Background: Shoulder horizontal adduction (HA) is performed in many activities of daily living. The limited range of motion (LROM) of HA is affected by the tightness of the posterior deltoid, infraspinatus, teres major, and posterior capsule of glenohumeral joint. The LROM of shoulder HA contributes to excessive scapular abduction. Objects: The aim of this study is to compare the scapular abduction distance and three dimensional displacement of the scapula during shoulder horizontal adduction between subjects with and without the LROM of shoulder HA. Methods: 24 subjects (12 people in LROM group and 12 people in normal ROM group) participated. Subjects with less than 115° of HA ROM were included in LROM group. Shoulder HA was performed 3 times for measuring scapular abduction distance and three-dimensional displacement of the scapula. Tape measure was used for measuring scapular abduction distance. Scapular abduction distance was normalized by dividing the scapular size. Polhemus Liberty was used for measuring the three dimensional displacement of the scapula. Results: Normalized scapular abduction distance was significantly greater in LROM group than normal ROM group (p<.001). Three-dimensional displacement of the scapula during shoulder HA was greater in LROM group than normal ROM group (p<.05). Conclusion: LROM group had a greater scapular abduction and three-dimensional displacement of the scapula during shoulder HA compared to normal ROM group.
Material corrosion troubles on heat recovery section in waste to energy facility

Typically, municipal solid waste contains large portion of combustible matter to recover heat energy by thermal treatment. Conventional combustion is promising and well-known technology to treat municipal solid waste safely. However, municipal solid waste in Korea consists of miscellaneous materials with incombustible materials and large amounts of moisture, which prevent heat recovery from combusting. Due to fossil fuel limitation, technological development of renewable and sustainable energy such as waste to energy (WtE) is necessary. Solid refused fuel (SRF) mainly consists of combustible matter which is derived from municipal solid waste by separation process, and heat content was maximized by intensive drying process. Combustible matter in SRF contains plastics fraction to increase calorific value. In this study, commercial SRF boiler with 100MW capacity was selected to investigate corrosion issue in boiler tube and convection pass. Usually, chlorine content of fuel occur boiler tube corrosion, and alkali metals such as K, Na, Ca occur slagging and fouling. Based on the fuel analysis, the average chlorine content of SRF was 1.32%. In XRF analysis, the chlorine content in boiler tube ash and bottom ash was 6.1% and 4.3%, respectively. In SEM-EDX analysis, the chlorine content in corrosion part on boiler tube was ranged from 11.95% to 30.52%. Figure 1 shows the corrosion part of boiler tube and facility location which was occurred alkali-chlorine corrosion.

This study tries to analyze domestic theater service processes for improvement of current services and better audiences’ satisfaction. The service blueprint method is used not only for establishment of a typical theater service process, but also for identifying critical service points affecting audiences’ satisfaction. A typical theater service process is identified as a service process diagram by identifying various front and rear support activities and functional interactions among them. In addition, several critical service points such as failure and waiting points may cause audiences’ dissatisfaction to the service. In this study, the theater service is analyzed as a service process diagram using the service blueprinting method. The results of this study will play an important role in improving quality of current theater services and its resulting audiences’ satisfaction. This study can also contribute in developing a archetypal service process of other performing arts service processes.

BACKGROUND: Recently, the project for improvement of water quality and preservation of the Yeongsan and Seomjin river basin was actively promoted. However, the publicity for many results of the project is not actively done, thus they are rarely used. Furthermore, there are not sufficient information about the projects preformed by other research institutions, Therefore, the watershed management system for efficient water management is needed in the Yeongsan and Seomjin river basin, CONCLUSION: Firstly, establishment of the Yeongsan and Seomjin river basin management research center, Secondly, construciton of wed-based water management research network. These results will serve as a basic data for efficient water management.

<P><B>Abstract</B></P> <P>Oncolytic adenovirus (oAd)-mediated gene therapy is a promising approach for cancer treatment because of its cancer cell-restricted replication and therapeutic gene expression. However, systemic administration of oAd is severely restricted by their immunogenic nature and poor tumor homing ability, thus oAd cannot be utilized to treat disseminated metastases. In this study, human bone marrow-derived mesenchymal stromal cell (hMSCs) was used as a viral replication-permissive carrier for oAd with an aim to improve the systemic delivery of the virus to tumor tissues. To overcome the poor delivery of oAd into hMSCs, a relaxin (RLX)-expressing oncolytic Ad (oAd/RLX), which degrades dense tumor extracellular matrix of highly desmoplastic pancreatic cancer, was complexed with biodegradable polymer (poly (ethyleneimine)-conjugated poly(CBA-DAH); PCDP), generating oAd/RLX-PCDP complex. oAd/RLX-PCDP complex enhanced the internalization of oAd into hMSC, leading to superior viral production and release from hMSCs, along with high RLX expression. Furthermore, systemic administration of oAd/RLX-PCDP-treated hMSCs elicited more potent antitumor effect compared to naked oAd/RLX or oAd/RLX-treated hMSC in pancreatic tumor model. This potent antitumor effect of systemically administered oAd/RLX-PCDP-treated hMSCs was achieved by superior viral replication in tumor tissues than any other treatment group. In conclusion, these results demonstrate that hMSCs are effective carriers for the systemic delivery of oAd to tumor sites and treatment of pancreatic cancer.</P>
Identification of Antiadipogenic Constituents of the Rhizomes of Anemarrhena asphodeloides

