      • 니세틸 정(아세틸-엘-카르니틴 500 mg)에 대한 뉴로세틸 정의 생물학적 동등성

        Acetyl-L-carnitine (ALC), an endogenous component of the L-carnitine family, is naturally occurring molecule synthesized from L-carnitine (LC) by carnitine acetyl transferase. ALC has been shown to improve the cognitive performance of patients suffering from dementia of the Alzheimer's type and proposed for treating Alzheimer's disease in pharmacological doses. The purpose of the present study was to evaluate the bioequivalence of two ALC tablets, Nicetiler^TM (Dong-A pharmaceutical Co., Ltd.) and Neurocetil^TM (Kyung-Dong Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd.), according to the guidelines of Korea Food and Drug Administration. Twenty six normal male volunteers, 22.80±2.76 year in age and 63.07 7.98㎏ in body weight, were divided into two groups and a randomized 2×2 cross-over study was employed. After one tablet containing 500㎎ of ALC was orally administered, blood was taken at predetermined time intervals and the concentrations of ALC in serum were determined using HPLC with fluorescence detector. Because of the presence of endogenous ALC, the calibration was performed using dialyzed serum. Pharmacokinetic parameters such as AUC_t, C_max and T_max were calculated and ANOVA was utilized for the statistical analysis of the parameters. The results showed that the differences in AUC_t, C_max and T_max between two tablets were 2.72%, -0.65% and -8.42%, respectively, when calculated against the Nicetile^TM tablet. The powers (1-β) for AUC_t and C_max were 94.87% and 87.17%, respectively. Minimum detectable differences (Δ) at α=0.05 and 1-β=0.8 were less than 20% (e.g., 15.58% and 19.16% AUC_t and C_max, respectively). The 90% confidence intervals were within ±20% (e.g., -11.84∼6.41 and -10.57∼11.88 for AUC_t and C_max, respectively). Two parameters met the criteria of KFDA for bioequivalence, indicating that Neurocetil^TM tablet is bioequivalent to Nicetile^TM tablet.

      • 도시지역 보건사업에서 컴퓨터의 활용방안에 관한 연구

        Nacessity of new communication media in information society is repidly increasing in many fields of Korea. It includes the field of primary helath care in the courses of collecting informations on demographic feature, social characteristics and health behavior of peoples. In light of above reasons, the authors attempted to utilize personal computers for the primary health services to promote health of unban people as a pilot study in Guro-6- Dong, Seoul. Five nurses working in Guro-6-Dong Health Subcenter completed family health records of 3,930 households among the total of 4,270. A total of 3,904 family health records among 3,930 were computerized and sorted out in categories of population characteristics, population dymanics, characteristics of householders, housing, family planning, maternal and child health(M.C.H), health status of residents and of others. Names of risky category in M.C.H, and family planning were listed and the lists were handed to the nurses concerned in order to practice proper cares in time. Sorted data were compared with ones of City of Seoul, average of other cities, and ones of nationwide. With the results of above practice, in terms of utilization of computer in uban primary health sevices, the following strategy was proposed. In order to provide proper health services the unban people demanded, efficient devices of information collection, processing and interpretation systems on health were urgently needed in every dong unit(health subcenter) of health centers. Recommended was personal computer network as a new communication media. Additional advantages of the devices were continuity and efficiency in services, and utilization in evaluation of health services and analysis of cost -effectiveness.

        Effect of treadmill exercise on skeletal muscle autophagy in rats with obesity induced by a high-fat diet Do Keun Cho1

        [Purpose] This study aimed to investigate the effects of treadmill exercise on body weight, blood biochemistry, and autophagy. [Methods] Triglyceride, total cholesterol, low-density lipoprotein cholesterol, high-density lipoprotein cholesterol, insulin, and glucose levels were measured, the Homeostatic Model Assessment of Insulin Resistance (HOMA-IR) score was calculated, and the soleus muscle was analyzed for autophagy- related factors (Beclin-1, p62, LC3, Lamp- 2) in rats with obesity induced by a high-fat diet. Eight-week-old Sprague Dawley rats were fed a high-fat diet for 35 weeks and then subjected to 10 weeks of treadmill exercise. The experimental group was divided into a Normal Diet-Sedentary (ND-SED, n=8) group, an (High-Fat Diet-Sedentary (HF-SED, n=8) group, and an High-Fat Diet + Treadmill Exercise (HF-TE, n=8) group. The intensity of treadmill exercise was set as 8 m/min for 5 min, 11 m/min for 5 min, 15 m/min for 20 min, and 11 m/min for the last 5 minutes. A glucose tolerance test was performed at the 2nd and 8th week of exercise by sampling of tail blood. [Results] With endurance exercise, the HFTE group showed a significant decrease in body weight, with improved blood biochemical indices and HOMA-IR scores, in comparison with the HF-SED group. However, there was no significant difference in Beclin-1, p62, LC3, and Lamp-2 proteins as measured by autophagic flux in the soleus muscle. [Conclusion] Treadmill exercise induced improvements in body weight, body fat, and biochemical indicators of obesity and Type 2 diabetes, but had no effect on autophagy in soleus muscle.

