In this study, we analyze the linkage effect of export by country and commodity on Korean industries. The result of emprical analysis showed that the imports among the ratio of exports to national income is the most linkage effect of the Korean economy. And the fixed assets show the second highest effect. This means that the composition of the export commodities is not desirable on the linkage effect of export. But the exports by year are desirable. And the linkage effect of the exports of Japan is lower than to any other country.

WiBro는 하향 링크와 상향 링크를 시간으로 구분하는 TDD방식이 사용되며 다중접속 방식으로는 OFDMA가 사용된다. WiBro 서비스의 특징들은 frame Mapping 과정에서 잘 나타난다 frame은 하나의 frame당 42개의 symbol 단위로 mapping 되며 TFFT Block에서는 하나의 symbol 단위로 frame mapper에서 Data를 불러와 처리한 후 CP insertion, windowing 과정을 거쳐서 단말에 전송한다. 본 논문에서는 WiBro 서비스를 위하여 TTA에서 제정한 표준안을 토대로 모뎀부분을 VHDL 언어를 이용하여 하드웨어로 설계 하였고 Xilinx Vertex 8000을 Target Device로 이용하였다.

Background: Neisseria elongate is a gram negative rod that is different from the other cocci shaped members of the genus Neisseria. It is a commensal bacterium of nose and pharynx, which has recently been recognized as a rare cause of infective endocarditis. Case report: In this report, we describe a case of N. elongata endocarditis associated with cerebellar and splenic infarction in a patient with a prosthetic heart valve. A 71-year-old man was admitted with high fever for a week. He had undergone a prosthetic valve replacement for aortic stenosis and Streptococcus mitis endocarditis in mitral valve 12 years ago. An echocardiogram demonstrated a vegetation-like echogenic structure on the lateral leafi et of the patient`s prosthetic valve. Two blood cultures grew gram-negative rod that were confi rmed to be N. elongate. Through a molecular approach based on 16S ribosomal, the organism responsible for the infective endocarditis conclusively isolated N. elongate. On the 9th admission day, he presented with drowsy mentality. Cranial magnetic resonance imaging revealed abnormalities consistent with acute bilateral cerebellar infarction, and abdomen computed tomography showed irregular shaped low attenuating lesion at the upper area of spleen as splenic infarction. The isolate was susceptible to ampicillin/sulbactam, ceftriaxone, ceftazidime, ciprofi oxacin, and gentamicin. The patient recovered after 71 days of antibiotic therapy with ceftriaxone (2 g per a day). Conclusion: Our case demonstrated that N. elongate is not only a commensal organism of the human but also an important pathogen that cause the complicated infective endocarditis. Furthermore, in a patient with a prosthetic valve, urgent and appropriate antibiotic therapy is crucial for the successful treatment of the case with the complicated N. elongata endocarditis.

<P><B>Abstract</B></P> <P>A series of Pt/Nb<SUB>2</SUB>O<SUB>5</SUB> catalysts were synthesized at different temperature conditions to investigate metal-support interaction effect on the catalytic activities in the aqueous phase hydrodeoxygenation of 1,6-hexanediol at 523K and 5.5MPa. The increase of calcination temperature of Nb<SUB>2</SUB>O<SUB>5</SUB> support over 773K lowered surface area as well as acidity of Nb<SUB>2</SUB>O<SUB>5</SUB>, which altered the electron density of the active center Pt as characterized by XANES analysis. It was demonstrated that the bifunctional catalytic nature of Pt/Nb<SUB>2</SUB>O<SUB>5</SUB> catalyst having high acidity and electron deficiency could promote the dehydration of 1,6-hexanediol followed by hydrogenation with high selectivity toward <I>n</I>-hexane.</P> <P><B>Highlights</B></P> <P> <UL> <LI> Hydrodeoxygenation (HDO) of 1,6-hexanediol follows parallel reaction pathways to form <I>n</I>-hexane or <I>n</I>-butane. </LI> <LI> Pt/Nb<SUB>2</SUB>O<SUB>5</SUB>-LT catalyst enhanced hydrodeoxygenation of 1,6-hexanediol via dehydration pathway. </LI> <LI> Electron deficiency of Pt on Nb<SUB>2</SUB>O<SUB>5</SUB> support contributed to better activity in HDO of 1,6-hexanediol than Pt/Al<SUB>2</SUB>O<SUB>3</SUB>. </LI> </UL> </P> <P><B>Graphical abstract</B></P> <P>[DISPLAY OMISSION]</P>

Kawasaki disease (KD) is an acute vasculitis of undetermined etiology in infancy and early childhood. There is no diagnostic test to confirm this disease and its diagnosis is made on clinical backgrounds. Most patients diagnosed are under 4 years of age. Here, we report a case of KD in an adult presented with clinical features of fever, headache, and skin rash. A 26-year-old male was presented with fever and headache of four days' duration and skin rash of three days' duration. Nausea and vomiting developed and the patient was treated with antibiotics under the impression of aseptic meningitis and became afebrile two days later. Laboratory findings revealed thrombocytosis, atypical lymphocytes, and elevated liver enzymes. Kawasaki disease was diagnosed, and intravenous immunoglobulin and low-dose aspirin (200mg/d) was administered. Hocardiogram did not reveal any coronary artery changes and the skin lesions disappeared. The patient was discharged after near normalization of the liver enzymes and is now being followed at our clinic. (J Asthma Allergy Clin Immunol 21: 96-102, 2001)

Normal male 6 week old mice(D. D. 0. /Lee) weighing about 20 grams were used for this study. 100 mice were equally divided into 20 groups(five to every group) and each animal was intravenously given a single dose of 0.8 pCi per gm body weight of 3H-thymidine. First in the diurnal variation of DNA synthesis the values were found highest in the morning(6 a. m.) group among the 4 differentiated ones, the remaining 16 groups were each injected intravenously the above isotope at 6 a. m. simultaneously, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 15, 30, 48, 96, 192, 384 hours after which some specimens of liver were excised. The authors present here the following results showing some data on the problems concerning cell renewal investigated by autoradiographic technique. 1. The values of DNA synthesis of the hepatic cells in the 4 per diem differentiated groups are highest in the 6 a. m. group (3.33), rank second in the midnight(1.80) and evening(1.20) groups and are lowest in the noon group(0.93). And in general, the values of DNA synthesis of the hepatic cells in the adult male mice are rather low. 2. The renewal or generation time of the hepatic cells in the adult male mice is put at about 240 hours. 3. The renewed-hepatic cells become degenerate at least within 384 hours.

Seeded dispersion polymerization of monodisperse polystyrene particles crosslinked with the urethane acrylate was carried out to obtain highly crosslinked composite particles. A thermodynamic model of this system was designed and compared with the experimental results. It was found that the effective absorption of the 2^nd monomer (divinylbenzene (DVB)) to the seed particles mainly depended on the sizes of seed particles and the DVB monomer droplets. Therefore, when small DVB emulsions were prepared, the DVB monomer was possibly diffused into the seed particles to about 60 times. Finally highly crosslinked large polymer particles were obtained.
