      • Development of Simultaneous Analytical Method for ImidazolinoneHerbicides from Livestock using LC-MSMS

        Simultaneous analytical method using LC/MSMS for imidazolinone herbicides from livestock (egg, milk, beef, pork and chicken) for monitoring was developed with QuEChERS preparation. Sample weighing (5g) in a 50mL conical tube, added 0.1 M potassium phosphate dibasic solution (5mL) was shaken for 10min. After 0.5mL 6 NHCl, 10mL acetonitrile were added, it was shaken for 10min. And QuEChERS extraction salt (Original method, 4g MgSO₄, 1g NaCl) were added to the sample in the 50 mL conical tube. The mixture was strongly shaken for 1 min and was centrifuged at 3,000g for 10 min. The acetonitrile layer was purification with dSPE (150mg MgSO₄, 25mg C18) and was centrifuged at 13,000g for 5min. The supernatant was filtered with a membrane filters (pore size: 0.2um) before analysis. ME (%, Matrix effect) for almost analytes range were -6.56 to 5.70%. MLOD (Method LOD) and MLOQ (Method LOQ) was calculated by S/N ratio. MLOQs were 0.01 mg/kg. The linear correlation coefficients (r2) were > 0.99 within the range of 2 ~ 100 ug/kg for all of the 3 imidazolinone herbicides. The percentages (of imidazolinone herbicides) recovers were in the range of 84.1 ~ 110.6% (0.01mg/kg level), 90.8 ~ 97.1% (0.1mg/kg level) and 94.4 ~ 102.1% (0.5mg/kg level) within the validation criteria (recover; 70-120% with RSD < 20%)

        황구침법(黃丘鍼法)을 이용한 고혈압 환자의 혈압강하 효과에 대한 증례보고

        Objectives: The aim of the study was to investigate the antihypertensive effect of Hwang-gu Acupuncture in hypertensive patients. Methods: We measured the blood pressure of the patients who were admitted in the Oriental Medical Clinic of Brother from 25th November 2005 to 27th March 2006. We included the patients only in case of the systolic blood pressure was over 140mmHg or diastolic blood pressure was over 90mmHg, Twenty two patients were treated by Hwang-gu Acupuncture. In order to evaluate the effect of the Hwang-gu Acupuncture, the blood pressure was measured before and after Acupuncture procedure total 4 times, 10times. Results: There were a significant decrease in the systolic blood pressure and significant decrease in the diastolic blood pressure by Hwang-gu Acupuncture 4 times. The effect of Hwang-gu Acupuncture by measurement time on blood pressure were follows: In a systolic blood pressure was gradually deceased significantly from 1st to 4th but diastolic blood pressure was significantly decreased after 2nd and 4th only. Conclusions: These results suggest that Hwang-gu Acupuncture is effective in decreasing the systolic and diastolic blood pressure.

        Effects of Chungkookjang Extract on Growth Hormone Secretion from GH3 Mouse Pituitary Cell and Growth Hormone Receptor Signaling Pathway

        뇌하수체 전엽에서 성장호르몬의 생산과 분비는 세포의 분열과 분화 그리고 이동을 조절하는 몇 가지 천연물질에 의해 유도된다. 따라서 발효과정을 통해 제조된 청국장이 성장호르몬의 대사에 미치는 영향을 평가하기 위하여 성장호르몬 분비능과 반응성을 뇌하수체 세포와 성장호르몬 표적세포에서 관찰하였다. 6가지 종류의 콩 품종으로 제조된 청국장 추출물 중에서, 대원, 대풍, 태광의 3종류 청국장 추출물은 5 mg/ml 농도에서 GH3 세포로부터 성장호르몬의 분비를 촉진하였다. 비록 세포 생존능은 이러한 추출물에 의해 유의적인 변화가 유도되지 않았으나, 성장호르몬의 분비량은 청국장 추출물의 농도에 의존적으로 증가하였다. 또한 성장호르몬의 표적 기관으로부터 유래된 MG63과 HepG2 세포는 GH3로부터 수집된 조건적 배양액에 의해 유의적으로 활성화되었다. 또한 이러한 세포에서 STAT5 발현은 대원 청국장 추출물을 처리 후, 15분 혹은 30분부터 세포질에서 유의적으로 증가하였으며, p-STAT5는 핵에서 30분 혹은 60분부터 증가하였다. 따라서 이러한 결과는 3가지 종류의 청국장 추출물은 성장호르몬의 분비를 촉진시키며, 청국장의 조건적 배양액은 성장호르몬 표적세포에서 신호전달을 유도함을 제시하고 있다. The production and secretion of growth hormone (GH) in the anterior pituitary gland can be induced by several natural products to control cell proliferation, differentiation, and migration. To investigate whether Chungkookjang (CKJ) produced by the fermentation process affects GH-related metabolism, the secretion and the response of GH were observed in pituitary cells and GH target cells. Among six CKJs manufactured by different strains of glycine max, only three CKJs, including Daewon (DW), Daepung (DP), and Taegwang (TG), induced GH secretion from GH3 cells at 5.0 mg/ml concentration. There were no significant changes detected in the viability of any of the cells treated with these CKJs. In addition, the increase in GH secretion from the GH3 cells was dependent on the concentration of the three types of CKJs. The proliferation of cell lines, including MG63 and HepG2 cells, that originated from those derived from the GH target organs was significantly activated by treatment with the GH-containing conditional medium (GCM) harvested from the three CKJ-treated GH3 cells, although their induction rate was different from each other. In these cells, p-STAT5 was maximally translocated into the nucleus of MG63 cells 30 min after DW treatment, while it was translocated in HepG2 cells at 60 min. These results suggest that these three types of CKJ could enhance the secretion of GH, as well as the GCM-derived response, in the two target organs.