      • 디클로로메탄 폭로 광학렌즈 제조업 근로자들의 혈액성상 및 자각증상

        This study was performed to find out the changes of hematological values, enzyme activities, and complain rates of subjective symptoms according to the Dichloromethane(DCM) exposure in optical lens manufacturing workers. The DCM exposed workers were divided into 3 groups that were consisted of the washing, setting and seperating group, and analyzed the DCM levels, hematological values(WBC, RBC, Hb, Hct), enzyme activities (s-GOT, s-GPT, TG and TC), and surveyed the subjective symptoms from 42 DCM exposed workers who worked in Taejon city and Chungnam provincial areas from Feb.1 to 18, 1996. The results were as follows: The mean values of DCM were significantly different from working process, that was 19.62±6.29ppm in washing, 25.08±8.27ppm in setting, 43.46±18.65ppm in seperating process. And the DCM exposed levels showed a tendency to increase when job tenure was longer and ventilation was worse. The values of WBC, RBC, s-GOT and TG were significantly increased according to the increase of DCM exposed levels. The complain rates of subjective symptoms of DCM exposed workers were high rates such as "heaviness", "sleepiness","nausea and vomiting". "decrease eye-sight", "hand tremor" and "dyspnea", respectively. The correlation between DCM exposed levels, and WBC, RBC and s-GOT were significantly different, respectively.

      • 레보프라이드 정(레보설피리드 25 mg)에 대한 레보피드 정의 생물학적 동등성

        Levosulpiride is the levo-enantiomer form of racemic sulpiride, a benzamide derivative selectively inhibiting dopaminergic D_2 receptors at the trigger zone both in the central nervous system and in the gastrointestinal tract. The purpose of the present study was to evaluate the bioequivalence of two levousulpiride tablets. Levopride (SK Pharmaceutical Co. Ltd.) and Levopid (Dae Won Pharmaceutical Co. Ltd.), according to the guidelines of Korea Food and Drug Administration (KFDA). The levosulpiride release from the two levosulpiride tablets in vitro was tested using KP Ⅶ Apparatus Ⅱ method with various different kinds of dissolution media (pH 1.2, 4.0, 6.8 buffer solution and water). Twenty eight normal male volunteers, 23.82 ±3.26 years in age and 69.13 ±8.58 ㎏ in body weight, were divided into two groups and a randomized 2×2 cross-over study was employed. After one tablet containing 2.5 ㎎ of levousulpiride was orally administered, blood was taken at predetermined time intervals and the concentrations of lovosulpiride in serum were determined using HPLC method with fluorescence detector. The dissolution profiles of two levosulpiride tablets were very similar at all dissolution media. Besides, the pharmacokinetic parameters such as AUC_t, C_max and T_max were calculated and ANOVA test was utilized for the statistical analysis of the parameters using logarithmically transformed AUC_t, and C_max and untransformed T_max. The results showed that the differences in AUC_t, C_max and T_max between two tablets based in the Levopride were -1.17%, 1.20% and -1.09%, respectively. There were no sequence effects between two tablets in these parameters. The 90% confidence intervals using logarithmically transformed data were within the acceptance range of log(0.8) to log(1.25) (e.g., log(0.93)∼log(1.07) and log(0.90)∼log(1.14) for AUC_t and C_max, respectively). The 90% confidence interval using untransformed data was within ±20% (e.g., -19.47 ∼16.20 for T_max). All parameters met the criteria of KFDA guideline for bioequivalence, indicating that Levopid tablet is bioequivalent to Levopride tablet.

