The purposes of this study is to find middle school student's application of Home Economics course its related variables. The samples are 323 middles school students in Kangneung. For the statistics analysis of this study, frequency, mean, Cronbach's a coefficient, ANOVA, t-test, Pearson' correlation and multiple regression were calculated. The results ofthis study are summarized as follows; 1. It is appeared that middle school student's application of Home Economics course are the food, human development and family relationship family, resources management and the consuming, the clothing. 2. Variables that affect middle school student's application of Home Economics course are the vocation of father, way of learning about home life skill, agreement with educational goal of Home Economic, evaluation of Home Economic teacher, evaluation of education field, participation in class of Home Economic and needs for Home Economics. 3. The explanation degree of these seven variables is 27.7% and needs for Homs Economics is the most domineering variables.
중학생의 가정과교육 학습요구도 및 가정생활참여에 관한 연구

The purposes of this study is to find middle school student's needs Home Economics Curriculum and the family life participation. The samples are 323 middle school students in Kangneung. The results of this are summarized folloes; 1. It is shown that the family life participation of boys was higher than that of girls 2. Variables that affect middle school student's needs for Home Economics curriculum are needs for Home Economics, number of brothers and sisters and the age for mother. 3. Variables that affect middle school student's the family life participation are human develoment and family relationship, the clothing, participation in class of Home Economics, perception of life status and sex. 4. The relative contibutions of independent variables of the family life participation of middle school students are as follows. The degree of explanation of middle school student's family environmental variable is 12.2%. Adding the variable of Home Economics course, the degree of explanation is increased to 21.8%(deviation 9.6%). Adding the variable of needs for Home Economics curriculum, the degree of explanation is increased to 33.1% (deviation 11.3%).
미취학 아동에 있어 신체발달, 손목 골밀도 및 영양섭취와의 상관성

This study was conducted to examine the correlation among growth development, bone mineral density, and nutrient intakes in preschool children. A total of 62 preschool children measured the anthropometric characteristics and the bone mineral density of carpus using DEXA. The questionnaires categorized to determine health status, life style, dietary behaviors, and dietary intakes were filled out by children's mothers. The average ages of the study subjects were 62.4 months in boys and 62.1 months in girls. The birth height and weight of the subjects were 50.9 ㎝ and 3.4 ㎏ in boys and 50.3 ㎝ and 3.3 ㎏ in girls, respectively. The average height, weight, % body fat, and obesity index were 111.7 ㎝, 19.6 kg, 15.0%, -2.1% in boys and 109.4 ㎝, 18.7 ㎏, 17.5%, 0.2% in girls, respectively. The bone mineral density in carpus was 0.25 g/㎠ in boys and 0.24 g/㎠ in girls. Proportions of children having regular meals were 69.0%, 94.7% and 69.0% for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, respectively. The major reasons for irregular meal were poor appetite and lack of time for breakfast and snacks for dinner. Most of the children(52.6%) had breakfast with the whole family together, and all the children had lunch and dinner with a part of the family. Most of the children answered they had snack more than once a day, and 64.3% had an unbalanced diet. The intakes of energy, calcium, iron, zinc, vitamin A, vitamin B₁, niacin, and vitamin C did not meet the Korean RDAs. The intakes of energy, calcium, iron, zinc, vitamin A, vitamin B₁, niacin, and vitamin C did not meet the Korean RDAs. Average bone mineral density in carpus was positively correlated to the body weight, the total body water, the lean body mass, and obesity index, respectively(p<0.01, p<0.01, p<0.01 and p<0.01). The body weight, the total body water, and the lean body mass showed the significant negative correlation with the animal iron intake(p<0.05, p<0.01 and p<0.01). The bone mineral density the distal carpus was negatively correlated to the animal protein intake and the animal iron intake(p<0.05 and p<0.05). And the bone mineral density in the ultradis carpus and the average bone mineral density in the carpus were positively correlated to the plant calcium intake(p<0.05 and p<0.05). Therefore, more systematic studies to investigate the roles of protein, iron, and calcium in growth development of preschool children were required.
성상교 세포종에서 p53 유전자발현에 대한 면역조직화학적 연구

Nineteen astrocytic neoplasms, such as 9 case of glioblastoma multiforme, 6 case of anaplastic astrocytoma and 4 case of low grade astrocytoma, were analysed in view of the relationship between histopathologic grade, nuclear pleomorhism, grade of mutant p53 gene expression and mean survival time after operation. The histopathologic calssification by Ringertz and immunohistochemical stain for mutant p53 gene with the DO-7 anti-p53 oncoprotein mouse monoclonal antibody were applied, and the results obtained were as follows : 1) Among 19 cases, 18 cases were located in the supratentorium where 13 cases(42%) were located in the left and 17 cases(55%) in the right. 2) The p53 gene expression was detected in 12(63.2%) of the cases, as revealed by positive nuclear staining. All cases of glioblastoma multiforme showed p53 gene expression, compared with two(33.3%) cases of anaplastic astrocytoma and one(25%) case of low grade astrocytoma. The frequency and degree of histopathologic grade(p=0.03) 3) The mean survival time after operation was 29.49±4.08 months in case with p53-negative tumors and 12.93±3.14 months in cases with p53-positive tumors(p<0.05). 4) Both histopathological calssification and p53 gene expression showed a significant influence on servival (p=0.02 and p=0.03, respectively) 5) The relative risk for survival time was the highest in p53 gene expression. In conclusion, p53 gene expression appears to be one of the recommendable prognosticators among astrocytic neoplasms.

The objectives of this study were to compare the biochemical profiles with biogroups for the identification of Cronobacter spp. (formally known as Enterobacter sakazakii) isolates using biochemical identification kits. A total of 38 Cronobacter spp. contained 5 clinical, 31 food, and 2 environmental isolates were used. All isolates were identified as Cronobacter spp. with the Vitek II system and ID 32E kit. The API 20E kit identified all isolates as Cronobacter spp. but the percentage identification was 51.1% for 16 of 38 isolates. These strains were contained to Biogroup 2, 9, 10, and 11. The utilization of inositol is a factor determining the percentage identification of Cronobacter spp. with the API 20E kit.
Numerical analysis on Deformation of Seabed Structures with various size materials by DEM

In the majority of previous studies on deformation of seabed structures using DEM, elements of structures have been assumed that it is composed with uniform materials or received fixed wave force, despite that actual submerged structures are composed with various size materials and influenced by complicated fluid field. The goal of this study is to develop a new model for analysis of seabed structure deformation using discontinuous structures composed with various size materials. As the first phase, a model using DEM and VOF, which can compute the deformation of submerged structures composed with various size materials, such as rubble mound structures, is proposed. A model test is carried out and then the validity of the model is discussed.
