        Giving a planar graph G, let $x^'_l(G)$ and $x^{''}_l(G)$ denote the list edge chromatic number and list total chromatic number of G respectively. It is proved that if a planar graph G without 6-cycles with chord, then $x^'_l(G){\leq}{\Delta}(G)+1$ and $x^{''}_l(G){\leq}{\Delta}(G)+2$ where ${\Delta}(G){\geq}6$.

        Interval Estimation for Discrete-time Descriptor System Based on Zonotopic Kalman Filter

        This paper investigates the problem of interval estimation for discrete-time linear descriptor systems subject to unknown-but-bounded uncertainties. Based on prediction-correction mechanism, we proposed a twostep interval estimator to over-estimate the bounds of the system states. To reduce the conservatism, a novel parameterization-based approach is presented. Besides, by using a Frobenius norm-based minimization approach, optimal correction is calculated. Compared to the volume criterion, the computational efficiency is greatly enhanced. Finally, two numerical examples are presented to illustrate the efficiency and potential application of the proposed approach.

        Real-time Measurement of Full Field Retardation Near Quarter Wavelength

        A real-time method to measure full field retardation near quarter wavelength is proposed. The circularly polarized beam passes through a sample with a large aperture. The measuring beam then goes through a quarter-wave plate and is then split by a Wollaston prism. An image with two sub-images is then detected by a high-speed image sensor. The full field retardation near quarter wavelength can be obtained in real time by processing the image. The measured retardation is independent of the fast axis angle of the sample and the fluctuation of the initial intensity. In experiments, a wedge waveplate is measured with different fast axis angle and initial intensity, and the full field retardations are acquired. The maximum and standard deviation of the full field retardation is 1.5° and 0.4°. The validity of the method is verified.

        Long Non-Coding RNA NORAD Inhibits Breast Cancer Cell Proliferation and Metastasis by Regulating miR-155-5p/SOCS1 Axis

        Purpose: Non-coding RNA activated by DNA damage (NORAD) has been reported to be a cancer-related long non-coding RNA (lncRNA) implicated in the progression of several cancers; however, its role in breast cancer (BC) has not yet been clarified. Methods: Quantitative real-time polymerase chain reaction was used to examine NORAD, microRNA (miR)-155-5p, and suppressor of cytokine signaling 1 (SOCS1) mRNA expression levels. Western blotting was used to analyze SOCS1 protein expression. The malignancy of BC cells was assessed using the cell counting kit-8 (CCK-8), BrdU, and Transwell assays. Bioinformatics analysis, RNA immunoprecipitation assay, and dual-luciferase reporter gene assays were used to verify the targeted relationship between NORAD and miR-155-5p. Additionally, the regulatory effects of NORAD and miR-155-5p on SOCS1 expression were determined by western blotting. Results: NORAD expression was significantly reduced in BC cell lines and tissues, and its low expression was associated with poor tumor tissue differentiation. NORAD overexpression repressed BC cell proliferation, migration, and invasion, whereas its knockdown produced the opposite effects. Additionally, miR-155-5p was found to be a target of NORAD, and the biological functions of miR-155-5p and NORAD were counteractive. MiR-155-5p was confirmed to target SOCS1, and SOCS1 was found to be positively regulated by NORAD. Conclusion: NORAD suppresses miR-155-5p to upregulate SOCS1, thereby repressing the proliferation, migration, and invasion of BC cells.

        A Secure MQAM Scheme Based on Signal Constellation Hopping

        In this paper, a secure multilevel quadrature amplitude modulation (MQAM) scheme is proposed for the physical layer security (PLS) of the wireless communications. In the proposed scheme, each transmitted symbol`s signal constellation (SC) is hopping with the control of two unique factors: amplitude distortion (AD) factor and phase hopping (PH) factor. With unknown the two factors, the eavesdropper cannot extract effective information from the received signal. We first introduce a security metric, referred to as secrecy gain, and drive a lower bound on the gain that the secrecy capacity can be improved. Then, we investigate the relationship among the secrecy gain, the signal to noise power ratios (SNRs) of the main and wiretap channels, and the secrecy capacity. Next, we analyze the security of the proposed scheme, and the results indicate that the secrecy capacity is improved by our scheme. Specifically, a positive secrecy capacity is always obtained, whether the quality of the main channel is better than that of the wiretap channel or not. Finally, the numerical results are provided to prove the analytical work, which further suggests the security of the proposed scheme..