        이동형 스크러버를 이용한 암모니아 및 톨루엔의 제거 효율

        본 연구는 국내에서 다량 취급되고 있는 암모니아 및 톨루엔을 흄 상태로 노출시킨 후 흡수/흡착방법을 달리한 이동형 스크러버를 이용해 각 유해화학물질의 제거효율을 비교 분석하였다. 이동형 스크러버는 기 개발된 장치를 개선하여 와류세정에 의한 흡수, 유입풍속 조절의 장점을 살리고, 활성탄 및 카본필터를 통한 기체상 유해화학물질의 흡착방법 도입을 통해 단점을 보완하였다. 개선된 장치는 기초성능평가를 통해 적정 제어풍속이 검증되었고, 5% 암모니아수 용액을 흄 상태로 노출시켜 후드 흡입부, 송풍기 배출부 및 세정기가 정상 작동함을 확인하였다. 흡수/흡착방법에 따른 암모니아 제거효율은 90분 경과 후 C≥PCA>SWA 순으로 가장 우수한 SWA 군의 노출 농도별 제거 효율은 시간이 경과할수록 노출 농도와 무관하게 배출 농도는 증가되었고, 세정액의 pH는 산성에서 염기성으로 변화되었다. 또한, 시간 경과에 따른 노출 농도 별 세정액의 pH 변화와 배출구 농도 변화 사이에 0.9429~0.9491 수준의 정의 상관관계를 나타내었다. 흡착방법에 따른 톨루엔의 제거 효율은 초기 10분 경과 후 배출구농도에서 C>CMA≥GCA 순을 나타내다 90분 경과까지 일정한 농도로 유지되었다. 가장 우수한 GCA 군의 노출 농도 별 제거 효율은 초기 10분 경과 시 노출 농도에 비례하여 배출 농도가 높은 경향이었다. 이와 같은 결과를 통해 개선된 이동형 스크러버는 중화반응에 의해 산성 또는 염기성 유해화학물질의 제거뿐 아니라, 활성탄 등의 흡착기능 개선을 통해 VOCs 제거에도 효과적이었다. 하지만, 실제 현장에서 활용이 가능하도록 세정액 pH를 지속적으로 유지하여 연속적으로 흡수 제거할 수 있는 방법과 노출되는 화학물질 농도와 흡착제의 관계에서 파괴점, 포화점, 흡착속도 등의 물리적인 요소가 추가적인 연구를 통해 도출되어야 할 것이다. BACKGROUND: The mobile vortex wet scrubber was developed to remove the harmful chemicals from accidental releases. However, there was a disadvantage that it was limitedly used for volatile organic compounds (VOCs) such as toluene according to the physicochemical properties. This study compared the removal efficiencies of an improved mobile scrubber on toluene and ammonia by applying diverse adsorption and absorption methods. METHODS AND RESULTS: The removal efficiencies on harmful chemicals were examined using various adsorption and absorption methods of water vortex process (C), phosphoric acid-impregnated activated carbon adsorption (PCA), pH-controlled water (pH 2.5) vortex process absorption with sulfuric acid (SWA) after ammonia exposure, granular activated carbon adsorption (GCA), and activated carbon mat adsorption (CMA) after toluene exposure. As a result, the best removal efficiency was shown in the SWA for ammonia and GCA for toluene. Also, the SWA and GCA methods were compared with different concentration levels. In the case of ammonia exposure (5, 10 and 25%), there was no difference by concentration levels, and the concentration in the outlet gradually increased, with pH change from acid to base. In the case of toluene exposure (50, 75 and 100%), the outlet concentration was higher relative to the exposure concentration in the initial 10 min, but the outlet concentration was remained steady after 10 min. CONCLUSION: The newly improved mobile scrubber was also effective in removing VOCs through adsorption techniques (activated carbon, activated carbon fiber, carbon mat filter etc.), as well as removing acid-base harmful chemicals by neutralization reaction.

