한양방치료를 병행 후 호전된 진성적혈구증가증 환자 1례

Objective: This study reports one case of polycythemia vera patient treated with oriental medicine in conjunction with conventional medicine. Methods: One patient who was diagnosed with polycythemia vera was treated using different modalities of herbs, acupuncture, and pharmacopuncture. An herbal formula, Yongdamsagan-tang was given three times a day with daily acupuncture treatment session, in addition to Soyeom and Jahageo pharmacopuncture injection which were administered three times a week. After treatment, patient's symptoms and blood test results were observed and analyzed. Results: After ten days of treatment, the patient had shown improvements in symptoms of headache, dizziness, tinnitus, and itchiness. Two months later, laboratory findings continued to be kept within the normal range and the intervals of phlebotomy therapy has extended to three months. Conclusions: This case study shows minimum evidence of safety and efficacy of oriental medicine for managing symptoms of polycythemia vera. Considering this is only a short term, single case study, further research is needed to confirm these results.

한방치료를 통한 요막관 선암 환자의 증상조절 1례 보고

Objective : This study reports one case of urachal cancer patient treated with oriental medicine. Methods : One patient who was diagnosed with stage IVB urachal cancer was admitted and treated using different modalities of herbs, acupuncture, and pharmacopuncture. An herbal formula, Hang-Am Plus, Myun-Yuk Plus, and Nobongbiki-jung was given three times a day with daily acupuncture treatment session, in addition to Sweet bee venum pharmacopuncture injection which were administered two~three times a week. After treatment, patient's symptoms and blood test results were observed and analyzed. Results : During treatment, symptoms and laboratory findings of patient were maintained in stable condition about 4 months, and the patient survived during 22 months after operation (5.5 months after oriental medicine treatment). Conclusions : This case study shows minimum evidence of efficacy of oriental medicine for managing symptoms of urachal cancer. Considering this is only single case study, further research is needed to confirm these results.

조형예술·디자인 전공 대학생들의 공감, 실무, 창의 역량 강화를 위한 SDGs 기반의 수업 연구 - K예술대학교 <SDGs : 사회혁신랩>을 중심으로 -

The purpose of this study is to develop an SDGs-based education program aimed at enhancing empathy, practical skills, and creativity competencies among university students majoring in fine arts and design. The research focuses on the "SDGs: Social Innovation Lab" course, which was introduced in the second semester of the 2023 academic year in the liberal arts department at K University of Art & Design in Uiwang, Gyeonggi-do. The study explores three research questions: (1) What core competencies should be cultivated through SDGs education? (2) What are the most effective methods for teaching the SDGs? (3) What roles do art and design play in solving social issues? Drawing from theoretical foundations and case studies, the course was designed by integrating Design Thinking and the Living Lab approach, which are key methodologies for social innovation. The course is composed of lectures that help students understand social phenomena and practical exercises aimed at enhancing creative abilities. Through pre- and post-course surveys, diagnostic evaluations, and interviews, the following insights were revealed: First, the course enhanced integrated thinking about a sustainable future, empathy, humanities literacy, creativity, problem-solving abilities, and shifts in perspectives. Second, the diverse structure of the course—including theoretical study, practical exercises, team projects, and individual research—contributed to high levels of student satisfaction. Third, students gained an understanding of the role of art in providing new perspectives and insights, and the role of design in generating problem-solving solutions. Based on these findings, an SDGs-based education model was developed.
