      • Can Parasite succeed indeed in China?

        In order to predict the popular success of Parasite in China, I planned an audience analysis based on comments on the Weibo post of Parasite to understand how Chinese public interpreted the movie. About 1,200 online comments were analyzed, collected from 3,875 comments of the post named ‘Parasite Team Cheong Wa Dae luncheon’. Among the comments on the post, the comments with more than 50 ‘comments under the comment(CC)’ were selected as ‘important comments’ and CC with more than 100 likes were selected as ‘important CC’. Both ‘important comments’ and ‘important CC’ were the main objects of analysis. The reason I chose these comments is that more than 50 CC means the comments are highly likely to be ‘controversial comments’ that provoke arguments. Plus, because CC with more than 100 likes are opinions with the consent from majority, they could reflect the thoughts of Chinese online users. Therefore, through text analysis of these ‘important comments’ and ‘important CC’, this paper categorizes the discussions on Parasite in China and looks into the spectrum of various views. It also analyzes the views of Chinese online users on Parasite and examines the possibility of Parasite being successful in the Chinese film market suggesting questions such as “Would it have been possible to be released in China if it had not been for the ban on the Korean Wave?” and “If so, would it have been successful at the box office?”

        창의적 소비에 대한 유튜브 비디오 네트워크의 특성과 댓글을 통한 소비자 반응 분석: Ikea hack을 중심으로

        Lately creative consumers have increased, who use products differently from original usage or recommended methods. Some of them make their own how-to videos of creative consumption, upload them on social media networks such as YouTube, and share them with those who have similar interests. The current study aims to investigate consumers’ reactions to creative consumption videos by examining Ikea hack video networks on YouTube and by analyzing comments written on the videos. For this aim, we collected 500 videos using the keyword ‘Ikea hack’ with NodeXL and analyzed the video network commented by the same user. We also collected 6,800 comments written to the most viewed and commented video. The co-occurrence of words in the comments was analyzed for semantic network analysis and topic modelling. For analysis, we collected a video network consisting of 494 video nodes and 273 unique links. The density of the network is 0.002 and clustering coefficient is 0.133, showing loosely connected network. To understand the characteristics of the network, centrality and performance (i.e., the number of views, comments, likes and dislikes) indices were obtained, and the network was visualized with different methods and grouped into small clusters. The results show that those who write comments do so selectively on videos that fit their interests, forming small clusters, and there are two groups of people, those who produce and upload videos and those who consume the videos and react to them by writing comments. The content analyses of the comments show that people express their surprises and compliments on excellent Ikea hack ideas. Communication is mostly about emotional support and information exchange. Communication through comments lets users feel sense of belonging to implicit community formed by people who share similar interests and encourages the idea of creative consumption to be diffused throughout the world. 제품의 원래 용도나 사용방식과 다르게 자신만의 창의적인 방식으로 소비를 하는 소비자들이 늘어나고 있다. 이런 소비자들은 자신의 창의적 소비방식을 유튜브와 같은 소셜 미디어 네트워크에 동영상으로 올리고 이를 비슷한 관심을 가진 다른 소비자와 공유한다. 본 연구에서는 이케아 제품을 새롭게 자신만의 제품으로 만드는(Ikea hack) 유튜브 비디오 네트워크를 분석하고 이런 동영상에 남겨진 댓글을 분석하여 창의적 소비 영상에 대한 소비자 반응을 조사하고자 하였다. 이를 위해, NodeXL을 통해 Ikea hack이라는 주제어를 가지고 동일 사용자가 댓글을 남긴 비디오 네트워크로 500여 개의 동영상을 수집하여 이를 분석하였다. 이들 동영상 중 가장 많은 조회 수와 댓글을 가진 한 동영상의 6,800여 개 댓글을 수집하여 단어의 공출현 분석을 통해 의미연결망 분석과 토픽 모델링을 실시하였다. 그 결과 494개의 동영상 노드와 273개의 고유 링크로 이루어진 네트워크를 수집하였다. 수집된 네트워크의 밀도는 0.002, 평균 군집화 계수는 0.133로 낮게 나타났다. 여러 방법으로 네트워크 그래프를 시각화하고 군집화 분석을 한 결과, 댓글을 남기는 사람들의 경우 많은 동영상에 댓글을 남기기보다 자신이 관심을 가지고 있는 일부 동영상에 주로 댓글을 남김을 볼 수 있었고, 동영상을 게시한 사람들과 동영상을 시청하며 댓글을 남기는 사람들이 구분됨을 알 수 있었다. 댓글은 동영상이 보여주는 멋진 hack 아이디어에 놀라움이나 찬사를 표현하거나 관련 질문을 하거나 비슷한 자신의 경험을 공유하는 등의 내용들이 주를 이루고 있어 주로 정서적 지지를 하거나 정보 교환적임을 볼 수 있었다. 한 영상을 두고 일어나는 이와 같은 댓글 소통은 같은 관심사를 가진 사람들 간에 암묵적인 커뮤니티가 형성되도록 하고 창의적 소비가 확산되는 데에 큰 역할을 하는 것으로 보인다.