        유한세프라딘 캅셀(세프라딘 500mg)에 대한 브로드세프 캅셀의 생물학적 동등성

        Cephradine is a first generation cephalosporin and has broad spectrum antibacterial activity against gram-positive and gram-negative microorganisms, through inhibition of bacterial cell wall synthesis. Cephradine is useful for treatment of infections of the urinary and respiratory tract, skin and soft tissues. The purpose of the present study was to evaluate the bioequivalence of two cephradine capsules, Cefradine Yuhan(YuHan Corporation) and Broadcef (Ilsung Pharmaceuticals Co. Ltd.), according to the guidelines of Korea Food and Drug Administration (KFDA). The cephradine release from the two cephradine capsules in vitro was tested using KP Ⅶ Apparatus Ⅱ method with various different kinds of dissolution media (pH 1.2, 4.0, 6.8 buffer solution and water). Twenty normal male volunteers, 23.10±2.90 years in age and 67.69±8.04 ㎏ in body weight, were divided into two groups and a randomized 2×2 cross-over study was employed. After one capsule containing 500㎎ as cephradine was orally administered, blood was taken at predetermined time intervals and the concentrations of cephradine in serum were determined using HPLC method with UV detector. The dissolution profiles of two cephradine capsules were very similar at all dissolution media. Besides, the pharmacokinetic parameters such as AUC_t, C_max and T_max were calculated and ANOVA test was utilized for the statistical analysis of the parameters using logarithmically transformed AUC_t and C_max and untransformed T_max. The results showed that the differences in AUC_t C_max and T_max between two capsules based on the Cefradine Yuhan were -2.87%, -0.96% and -4.85%, respectively. There were no sequence effects between two capsules in these parameter. The 90% confidence intervals using logarithmically transformed data were within the acceptance range of log(0.8) to log(1.25) (e.g.,log(0.93)∼log(1.02) and log(0.88)∼log(1.13) for AUC_t and C)max, respectively). The 90% confidence interval using untransformed data was within ±20% (e.g., -17.54∼7.78 for T_max). All parameters met the criteria of KFDA guideline for bioequivalence, indicating that Broadcef capsule is bioequivalent to Cefradine Yuhan capsule.

        Random Amplified Polymorphic DNA Typing에 의한 동물과 사람 유래 Vancomycin 내성 장구균의 유전학적 비교

        It has been recently reported the possibility in the transfer of antimicrobial resistant to other animals and humans. In particular, the occurrence of vancomycin resistant enterococci (VRE), which have been known as a principal antimicrobial resistant bacteria in humans, has been increased as a pathogen of nosocomial infections. And then animal VRE were suspected as an origin of human VRE. In this work, we investigated the relatedness between VRE from animals and humans through random amplified polymorphic DNA (RAPD) typing. The genetic relatedness of vanA, vanB, vanC-1 and vanC-2 genotypes was examined by RAPD typing, respectively. van4 genotypes have not been shown high genetic relationship each other, containing VRE from humans (n = 8) and chickens (n = 5). In vanB genotypes from humans (n = 3), 2 isolates were made up one cluster, shown 77.8% homology. Chicken isolates of vanC-1 genotypes (n = 11) were constituted 2 clusters and the homology of 2 clusters was 81.8% and 80.0%, respectively. In case of vanC-2 genotypes (n = 19), 2 isolates from pigs have been shown 76.9% homology. But, between VRE from animals and humans, the isolates of high genetic relationship could not be found and RAPD typing was a useful epidemiological method that could be confirmed the genetic relationship among VRE.

        To prove the effect of Sagunjantang(SGJT) and Samultang(SMT) extract on the wave of Human Body and Active Oxygen experimentally, QRS & Free Radical of extract and precipitate of SGJT and SMT was measured. The results were summarized as follows; 1.SGJT extract and precipitate, as a result of measuring QRS and Free Radical, had a considerable effect on the function of immunity & pituitary gland. 2.BaekBokRung of SGJT, as a result of measuring QRS and Free Radical, had a considerable effect on the function of heart & spleen. 3.BaekChul and Gamcho of SGJT, as a result of measuring QRS and Free Radical, had a considerable effect on the function of stomach & duodenum. 4.YinSam of SGJT, as a result of measuring QRS and Free Radical, had a considerable effect on the function of immunity & spleen. 5.SMT extract and precipitate, as a result of measuring QRS and Free radical, had a considerable effect on the function of immunity & uterus. 6.SukJiHwang of SMT, as a result of measuring QRS and Free Radical, had a considerable effect on the function of immunity & liver. 7.DangGui of SMT, as a result of measuring QRS and Free Radical, had a considerbale effect on the function of heart & spleen. 8.ChunGung of SMT, as a result of measuring QRS and Free Radical, had a considerbale effect on the function of spleen & pituitary gland. 9.BaekJakYak of SMT, as a result of measuring QRS and Free Radical, had a considerbale effect on the function of stomach & duodenum. 10.SMT extract had an effect on the function of female Urogenital system,SGJT extract had an effect on the function of male Urogenital system. These results suggested that SGJT and SMT extract might be usefully applied for suppresing of Active Oxygen formation, preventing the aging, curing all the disease resulted from Active Oxygen.
