Micro end-milling has been becoming an important machining process to manufacture a number of small products such as micro-devices, bio-chips, micro-patterns and so on. Despite the importance of micro end-milling, many related researches have given grand efforts to micro end-milling phenomenon, for example, micro end-milling mechanism, cutting force modeling and machinability. This paper strongly concerned actual problem, micro tool deflection, which causes excessive machining errors on the workpiece. To research this problem, we measured cutting forces in micro end-milling processes. And then we measured about cutting profile for that processes. At last we make a comparison between tool deflection due to cutting force and measurement of cutting profile.

본 연구는 소비자가 PC통신을 사용한 결과 발생한 부산물인 클릭스트림 테이터(clickstream data)를 이용하며 온라인(on-line) 상에서 발생되는 구매자와 비구매자간의 차별적 특성에 관하여 파악하고자하는 의도에서 시작되었다. 클릭스트림 데이터는 온라인 네트웍 상에서 사용자가 방문한 페이지들외 순차와 각 페이지에 소비된 시간들을 포함하므로, 사용자들에 대한 정보탐색정보를 제공한다. 따라서 일정한 기간의 데이터를 확보한다면 특정한 사이트를 방문하는 소비자의 행위를 분석라여 특정 제품의 구매를 예측하는 연구가 가능하리라 생각된다. 이 논문에서는 클릭스트림 데이터 사용의 중요성을 강조하기 위한 시금석적인 실증 연구를 시도한다. 즉, PC통신의 현황, 서비스 내용, 사용자수 및 매출액규모 등을 시장성(marketability)의 관점에서 분석하기 위해 PC통신 사용자 중에 온라인 비구매자로부터 온라인 구매자로 전판을 예측하게 하는 변수를 파악하기 위해, PC통신 사용자들을 온라인 상에서 제품을 구매라는 집단과 구매하지 않는 집만으로 나누어 인구통계변수 및 PC통신을 사용하는 정보탐색변수를 중심으로 두 집단간의 차이를 분석하는 이분화 연구(dichotomous study)를 시도한다. 방법론으로 두 집단간의 평균차이를 비교하는 일변량 분석과 로지스틱 회귀분석을 사용한다. We began the study in order to analyze characteristics differentiated between on-line and off-line purchases by using the clickstream data occurring as a byproduct resulting from consumers' usage of PC telecommunication. The clickstream data includes information on the sequence of pages visited and time consumed on each page, which is expected to provide demand forecasting on the particular product if consumer behavior visiting a particular site is studied. We have performed an empirical study with demographics and information search variables to characterize a difference between on-line and off-line purchase3. Univariate and logistic regression analyses are employed.

Nano-structuring of Transparent Materials by Femtosecond Laser Pulses

Using tightly focused femtosecond laser pulses, we produce an optical waveguide and optical devices in transparent materials. This technique has the potential to generate not only channel waveguides, but also three-dimensional optical devices. In this paper, an optical splitter and U-grooves, which are used for fiber alignment, are simultaneously fabricated in a fused silica glass using near-IR femtosecond laser pulses. The fiber aligned optical splitter has a low insertion loss, less than 4㏈, including an intrinsic splitting loss of 3㏈ and excess loss due to the passive alignment of a single-mode fiber. Finally, we demonstrate the utility of the femtosecond laser writing technique by fabricating gratings at the surface and inside the silica glass.

Cigarette smoking has been known to have a few beneficial effects on some neuronal diseases such as Alzheimer's disease(AD), Parkinson's disease(PD) and prion disease by scrapie agent shows many similar properties with AD. In this respect, we investigated what biological effects are exerted by cigarette smoke exposure(CSE) in the brain of mouse infected by 87V scrapie. The scrapie agent was inoculated through stereotaxic microinjection of the homogenates of the scrapie agent infected brain into the intracerebral system in the 1M mice. The inoculation into mice typically exhibits neurochemical, physiological and histopathological characteristics of prion disease: loss of neurotransmitters and induction of astrocytosis and vacuolation in brain as well as reduction of spatial movement and loss of body weight. CSE led to alleviated the loss of body weight and also improved spatial movement of the infected mice. Most interestingly, CSE attenuated astrocytosis and vacuolation caused by scrapie infection in the brain. In addition, decreased levels of dopamine in striatal and hypothalamic regions as well as serotonin level in hippocampus caused by scrapie infection were also attenuated by exposure to cigarette smoke. These findings suggest that cigarette smoke, by its inhibition of astrocytosis and vacuolation followed by its restoration of levels of some neurotransmitters, may partly contribute to suppression in the progress of neurodegeneration caused by scrapie infection.
The Effects of Climate Technology-related Development Finance on Greenhouse Gases Reduction

This study statistically proves the effectiveness of the climate technology-related development finance by proving the CO₂ reduction effect through its empirical analysis of whether the climate technologyrelated development finance carrying out its role in reducing the CO₂ emissions of the recipient country. The results show that the climate technology-related development finance does not have a significant effect on the analysis of CO₂ as a whole, but since the cooperation of climate technology development affects the reduction of CO₂ in related sectors, the expansion of the climate technology-related development finance that focuses on CO₂ reduction of each sector is needed.

저자 등은 51세된 남자가 12개월 동안 진행되는 허약감과 하지의 작열감을 주소로 내원하여, 감각 및 운동 신경 장애, 비종대, 피부변화 등의 소견과 함께 고프로락틴혈증, 갑상선 기능 저하, IgG lamda monoclonal gammopathy, 제2 요추부 골 경화성 병소, 저칼슘혈증 등의 소견을 보였으며, 이 질환의 진행 도중에 뇌경색이 동반된 1예를 경험하였기에 보고하는 바이다. A POEMS syndrome is a rare multisystemic syndrome characterized by polyneuropathy, organomegaly, endocrinopathy, monoclonal gammopathy and skin lesion. It is associated with osteosclerotic myeloma and plasma cell dyscrasia. We experienced a case of POEMS syndrome associated with cerebral infarction in a 51-years-old male who complained bilateral paraplegia and numbness of both feet. He presented polyneuropathy, splenomegaly, hypothyroidism, hypogonanism, monoclonal gammopathy of IgG lambda type, hyperpigmentation, hypertrichosis and peripheral edema.
