        The purpose of this study is to examine the relation of level of self-regulated learning and learner-content interaction in Web-based instruction. Analysis on the difference of learner-content interaction result shows significant statistical differences between the level of self-regulated learning of amount of references, that of relevant references and achievement. This study shows that the levels of self-regulated learning in Web-based instruction are primary variables on learner-content interaction. Especially, the higher level self-regulated learning group shows more activities in learner-content interaction while the lower level self-regulated learning group shows less. So the Web-based instruction can provide the higher level self-regulated learning group with better environment. And, according to the fact that the higher self-regulated learning students have, the more students activate learner-content interaction, it suggest that teachers would design and present teaching-learning environment for students to use actively self-regulated learning.

        환기정도에 따른 수술실용 신발 종류가 수술실 오염에 미치는 영향 : How to Choose Suitable Shoes?

        Background : Various types of protective footwear have been used to minimize bacterial contamination in operating rooms. In recent years, debate has arisen concerning the need for use of such protective footwear. This study was designed to provide useful data about choosing shoes most suitable for the surgical environment. Methods : Between November, 1999 and January, 2000, we performed this experimental study by comparing effect of three types of shoes (i.e., disposable shoescover, operating room-restricted shoes, and ordinary shoes) on bacterial contamination of operating rooms equipped with two different ventilation systems (i.e., high air-change, low air-change) respectively. Data were collected during two-hour sham operations in which subjects and their activities were strictly standardized. Bacterial flora were sampled from the study area floor and air colony-counts were measured. Results : In experiments involving high air-change ventilation system, there was a significant difference of floor contamination between three types of shoes, but no difference of air contamination. Under low air-change system, there was a significant difference of both floor and air contamination between three types of shoes. Conclusion : The results show that protective footwear would be unnecessary in the operating room with high air-change ventilation system, but it is important to choose suitable shoes carefully under low air-change system. Therefore, the use of outdoor shoes can be considered under high air-change system, but it would seem sensible to apply their first use in less bloody operations at the day surgery center or out-patient department to prevent transfer of body fluid into the outside environment.

        Establishment of a rapid assay for sequencing of carried DNA and edited sites in gene-editing tomato plants

        Gene editing can modify gene function by inserting or deleting nucleotides in a specific region in a gene, which can alter the desired trait in the plant. In the selection process of gene-editing plants, many populations are created and need to be checked for the edited genes, but traditional gDNA extraction methods are laborious. Here, we used Biocube to extract gDNA and designed a specific primers to identify Cas9 in tomato [marker genes]. Biocubes are directly pressed into plant tissues to absorb and store DNA, and allow for quick and easy gDNA extraction. In this study, using template DNA obtained from tomato (Solanum lycopersicum L.) leaves by the traditional gDNA and the Biocube extraction methods, we confirmed carried DNA and editing in gene-editing plants, and compared the results of the two methods. Template DNA was obtained from cvs. Micro-Tom and M82 by the two extraction methods. Cas9, a gene-specific primer, and rbcl, an internal control, were used in PCR to confirm the presence of carried DNA. To verify the carried DNA, four samples were selected and whole-genome sequencing was performed. High-resolution melting analysis was used to check whether the target gene sequence was edited. Editing was compared using the targeted deep-sequencing results. The results showed no differences between the two gDNA extraction methods. In conclusion, we established a rapid assay for carried DNA and edited sites in gene-editing tomato plants.

        Identification of Interspecific and Intraspecific Single Nucleotide Polymorphisms in Papaver spp.

        The plants of the Papaveraceae family are used for ornamental purposes because of their varicolored flowers, and are known as medicinal crops. Some species of poppy are used in foods such as salads or sorbets, utilizing the seeds, leaves, pedicels, and petals. There are several morphological similarities among the species of this family, which make it difficult to distinguish the seeds of different species or identify opium poppies. The family is known to contain about 100 species. The leaves of Iceland poppy (Papaver nudicaule) cultivars with five different flower colors (white, yellow, pink, orange, and scarlet) were sequenced to obtain transcriptome data. Sequencing was done on plants in three different developmental growth stages (leaf rosette, branching and elongation of internodes, and blossom and seed formation). Systematic bioinformatics analysis was conducted to identify single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) unique to the five Papaver nudicaule cultivars and two other Papaver species (Papaver rhoeas and Papaver somniferum). A 739-Mb reference transcriptome (94.6% BUSCO completeness score) from a 566-Gb RNA-sequencing (RNA-Seq) dataset was obtained. Likewise, 18 significant SNPs were identified to authenticate the three species and five cultivars of Papaver. This study will facilitate future Papaver research, including evaluation of the results for more detailed characterization.