        텍스트마이닝 기법을 통해 본 4⋅3 담론 분석 - 유튜브 댓글을 중심으로

        이 논문은 태영호 의원의 4⋅3 관련 망언을 계기로 온라인 공간에서는 ‘제주 4⋅3사건’을 어떻게 인식하고 있는지를 밝히는 것이다. 이를 위해 유튜브 채널에서 ‘제주 4⋅3사건’을 키워드로 검색한 유튜브 10개 채널에 달린 댓글을 수집하여 텍스트마이닝 분석을 실시했다. 분석 댓글은 검색일 2023년 3월 14일 기준으로 수집한 댓글 1만 3,964건이다. 빈도 분석, 토픽 분석, 의미망 분석을 시도했다. 그 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 댓글을 통해 본 제주 4ㆍ3에 대한 인식은 이른바 ‘김일성의 지시에 의한 반란 또는 폭동’보다는 4ㆍ3사건의 진실 규명과 4ㆍ3이 발생했던 당시 시대 상황에 대한 논의들에 집중되고 있다. 둘째, 이승만 정권의 제주인에 대한 일련의 조치(학살)에 대해 자유대한민국 건설과 빨갱이(남로당)들로부터 제주도를 구하기 위한 과정에서 발생한 어쩔 수 없는 행위로 정당화한다. 하지만 동시에 사건이 일단락된 후에도 여전히 그 희생자들을 ‘폭도화’하는 담론에 대해서는 비판적인 모습을 보인다. 셋째, 4ㆍ3 관련 댓글에는 직접적인 혐오표현이 등장한다. ‘빨갱이’, ‘역사연예인,’ ‘썰구라’, ‘문재앙’, ‘제동’, ‘국민의짐’, ‘전라디안’, ‘폭도떼’, ‘거지떼’, ‘병신’, ‘좌빨’, ‘제주놈’, ‘섬놈’, ‘섬새끼’, ‘섬것들’, ‘기레기’, ‘개독교’ 등 혐오 표현과 욕설 등이 무차별적으로 게시되었다. 넷째, ‘남로당에 의한 폭동’이라는 논리가 하나의 흐름으로 작동하고 있다. 이 논리는 4ㆍ3에 대한 국가 차원의 의미화 작업이나 대중들에게 4ㆍ3을 알리는 일련의 행위에 대해 강한 적의(敵意)를 내보이는데, 이는 다양한 채널에서 반복적인 형태로 제시되고 있다. 이 글은 댓글에 대한 감정 분석을 시도하지 않았다는 점에서 한계를 지니고 있지만, 그럼에도 불구하고 4ㆍ3의 새로운 해석을 위해서 텍스트마이닝을 활용했 다 점에서 의의가 있다. 지금 4ㆍ3은 자신과 다른 생각과 마주하는 용기가 필요하 다. 추후 연구를 통해 보완되기를 기대한다. This paper aims to shed light on how the “Jeju 4⋅3 Incident” is perceived in online spaces, in light of Representative Tae young Ho’s controversial remarks regarding the incident. To achieve this, textmining analysis was conducted on comments posted on the top 10 YouTube channels appearing in search results for the keyword ‘Jeju 4⋅3 Incident’. A total of 13,964 comments were collected from April 3rd, 2018, to March 14th, 2023. Frequency analysis, topic analysis, and semantic network analysis were attempted, yielding the following results: Firstly, comments primarily focus on discussions surrounding the truth of the Jeju 4ㆍ3 Incident and the socio-political context of that time, rather than framing it as a rebellion or riot orchestrated by Kim Il-sung. Secondly, actions (massacres) taken against Jeju residents by the Syngman Rhee regime are justified as inevitable measures to secure Jeju Island from the construction of a free democratic Republic of Korea and communist forces (the Southern Workers’ Party). However, criticism is evident towards discourse that continues to vilify the victims as ‘rioters’ even after the incident was resolved. Thirdly, direct expressions of hate are present in comments related to the 4ㆍ3 Incident, with indiscriminate use of derogatory terms and insults such as ‘communist’, ‘history entertainer’, ‘leftist’, ‘censorship’, ‘national burden’, ‘Jeolla radical’, ‘rioter gang’, ‘beggar gang’, ‘retard’, ‘left-winger’, ‘Jeju bastard’, ‘island bastard’, ‘island brat’, ‘island people’, ‘trash journalist’, ‘Protestant Christian’, etc. Fourthly, there is a prevailing narrative of the incident being a ‘riot by the Southern Workers’ Party’, which manifests as strong animosity towards national-level efforts to commemorate the 4ㆍ3 Incident or educate the public about it. This narrative is repeatedly presented across various channels. While this paper did not attempt sentiment analysis of the comments, it still holds significance in utilizing text mining techniques to offer new interpretations of the 4ㆍ3 Incident. It underscores the need for courage to engage with differing perspectives on the incident. It is hoped that future research will further complement this analysis.