        The investigated area is located 36° 50′ 20″∼36° 51′ 30″ N in latitude at 126° 39′ 20″∼126° 40′ 30″ E in longitude. The investigated vascular plants consist of total 140 taxa: 3 forms, 16 varieties, 2 subspecies, 121 species, 99 genera, 55 families, 32 orders, 5 classes. 8 special plants designated by Ministry of Environment were investigated: 4th grade for 1 taxa, 3rd grade for 1 taxa, 2nd grade for 1 taxa, and 1st grade for 5 taxa. There is two taxa korean endemic plant that is Celtis choseniana Nakai and Saussurea eriophylla Nakai. As for the useful plants, there were 88 taxa of edible ones(62.9%), 65 taxa of medicinal ones(46.4%), 16 taxa of ornamental ones(11.4%), 59 taxa of industrial ones(42.1%), and 3 taxa of poisonous ones(2.1%). Naturalized plants were distributed 4 taxa.

        Abstract - Mt. Yeogye is located 37°10' 10″~37°10' 40″ N in latitude at 127°01' 30″~127° 03' 00″ E in longitude in Gyeonggi-do. The investigated vascular plants consist of total 120 taxa: 1 forms, 16 varieties, 103 species, 87 genera, 37 families, 21 orders, 4 classes. Six special plants designated by Environment Ministry were investigated: 4th grade for 2 taxa, 3rd grade for 1 taxa and 1st grade for 3 taxa. As for the useful plants, there were 55 taxa of edible ones(45.8%), 24 taxa of medicinal ones(20.0%), 11 taxa of ornamental ones(9.2%), 21 taxa of industrial ones(17.5%), and 2 taxa of poisonous ones(1.7%) respectively.

      • 자궁내막증 백서모형에서 Danazol과 Decapeptyl의 치료효과에 관한 연구

        본 연구의 목적은 장간막에 자궁내막 조직을 자가이식하여 수술적으로 유도된 자궁내막증 백서모형에서 자궁내막증의 치료를 위해 danazol과 decapetyl의 치료효과를 평가하는 것이다. 백서(n=48)들은 무작위적으로 정상대조군(n=12)과 수술적으로 유도된 자궁내막증군(n=36)으로 구분하였다. 후자는 비치료군과, danazol 치료군과 decapeptyl 치료군으로 세분하였다(각 군의 n=12). Danazol(8mg/일)은 수술후 4째주부터 구강을 통해 투여되었다. Decapeptyl(0.2mg/2주)은 근주하였다. 처음투약후 10일, 20일, 40일, 60일째에 각군의 2마리의 쥐를 희생시켰다. 저자들은 자궁내막증 이식체와 난소의 크기를 측정하여 다음의 결론를 얻었다. 1. 자궁내막증 이식체의 크기는 비치료군에 비해(3.91±1.08mm) danazol 치료군과 decapeptyl치료군에서 (각각2.28±0.17mm 과 2.78±0.97mm), 현저히 감소되었다(p<0.01). 2. danazol과 decapeptyl 두 치료군에서 장기치료가 단기치료보다 자궁내막증 이식체의 크기를 감소시키는데 더 효과적이었다(p<0.01). 3. 난소의 크기는 정상대조군과, 비치료군과 decapeptyl 치료군에서 유의하게 차이를 보이지 않은데 반해(각각 4.46±0.85mm, 4.77±0.82mm과 4.97±0.92mm), danazol 치료군에서는 유의하게 감소하였다(3.97±0.63mm) (p<0.63mm). 백서모형에서 수술적으로 이식된 자궁내막조직의 성장과 발달은 자궁내막증의 병인 이해와 신약개발에 유용한 연구모델을 제공할 수 있을 것 이다. The purpose of this study was to surgically induce endometriosis in the rat by autotransplanting endometrial tissue to the mesentery and to evaluate the efficacy of danazol and decapeptyl for the treatment of endometriosis. Rats(n=48) were randomly assigned to normal control group(n=12) and surgically induced endometriosis group(n=36). The latter was further divided into the untreated, danazol treated and decapeptyl treated groups (n=12 for each group). Danazol(8mg/day) was orally administrated from 4weeks after operation. Decapeptyl(O.2ml/2weeks) was injected intramuscularly. Two rats of each group are sacrificed on the 10th, 20th, 40th, 60th, 80th and lOOth day after the first drug administration. We measured sizes of endometriotic implants and ovaries. The results were as follows; 1. The sizes of endometriotic implants were significantly decreased(P<O.Ol) in the danazol and decapeptyl treated groups (2.28±O.71mm and 2.78±O.89mm, respectively) compared with untreated group(3.91±l.08mm). 2. Long term treatment was more effective than short term treatment in decreasing the size of endometriotic implants in both danazol and decapeptyl treated groups(P<O.Ol). 3. The size of ovaries was not significantly different among the normal control, untreated and decapeptyl treated groups(4.65±O.83mm, 4.77±O.82mm and 4.97±O.92mm, respectively) but was significantly decreased(P<O.Ol) in the danazol treated group(3.97±O.63mm). The successful growth and development of surgically transplanted endometrial tissue in the rat may offer an useful research model that can be used to understand pathogenesis of endometriosis and to explore new drug therapies.