        MicroRNA-130a Increases and Predicts Cardiotoxicity during Adjuvant Chemotherapy in Human Epidermal Growth Factor Receptor-2-Positive Breast Cancer

        Purpose: This study aimed to investigate the changes in microRNA-130a (miR-130a) and its correlation with cardiotoxicity during epirubicin/cyclophosphamide followed by docetaxel plus trastuzumab (EC-D+T) adjuvant chemotherapy in human epidermal growth factor receptor-2-positive (HER2+ ) breast cancer patients. Methods: A total of 72 HER2+ breast cancer patients who underwent resection and were scheduled to receive EC-D+T adjuvant therapy were consecutively enrolled. The expression of miR-130a and cardiotoxicity (defined as any of the following situations: 1) absolute decline of left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF) ≥ 10% and LVEF < 53%; 2) heart failure; 3) acute coronary artery syndromes; and 4) fatal arrhythmia) were assessed every 3 months throughout the 15-month EC-D+T treatment. Results: The accumulating cardiotoxicity rate was 12 (16.7%), of which the incidence of heart failure, acute coronary syndrome, life-threatening arrhythmias, ΔLVEF ≥ 10%, and LVEF < 53% was 0 (0.0%), 1 (1.4%), 0 (0.0%), and 12 (16.7%), respectively. Baseline miR-130a expression was negatively correlated with LVEF (%) and positively correlated with cardiac troponin I. The expression of miR-130a gradually increased in both cardiotoxicity and noncardiotoxicity patients during EC-D+T treatment, while the increment of miR-130a was more obvious in cardiotoxicity patients compared with non-cardiotoxicity patients. Further logistic regression and receiver operating characteristic curve analysis indicated that miR-130a was an independent predictive factor for increased cardiotoxicity risk. Conclusion: MiR-130a increases constantly and predicts high cardiotoxicity risk during ECD+T adjuvant chemotherapy in HER2+ breast cancer patients.

        Preparation of Covalent and Solvent-resistance Colored Latex Particles and Its Application on Cotton Fabric

        Conventional colored latex particles have poor solvent resistance due to the absence of chemical bonds betweenthe dye and polymer component, resulting in staining and greatly restricting its application. In this research, the disperse dyewas chemically bonded to the polymer to prepare covalent and solvent-resistance colored latex particles. Firstly, C.I. DisperseRed 60, as a common disperse dye in industry, was modified by acryloyl chloride (amidation reaction) for the purpose ofintroducing the C=C bonds. The structure of modified C.I. Disperse Red 60 was confirmed by 1HNMR, FTIR and elementalanalysis and its spectral property was also evaluated. Then the covalent colored latex particles were synthesized via miniemulsioncopolymerization of styrene (St) and ethyl acrylate (EA) in presence of modified C.I. Disperse Red 60 monomer. Results of FTIR, TG, DSC and TEM indicated that the covalent colored latex particles were successfully prepared. By usingUV-spectroscopy, the solvent resistance of the colored latex membranes in petroleum ether, hexane, cyclohexane, and ethanolwas monitored, respectively. Slight change of the absorption was detected for 10 days, which verified the excellent solventresistance of covalent colored latex membranes. Finally, the prepared colored latex particles were applied on cotton printingin the absence of binder. The results showed that the colored latex particles printed fabric had superior rubbing fastness andsoft hand feel.

        Study of upfront surgery versus neoadjuvant chemotherapy followed by interval debulking surgery for patients with stage IIIC and IV ovarian cancer, SGOG SUNNY (SOC-2) trial concept

        Background: Two randomized phase III trials (EORTC55971 and CHORUS) showed similarprogression-free and overall survival in primary or interval debulking surgery in ovariancancer, however both studies had limitations with lower rate of complete resection and lack ofsurgical qualifications for participating centers. There is no consensus on whether neoadjuvantchemotherapy followed by interval debulking surgery (NACT-IDS) could be a preferred approachin the management of advanced epithelial ovarian cancer (EOC) in the clinical practice. Methods: The Asian SUNNY study is an open-label, multicenter, randomized controlled,phase III trial to compare the effect of primary debulking surgery (PDS) to NACT-IDS instages IIIC and IV EOC, fallopian tube cancer (FTC) or primary peritoneal carcinoma (PPC). The hypothesis is that PDS enhances the survivorship when compared with NACT-IDS inadvanced ovarian cancer. The primary objective is to clarify the role of PDS and NACT-IDS inthe treatment of advanced ovarian cancer. Surgical quality assures include at least 50% of nogross residual (NGR) in PDS group in all centers and participating centers should be nationalcancer centers or designed ovarian cancer section or those with the experience participatingsurgical trials of ovarian cancer. Any participating center should be monitored evaluatingthe proportions of NGR by a training set. The aim of the surgery in both arms is maximalcytoreduction. Tumor burden of the disease is evaluated by diagnostic laparoscopy orpositron emission tomography/computed tomography scan. Patients assigned to PDS groupwill undergo upfront maximal cytoreductive surgery within 3 weeks after biopsy, followed by6 cycles of standard adjuvant chemotherapy. Patients assigned to NACT group will undergo 3cycles of NACT-IDS, and subsequently 3 cycles of adjuvant chemotherapy. The maximal timeinterval between IDS and the initiation of adjuvant chemotherapy is 8 weeks. Major inclusioncriteria are pathologic confirmed stage IIIC and IV EOC, FTC or PPC; ECOG performancestatus of 0 to 2; ASA score of 1 to 2. Major exclusion criteria are non-epithelial tumors as wellas borderline tumors; low-grade carcinoma; mucinous ovarian cancer. The sample size is 456subjects. Primary endpoint is overall survival.