        온라인 먹방(먹는 방송, Mukbang)의 댓글 연구 : 식행동 관련 인식에 대한 빅데이터 분석

        The purpose of this study was to examine viewers comments on how popular online eating show (Mukbang) videos influence viewers perceptions and lead to unhealthy eating behaviors. So far, previous studies have focused on the currently widespread phenomenon of Mukbang and qualitative interpretation of viewers’ experiences. However, not many studies have investigated viewers actual conscious responses to Mukbang content. To examine how online Mukbang content influences viewers perceptions of unhealthy eating behavior, it was necessary to explore viewers comments according to the characteristics of the content. This study is differentiated from previous Mukbang-related studies because it investigated viewers comment responses on popular online Mukbang content with big data analysis. This study posed three research questions as follows: first, what are the most frequently used expressions in online Mukbang content comments? Second, are there any differences between the comments for healthy food eating content and those for unhealthy food eating content? What is the commenters favorability toward Mukbang YouTubers? Third, are there any differences between the comments for healthy eating behavior content and those for unhealthy eating behavior content? What is the commenters favorability toward Mukbang YouTubers? A total of 72,721 viewer comments on thirty-six popular YouTube Mukbang videos uploaded between July 2018 and June 2019 were collected and analyzed. The expressive characteristics of the collected comment responses, comments related to the exposure of unhealthy eating behavior, and comments related to the favorability of Mukbang YouTubers were examined. This study found that viewer comments showed an overall positive response regarding Mukbang videos influence on eating behavior and appetite. However, viewer comments were negative as well as positive on both Mukbang videos including unhealthy eating behavior and food. Expressions of favorability toward popular Mukbang YouTubers were also observed. This result is similar to previous studies that showed that food and eating behavior media content could influence viewers unhealthy eating behavior. However, this study showed viewers negative expressions as well as positive expressions on unhealthy eating content, suggesting differentiated insights from other studies. It could be interpreted that Mukbang content including healthy eating behavior is more popular with viewers. Meanwhile, the favorability and frequent response expressions toward online Mukbang YouTubers show a similar result with previous studies - Asian Mukbang viewers tend to watch content based on the attractiveness of the YouTuber. It could be assumed that popular YouTubers food decisions and eating behavior scenes could influence viewers eating behavior. Finally, this study shows the influence of online Mukbang videos and provides essential insights into Mukbang content creators in the area of social responsibility.

