel. Causes of small intestinal bleeding are angiodysplasia, neoplasm, NSAIDs induced ulcer etc. but, If patients have NFl accompanied by complication of gastrointestinal bleeding, GISTs on small bowel must be considered.

      • Improvement of heat resistance of poly(vinyl alcohol) hydrogels by radiation crosslinking and heating

        PVA hydrogels were prepared by drying, swelling, electron beam irradiation and heating. Electron beam and heat treatment processes were carried out to increase heat resistance of PVA hydrogels in boiling water. The physical properties such as gel content, degree of swelling and gel strength for the synthesized hydrogels were examined. The structure variations were investigated using the following techniques : IR spectroscopy and differential scanning calorimetry(DSC).

        Chitin deacetylase from Absidia coerulea CHK-1 : Mycerial chitin deacetylase of a chitin deacelylase-hyperproducuing fungus, Absidia coerulea CHK-1

        A mycelial chitin deacetylase has been purified from a chitin deacetylase-hyperproducing fungus, Absidiα coerulea CHK-1. The purified enzyme had a molecular mass of about 62 kDa on denaturated and natural conditions. The pI was 5.5. The chitin deacetylase, when resolved by SDS-PAGE, was positive for Schiff staining, suggesting that the enzyme is a glycoprotein. When O-hydroxylated chitin (glycolchitin) was used as a substrate, the enzyme displayed a temperature optimum of around 50℃ and a pH optimum of around PH 5,5. The enzyme was stable to incubation from pH 3.0 to pH 6.5 at 4℃ for 24 hr. The presence of chitin protected the enzyme from heat inactivation, the extent depending upon the substrate concentration. The activity of the enzyme was stimulated by Mn2+ ion. The enzyme is active on chitooligosaccharides with more than two N-acetylglucosamine residues (M-acetylchitobiose). However, the enzyme is not active on N-acetylglucosamine. The enzyme had an apparent Km of 12.4 mM and Kcat of 32.4 /sec for glycol chitin, respectively.

        Diversity of Ion Channels in Human Bone Marrow Mesenchymal Stem Cells from Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis Patients

        Human bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells (hBM-MSCs) represent a potentially valuable cell type for clinical therapeutic applications. The present study was designed to evaluate the effect of long-term culturing (up to $10^{th}$ passages) of hBM-MSCs from eight individual amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) patients, focusing on functional ion channels. All hBM-MSCs contain several MSCs markers with no significant differences, whereas the distribution of functional ion channels was shown to be different between cells. Four types of $K^+$ currents, including noise-like $Ca^{+2}$-activated $K^+$ current ($IK_{Ca}$), a transient outward $K^+$ current ($I_{to}$), a delayed rectifier $K^+$ current ($IK_{DR}$), and an inward-rectifier $K^+$ current ($K_{ir}$) were heterogeneously present in these cells, and a TTX-sensitive $Na^+$ current ($I_{Na,TTX}$) was also recorded. In the RT-PCR analysis, Kv1.1,, heag1, Kv4.2, Kir2.1, MaxiK, and hNE-Na were detected. In particular, ($I_{Na,TTX}$) showed a significant passage-dependent increase. This is the first report showing that functional ion channel profiling depend on the cellular passage of hBM-MSCs.

      • <i>Humulus japonicus</i> inhibits the progression of Alzheimer's disease in a APP/PS1 transgenic mouse model

        <P><I>Humulus japonicus</I> Siebold & Zucc. (HJ) has traditionally been administered to patients with pulmonary disease, skin disease and hypertension in Korea, and it is considered to exert anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, antimicrobial and anti-mycobacterial effects. However, its effects against Alzheimer's disease (AD) have yet to be explored. Thus, this study was carried out to investigate whether HJ has a beneficial effect on the progression of AD in an animal model. A methanolic extract of HJ (500 mg/kg/day) was intragastrically administered to 5-month-old APP/PS1 transgenic (Tg-APP/PS1) mice for 2.5 months. Novel object recognition and Y-maze alteration tests were used to assess cognitive function, and an immunohistochemical assay was performed to assess amyloid β (Aβ) deposition, tau phosphorylation and gliosis. An <I>in vitro</I> assay using a microglial cell line was also performed to investigate the anti-inflammatory effects of HJ. Our results revealed that HJ significantly decreased the mRNA and protein expression levels of tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α), interleukin (IL)-1β, IL-6 and inducible nitric oxide synthase (iNOS) induced by lipopolysaccharide in the microglial cell line. The administration of HJ for 2 months improved the cognitive function of Tg-APP/PS1 mice. HJ notably reduced the area occupied by Aβ and neurofibrillary tangles, and the number of activated astrocytes and microglia in the cortex of Tg-APP/PS1 mice. The findings of our study suggest that HJ has the therapeutic potential to inhibit the progression of AD and to improve cognitive deterioration in Tg-APP/PS1 mice.</P>

        석이버섯과 운지버섯 균사체 추출물이 장내 세균의 생육에 미치는 영향

        본 연구에서는 비만과 관련된 요소 중 하나인 장내 균총을 개선하고자, 식이섬유소가 풍부하고 저칼로리인 담자균류 추출물을 이용하여 in vitro 상에서 비만 관련 장내 미생물에 대한 항균활성을 조사하였다. 항균성 담자 균류 소재 탐색결과 석이버섯 자실체와 운지버섯 균사체의 추출물을 선발하였고, 선발된 담자균류 소재 추출물의 특성을 분석한 결과 열에 대단히 안정하였고, pH에도 비교적 안정한 것으로 나타났다. 또한 rat을 이용한 동물실험에서 석이버섯 80% 에탄올 추출물 투여군이 고지방식이만 투여한 군에 비하여, 장내 균총에서 Bifidobacterium spp.가 증가되었고, Clostridium spp.와 Eubacterium spp.는 감소된 것으로 나타났다. 석이버섯과 운지버섯 추출물이 첨가된 기능성 음료를 제조하고자 관능평가를 실시한 결과, 운지버섯 균사체 배양액에 석이버섯 추출물을 3% 첨가한 실험구가 가장 좋은 평가를 받았다. 이러한 결과를 토대로 석이버섯과 운지버섯 추출물이 장내 균총 개선을 위한 기능성 식품소재로 활용될 수 있을 것으로 생각된다. The functional food components from various Basidiomycota were investigated to improve human intestinal microflora, especially associated with obesity. EtOH extract from Gyrophora esculenta fruit body and Coriolus versicolor judae mycelia showed antimicrobial activities on Eubacterium limosum, Clostridium perfrigens, Clostridium paraputrificum, Clostridium difficile and Clostridium ramosum, and on Bacteroides fragilis, respectively. Although the 80% EtOH extract from G. esculenta fruit body and hot-water extract from C. versicolor judae mycelia did not reduce weight of the rats in the high fat diet, these extracts showed stability at high temperatures and at wide pH ranges. In the rat group of feeding 80% EtOH extract from G. esculanta fruit body, Bifidobacterium spp. were increased and Clostridium spp. and Eubacterium spp. were decreased compared to the high fat feeding group. Also sensory evaluation was carried out for the development of prototype drink product. These results demonstrated the possibilities of C. versicolor judae and G. esculenta as a functional food components to control intestinal microbial flora.