Three new phenolic compounds, (E)-4'-demethyl-6-methyleucomin (1), anemarcoumarin A (2), and anemarchalconyn (3), were isolated from an ethyl acetate extract of the rhizomes of Anemarrhena asphodeloides, together with seven known compounds (4-10). The structures of the new compounds (1-3) were determined on the basis of spectroscopic data interpretation. Compound 3 exhibited a potent inhibitory effect against the differentiation of preadipocyte 3T3-L1 cells with an IC50 value of 5.3 microM.

Purpose: Curriculum integration is the unification of subjects and provides theme-based educational experience. The purpose of this study was to introduce the curriculum integration process using circus unit in elementary physical education. Method: Fifty-six (M=29, F=27) second graders of 17 nationalities in International School of Koje participated in this case study. They participated in the circus unit for 10 PE lessons (40min/lesson). The process of learning Circus units was (1) setting learning target (Lesson learning target and ISK personal goal) → (2) entry point → (3) knowledge harvest → (4) explaining the theme→ (5) big picture→ (6) research activity → (7) recording activity(assessment) → (8) exit point(performance at the lower school assembly). The circus unit of work is based around specific targets derived from the learning goals of the school subjects, which includes the work of artists who have painted pictures about the circus in Art, how circuses have changed over the years in History, which materials would make a waterproof tent in Science, how to plan and make circus tents for soft toys in Technology, how to use maps and atlases to find out about the countries some circus animals come from in Geography, how to compose and write rhythms and tunes about circus performers in Music, how to make tickets and a poster for our own circus in ICT, what different people think about using animals in the circus, and how to balance and make movements used in circus performances in Physical Education. Result: This study provides theme-based curriculum integration where subjects are linked together with PE and the content of circus show. Results of the study showed that students can improve their knowledge, skills, and understanding in a wide range of circus unit by collecting varied information on circus and experiencing it. Also, it proved itself to be the practice of integrated education through the cooperation among teachers. Conclusion: Curriculum integration was effective in how well children learn in school. PE and other subjects linked each other taught circus and it systematically consists of all the educational aspects from objectives to assessment.
Anthocyanins in Cowpea [Vigna unguiculata (L.) Walp. ssp. unguiculata]

The aim of this study was to isolate and identify the anthocyanins in the black seed coated cowpea [Vigna unguiculata (L.) Walp. ssp. unguiculata] using reverse phase C-18 open column chromatography and high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) with diode array detection and electro spray ionization/mass spectrometry (DAD-ESI/MS) analysis, respectively. Anthocyanins were extracted from the coat of black cowpea with 1%trifluoroacetic acid (TFA) in methanol, isolated by RP-C-18 column chromatography, and their structures elucidated by 1D and 2D nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR)spectroscopy. The isolated anthocyanins were characterized as delphinidin-3-O-glucoside (2) and cyanidin-3-Oglucoside (4). Furthermore, 5 minor anthocyanins were detected and identified as delphinidin-3-O-galactoside (1),cyanidin-3-O-galactoside (3), petunidin-3-O-glucoside (5),peonidin-3-O-glucoside (7), and malvidin-3-O-glucoside (8) based on the fragmentation patterns of HPLC-DADESI/MS analysis.

Anthocyanins of black soybean may play an important role in physiological functions related to human health such as antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and anticancer. The objective of this study was to investigate the profiles of anthocyanin in fourteen black soybean varieties using high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) with photodiode array detector (PAD). In all of the cultivars analyzed totally nine anthocyanins including, CatCy3glc, Dp3gal, Dp3glc, Cy3gal, Cy3glc, Pt3glc, Pg3glc, Pn3glc, and Cy were found. Cy3glc was the major anthocyanin content, represention 69.5% of anthocyanin, followed by Dp3glc (23.0%), Pt3glc (4.9%), Pn3glc (1.2%), and Pg3glc(1.1%), respectively. In contrast, the other five anthocyanins were in very low amounts, below 0.3 % in all varieties. Comparing cultivars and anthocyanin compositions, Geomjeong 2, Cheongja 2, and Cheongja 3 were found to content 9 anthocyanins. Geomjeong 1 and Seonheuk contented CatCy3glc, Cy3gal, Cy3glc, and Pn3glc. The variation of total anthocyanin concentration were significant for soybean cultivars. Geomjeong 2 showed highest average total anthocyanin content (17,937.8 ㎍/g seed coat), and Tawonkong and Heugcheong had the lowest total anthocyanin values (2,835.7 and 2,853.1 ㎍/g seed coat, respectively).