        소셜미디어 뉴스를 이용한 관심 이슈 연구

        Purpose Recently, as a new business marketing tool, short form content focused on fun and interest has been shared as hashtags. By extracting positive and negative keywords from media audiences through comment analysis of social media news, various stakeholders aim to quickly and easily grasp users' opinions on major news. Design/methodology/approach YouTube videos were searched using the YouTube Data API and the results were collected. Video comments were crawled and implemented as HTML elements, and the collection results were checked on the web page. The collected data consisted of video thumbnails, titles, contents, and comments. Comments were word tokenized with the R program, comparing positive and negative dictionaries, and then quantifying polarity. In addition, social network analysis was conducted using divided positive and negative comments, and the results of centrality analysis and visualization were confirmed. Findings Social media users' opinions on issue news were confirmed by analyzing and visualizing the centrality of keywords through social network analysis by dividing comments into positive and negative. As a result of the analysis, it was found that negative objective reviews had the highest effect on information usefulness. In this way, previous studies have been reaffirmed that online negative information has a strong effect on personal decision-making. Corporate marketers will analyze user comments on social network services (SNS) to detect negative opinions about products or corporate images, which will serve as an opportunity to satisfy customers' needs.

        형태소 분석을 통한 악성 댓글 필터링 방안

        인터넷 기사에 대한 댓글은 토론 및 소통 등 긍정적 효과도 있지만, 악성 댓글은 사람의 목숨을 앗아가는 정도로 심각한 문제이다. 이런 측면에서 악성 댓글을 자동으로 검출하는 것은 중요한 문제이다. 그러나 현재 채택되고 있는 금칙어 바탕의 댓글 필터 방안은, 특히 한글 댓글의 경우 효과적이지 못한 실정이다. 이 논문에서는 형태소 분석을 통해 비속어 형태소와 존대어 형태소를 구별함으로써 댓글 필터링을 수행하는 방법을 제안한다. 이들 두 형태소를 바탕으로 댓글 건전도를 계산하고, 또한 건전도를 바탕으로 한 댓글 충격량 계산방법을 여럿 제안한다. 악성 댓글을 대상으로 한 실험을 수행한 결과, 포털에서 수행되고 있는 클린봇보다 재현율이 37.93% 포인트 개선되었으며 F-지수 값은 47.66 포인트 개선된 것으로 나타났다. 이 결과에 따르면, 형태소 분석을 기초로 한 새로운 필터 방법이 금칙어를 바탕으로 한 방법의 좋은 대안이 될 수 있을 것으로 기대된다. Even though the replying comments on Internet articles have positive effects on discussions and communications, the malicious comments are still the source of problems even driving people to death. Automatic detection of malicious comments is important in this respect. However, the current filtering method of the malicious comments, based on forbidden words, is not so effective, especially for the replying comments written in Korean. This paper proposes a new filtering approach based on morpheme analysis, identifying coarse and polite morphemes. Based on these two groups of morphemes, the soundness of comments can be calculated. Further, this paper proposes various impact measures for comments, based on the soundness. According to the experiments on malicious comments, one of the impact measures is effective for detecting malicious comments. Comparing our method with the clean-bot of a portal site, the recall is enhanced by 37.93% point and F-measure is also enhanced up to 47.66 points. According to this result, it is highly expected that the new filtering method based on morpheme analysis can be a promising alternative to those based on forbidden words.

        온라인 뉴스 사이트에서의 일반댓글과 소셜댓글의 비교분석

        온라인 뉴스에서 개인의 참여가 활성화 되면서 댓글의 중요성이 부각되고 있다. 최근엔 개인의 SNS(social networking site) 계정을 이용하여 댓글을 게재할 수 있는 소셜댓글 서비스가 활성화 되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 실제 온라인 뉴스 댓글 현황 데이터를 이용하여 (1) 댓글의 일반적 특성요소 중 일반댓글과 소셜댓글이 차이점을 보일 가능성이 있는 요소를 도출한 후, (2) 일반댓글에 비해 소셜댓글이 각 특성요소 별로 어떻게 다른지 비교 분석하고, 마지막으로 (3) 소셜댓글 이용 업체별로 각 특성요소가 어떻게 달라지는지를 실증 분석해보았다. 이를 위해 기존문헌 조사 및 전문가 인터뷰를 진행하여 여섯 가지 특성요소를 도출하였다. 다음으로 SPSS Statistics의 t-test의 분석 방법을 사용하여, 소셜댓글과 일반댓글이 모든 요소에서 유의한 차이를 보임을 확인하였고, ANOVA와 Duncan test 결과 트위터와 페이스북 그룹 간 차이가 유의함을 확인하였다. 본 연구를 통해 소셜댓글의 실제적인 가치를 명확히 파악할 수 있을 뿐만 아니라, 소셜댓글을 이용한 악성댓글 문제 해결에 실마리를 제공하고, 개인, 기업, 정부기관 등을 주체로 다른 분야의 적용가능성도 살펴볼 수 있을 것으로 기대한다. As the individual participation in online news sites proliferates, the importance of online news comments has been increasing. Social comment services which help people leave comments on news articles using their own SNS (social networking site) accounts have gained popularity recently. Using data gathered from an online news site, this study, therefore, (1) identifies factors differentiating social comments from general comments, (2) examines how social comments are significantly different from general comments in terms of each factor, (3) and further validates how the social comments’ characteristics vary among different type of SNS. Then, we investigated this study by applying t-test, ANOVA, and Duncan test of SPSS Statistics. Our results provide insights on the significant differences in all the factors between general and social comments. We also found that there is a significant difference between Facebook and Twitter groups among three types of SNS. The findings of this study would help assess the actual benefit of social comment services as they may provide us with several valuable leads to solve the malicious comments issue. Moreover, they would suggest the need to apply this service to other areas, such as online environments in private and public sectors.