      • Comparative analysis of chloroplast genomes and 45S nuclear ribosomal DNAs within 9 perilla species

        Perilla is a annual herb plant of the mint family, Laminaceae and mainly cultivated in eastern Asia, i.e. Korea, China and Japan. In response to an increased interest for healthy supplement food from the public, people are focusing on the properties of perilla. The applicable parts of perilla plants are the leaves and seeds. Perilla has been cultivated as a source of unsaturated fatty acid oil. But in spite of advantage of the important nutritional traits the genome or molecular studies on perilla remains largely unknown. Sequence comparisons of chloroplast (cp) genomes or nuclear ribosomal DNA (nrDNA) are of great important to provide a evidence for taxonomic studies or species identification or understanding mechanisms that underlie the evolution of perilla species. So, we tried to study a structural analysis of perilla genome and 45s nrDNA using 9 species (3 Diploid; Perilla B-17, P. hirtella, P. setoyensis / 6 Tetraploid; YCPL 285, YCPL 170, YCPL 205-1, YCPL 181-1, YCPL 177-1, YCPL 207-1). The complete cp genome and nrDNA of 9 perilla species were determined using Illumina sequencing technology and analyzed on the variance in base level between perilla B-17 and salvia miltiorrhiza. Total chloroplast genome size of perilla B-17 as a reference was 152,589 bp in length. We also identified an slightly overlapped intergenic regions between salvia miltiorrhiza and B-17. The results above will contribute to growing of molecular or genome structure and functional genomics of perilla available in studying perilla biology. For further study, we will look for genetic diversity of perilla species.

      • 파프리카 여름재배 시 코코피트 배지조성에 따른 생육 및 과실 특성

        This study investigated the effect of cocopeat-based growing media composition on growth and fruit characteristics of two cultivars (``Colletti`` and ``Veyron``) of paprika (Capsicum annuum L.) for summer hydroponic cultivation. Three different cocopeat composition, on the basis of mixing ratio of coir chip and dust as well as slab size, were prepared as follows; 5:5 of coir chip and dust mixed in the slab of 100×20×10cm (Coco-A), 8:2 in the slab of 100×20×10cm (Coco-B), and 5:5 in the slab of 90×15×7.5cm (Control). The vegetative growth and fruit characteristics, fruit mineral elements and yield were measured. Plant height of two cultivars during the growing period was bigger in the slab of Coco-A and Coco-B than the control. In case of stem diameter was thicker in Coco-B media containing 8:2 of coir chip and dust. The fresh weight of leaf and stem was heavier in the slab of Coco-A and Coco-B than the control of ``Veyron`` cultivar and heavier in Coco-B of ``Colletti`` cultivar. The no. of fruit weight over 150g was decreased in August, particularly in ``Colletti`` cultivar. Average fruit weight was decreased both cultivars in August, smaller in the control than Coco-A and Coco-B. There was no significant difference of fruit mineral elements among the growing media. Considering effects on growth, fruiting and yield, it is found that the growth in Coco-A growing slab containing coir chip and dust at ratio of 5:5 was favorable than the control. Coco-A media could be recommended for the summer hydroponic cultivation of ``Veyron`` paprika, while Coco-B could be recommended for ``Colletti`` cultivar.

        ICT 시대에서 게임놀이활동이 학령기 지적장애아동의 뇌파와 사회적 기술, 자기 통제력에 미치는 영향

        본 연구는 게임놀이활동이 학령기 지적장애아동의 주의력관련 뇌파, 사회적 기술, 자기 통제력에 미치는 영향을 알아보고자 하였다. 본 연구의 대상자는 지적장애로 진단 받은 학령기 아동 6명으로 게임놀이활동을 주2회, 50분씩 총 12회기 실시하였다. 연구결과 게임놀이활동을 받은 실험군(p<.05)에서 중재 후 주의력 관련 뇌파(알파파, 베타파)와 사회적 기술, 자기 통제력 모두 유의하게 향상되었다. 실험군과 대조군의 집단 간 비교에서는 주의력 관련 뇌파중 알파파와 사회적 기술, 자기 통제력에서 실험군이 대조군보다 의미 있는 변화를 보여주었으며(p<.05), 베타파에서는 집단 간 변화의 차이가 없었다(p>.05). 이처럼 게임놀이활동은 지적장애 아동이 흥미롭게 자발적으로 참여할 수 있다는 점에서 지적장애 아동을 이해하고 문제의 예방과 치료에 보다 효과적으로 활용 될 수 있다. The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of game play activities on EEG, social skills and self-control in the children with intellectual disabilities. Subjects with intellectual disabilties were divided by control group(n=3) and the experimental group(n=3). In a period of 6 weeks, they took game play activities for 50 minutes 2 times a week. As a result, in EEG(α-wave, β-wave), social skills and self-control before and after intervention, there were significant difference in experimental group(p<.05). And in α-wave, social skills and self-control, there were significant difference in between group(p<.05). But, in β-wave there was no significant difference in between group(p>.05). These findings indicate that game play activities on the children with intellectual disabilities could improve EEG, social skills and self-control. Accordingly, game play activities are judged to be used for the children with intellectual disabilities to prevent problem and to intervention.

        Laparoscopic management of early primary peritoneal pregnancy: a case report

        Peritoneal pregnancy is an implantation in the peritoneal cavity exclusive of tubal, ovarian, or intra-ligamentary implantations. This is a rare obstetric complication with high maternal mortality and even higher perinatal mortality, and secondary type was most common. Risk factors for peritoneal pregnancy are previous history of extrauterine pregnancy or tubal surgery pelvic post-inflammatory status or presence of an intrauterine device. As it is a life-threatening condition, expectant management carries a risk of sudden life-threatening intra-abdominal bleeding and a generally poor fetal prognosis. So, when it is recognized, immediate termination of pregnancy is usually recommended. Early diagnosis of peritoneal pregnancy is difficult, but is important by their life threatening progress course to patients. Recently, we experienced primary peritoneal pregnancy which meets both the original and modified criteria. In this paper, we reported the case of early diagnosed and successfully treated peritoneal pregnancy despite of their diagnosis was incidentally.
