Enlargement of business field is required for the Investment Trust Companies in serious financial trouble to survive. We can think of two basic directions to take which are specialization in the basic investment trust business and acceptance of universalization including the securities business. Considering the current situation of domestic financial industry, a scheme of having a securities company as the mother company while seperating the investment trust business as its subsidiary would be particularly beneficial.

The authors has made an investigation on the water pollution of Kum River in chungnam province area from January to December 1981 and discusses the results of the water quality for the water samples were taken from 5 stations along the Kum River basin that is, Caechung dam (Ⅰ), Meapo(Ⅱ), Yeungi(Ⅲ), Gongju(ⅳ) Bueyeu(ⅴ). It is confirmed, by the analysis of B.O.D., C.O.D., S.S. and coliform that the Kum rever water was relatively less polluted than the other. Therefore it may be suitable still as source of water system. The relationships between pollutants in the Kum River Basin are as follow; B.O.D.(㎎/ℓ)=1.30C.O.D.-0.05(㎎/ℓ)
Streptomyces coelicolor A3(2)의 actinorhodin생성에 미치는 아미노산의 영향

We investigated the fatty acid compositions before and after the actinorhodin producrion in Streptomyces coelicolor A3(2). The relatice proportion of 15 and 17 carbon branched-chain fatty acids decreased signifi-cantly during the actinorhodin production. Fatty acid compositions in the mycelia grown in the presence of L-arginine as a sole nitrogen source, which supported actinorhodin production, showed higher relative pro-portion of the i15:0, i17:0 and ai17:0 branched-chain fatty acids. Therefore, it was concluded that common precursors derived from the amino acid were used for actinorhodin and fatty acid biosynthesis.

Now, power tillers and cultivators which are spread among fruit tree households have usage, low application, and high accident risk. Therefore, the development of multi-purpose work vehicles is needed as an alternative for these problems. Especially, easy usage and the ability to easily change gears when driving and the development of the P.T.O for various tasks such as pruning, water lifting, pest control, application and, mowing are needed. In this research, we will develop a transmission with design on P.T.Oaxle for agricultural work vehicles including multi-purpose vehicles. We aim to develop a 4-wheel drive transmission of synchronous contact type for practical use in fruit tree households which is required to be a large-sized agricultural vehicle. Therefore, we have per performed as follows that are composed of load capacity from 500kg to 1,000kg, safety securing for passengers, and drive securing under bad conditions of the topography slope and swampy land and the rest. For this purpose, we have developed a prototype vehicle through strength analysis of transmission design. we have selected optimal design conditions (Optimal RPM and torque according to some works) on the power transmission with multi-purpose vehicle for various jobs: spraying, manure spreading, mowing, brush wood chopping. If development of the P.T.O containing variable RPM and torque is successful, the following tasks can be possible. Air pruning, air maintenance, water lift, pest control, application, mowing, spraying, and brush wood chopping are possible with this developed P.T.O. Methods and contents for research are followed. Therefore, we have achieved performance-tests through the prototype of the multi-purpose work vehicle and have improved on troubles by the analysis of results of R&D. Also, we provided solutions to problems in mass production in the future.

An investigation of the water quality for the streams of Daejon area in Chung-nam province, korea, was conducted from January to December 1981. By this analysis of water quality for the streams of Daejon area, annual mean values of BOD: 49.3㎎/l, COD: 33.4㎎/l, DO: 7.5㎎/l, SS: 39.1㎎/l were determined respectively and those values of parameters were comparatively high. The increasing order of the water pollution for the streams of Daejon area was as follows; confluence place Daewha-Dang (D)> Yudeung Stream (B)> Daejon Stream (A)> Gab Stream (C). Therefore, it suggest that the water pollution of the streams of Daejon area have greatly influenced upon the water quality of Kum River in Chungnam and Jon-buk province.

<P>L-sulforaphane was identified as an anticarcinogen that could produce quinine reductase and a phase II detoxification enzyme. In recent decades, multi-effects of L-sulforaphane may have been investigated, but, to the authors' knowledge, the antiplatelet activation of L-sulforaphane has not been studied yet.In this study, 2 μg/ml of collagen, 50 μg/ml of ADP and 5 μg/ml of thrombin were used for platelet aggregations with or without L-sulforaphane. L-sulforaphane inhibited the platelet aggregation dose-dependently. Among these platelet activators, collagen was most inhibited by L-sulforaphane, which markedly decreased collagen-induced glycoprotein IIb/IIIa activation and thromboxane A2 (TxA2) formation in vitro. L-sulforaphane also reduced the collagen and epinephrine-induced pulmonary embolism, but did not affect prothrombin time (PT) in vivo. This finding demonstrated that L-sulforaphane inhibited the platelet activation through an intrinsic pathway.L-sulforaphane had a beneficial effect on various pathophysiological pathways of the collagen-induced platelet aggregation and thrombus formation as a selective inhibition of cyclooxygenase and glycoprotein IIb/IIIa antagonist. Thus, we recommend L-sulforaphane as a potential antithrombotic drug.</P>