        온라인 기반 낙태 이슈 변화 분석

        본 연구는 온라인상의 낙태 관련 이슈를 텍스트 마이닝 분석 기법으로 분석하였다. 분석 대상은 네이버 뉴스와 댓글이며, 분석 기간은 2011년 1월부터 2017년 11월까지이다. 주요 문제로는 낙태에 대한 인식 주체와 주요 사안, 그 외 주요 이슈에 대한 대응을 분석하고자 했다. 분석 결과, 뉴스의 경우 전반적으로 낙태에 대한 반대 관점이 많았으며, 초기에는 생명존중과 전통적인 가족주의 입장이 주였다면 최근은 낙태죄 폐지 국민청원과 여성단체의 낙태죄 폐지 활동이 주목받으면서 이들의 입장이 대변되고 있었다. 그러나 댓글의 경우 전반적으로 낙태는 살인이라는 입장이 많았으며, 초기는 뉴스와 같은 메시지가 댓글에서도 나타났지만, 최근의 경우 군대 문제나 동성애 등이 낙태 문제에서 함께 나타나고 있어 남성의 역차별 제기나 낙태 이슈가 전반적인 여성의 권리 증진 문제로 인식하여 부정적인 견해가 많았다. 즉 낙태죄 폐지 이슈를 양성 갈등의 문제로 댓글에서 대응하고 있어 정치 사회적 갈등 해소를 위한 노력이 필요하다. This study analyzed the online abortion - related issues by text mining analysis technique. The analysis target is Naver News and Comments, and the analysis period is from January 2011 to November 2017. The major problems were to analyze the responses to abortion awareness, and other major issues. As a result of the analysis, in the case of news, there were many views against abortion as a whole. In the early days, respect for life and traditional family stance was central. Recently, the abolition of the abortion crime and the abolition of abortion by the women s organizations have received much attention. However, in the case of comments, abortion was generally regarded as murder. Initially, messages similar to news appeared in comments. In recent years, military problems and homosexuality have appeared together in the abortion problem, and there were many negative views on men s discrimination and abortion issues as a general problem of women s rights promotion. In other words, the issue of abolition of abortion is responded to by the issue of positive conflict, so efforts to resolve political and social conflicts are needed in the future.

        Complementing Amalgam Clefts

        This study introduces the following English amalgam cleft and attempts to offer an adequate analysis for this construction: He needs a break is what he needs. One popular analysis posits a Topic-Comment structure in which this sentence consists of two independent finite clauses linked by the copula is. This study, however, observes that the apparent finite clause preceding the copula displays the properties of the root clause and thus claims that this part is not really an independent clause linked with the following wh-clause. Under the Topic-Comment analysis, the copula is regarded as a Topic marker. But this study claims that it is a usual copula that appears in clefts in general. The analysis that reflects the above claims is offered as follows: He needs [FocP a break [TP pro is [what he needs] TP] FocP]. This structure well captures the fact that the [DP a break] is understood as the direct object of the matrix verb need as well as the subject of the copula is. The discussion of the study advocates for the direct complementation analysis involving FocP, against the previous Topic-Comment analysis. Further, this study extends the proposed analysis to a similar construction named subject contact relatives, showing that amalgamation of the two apparent clauses is in fact widely made through FocP complementation.