        두개안면골 골절 및 결손에 있어서 모상건막하 두개골막피판의 적용

        Technological advances in reconstructive surgery have aroused a wide spread reappraisal of anatomy and anatomical concepts. Mamy useful new flaps, such as the fasciocutaneous flap, have been introduced as a result. However subgaleal flaps have not been widely used, and there is little anatomical information published to guide tha surgeon in designing such a flap. The advantages of the subgaleal flaps are multiple pedicle, good vascularity and easier management, support the split and full thickness skin graft, thin and supple, gliding nature and minimal donor morbidity. The subgaleal flap has been used as an isolated flap in a variety of prospective cases such as defects or fractures of cranial floor frontal sinus or orbit, nasal or midface reconstruction, soft tissue contouring in massive facial trauma. We have used the subgaleal pericranial flaps in 3 cases with craniofacial fracutres or deformities and acquired satisfying results.

        3차원 콘빔CT 영상에서 형성한 2차원 정모두부방사선사진영상의 정확도 증진을 위한 두부자세재현기의 효과

        Objective: The purpose of the present study was to evaluate the effectiveness of the use of Head Posture Aligner (HPA) during cone-beam computed tomography (CBCT) scan in generation of frontal cephalograms using 3D CBCT images. Methods: CBCT scans and frontal cephalograms were made in 30 adult individuals. While a couple of CBCT scan was made for one subject, one was made with conventional method, without use of HPA, the other was acquired with the use of HPA. After creation of virtual frontal cephalogram from each 3D CBCT image, it was traced and compared with the tracing of real frontal cephalogram. Results: In the comparison of the measurements, the virtual cephalograms with the use of HPA did not show statistically significant differences with the real cephalograms whereas the virtual cephalograms without the use of HPA presented significant differences with real cephalograms in many measurements. In the correlation analysis with the measurements of the real cephalograms, the virtual cephalograms with the use of HPA showed higher correlations in all measurements than the virtual cephalograms without the use of HPA. Conclusions: Measurements from CBCT-generated cephalograms become similar to those from real cephalograms with the use of HPA during CBCT scan. Thus, the use of HPA is suggested during the CBCT scan in order to construct accurate virtual frontal cephalograms using 3D CBCT images. 본 연구는 3차원 콘빔CT 영상을 이용하여 2차원 정모두부방사선사진영상 형성 시 두부자세재현기(Head Posture Aligner, HPA)를 이용한 경우와 이용하지 않은 경우를 비교분석함으로써 HPA의 유용성을 평가하기 위하여 시행되었다. 성인 30명을 대상으로 먼저 일반적인 방법으로 콘빔CT 영상을 채득한 후 HPA를 이용하여 일정한 두부자세를 재현한 상태에서 또 하나의 콘빔CT 영상 및 정모두부방사선사진을 촬영하였다. 3차원 영상프로그램을 이용하여 HPA를 이용하지 않은 경우와 HPA를 이용한 경우 각각에서 2차원 정모두부방사선사진영상을 형성한 다음 각각의 투사도를 작성하고 실제로 HPA를 이용하여 촬영된 정모두부방사선사진 투사도와의 차이를 비교하였다. 거리 및 각도를 나타내는 여러 계측치를 비교분석한 결과 HPA를 이용하지 않은 경우에는 다수의 계측항목에서 실제 정모두부방사선사진과 유의한 차이를 보인 반면 HPA를 이용한 경우에는 모든 항목에서 통계적 유의차를 보이지 않았다. 아울러 실제 정모두부방사선사진과의 상관관계를 알아보기 위해 상관분석을 시행한 결과 HPA를 이용한 경우가 그렇지 않은 경우보다 모든 항목에서 높은 상관성을 보였다. 본 연구 결과는 3차원 콘빔CT 영상을 이용하여 2차원 정모두부방사선사진영상 형성 시 정확한 영상 획득을 위해서는 콘빔CT 촬영 시 HPA의 사용이 필요함을 시사하였다.
