Heat stroke, a medical emergency, occurs when the body's thermal regulation is upset and unable to dissipate adequate amounts of heat with a rise in body temperature. It is characterized by hyperpyrexia, with a core temperature of 40˚C or more. hot dry skin, and central nervous system disturbance and usually results in rhabdomyolysis and multiorgan failure. Our case, a 43-year-old healthy male, was caused by a marathon, half course, on a sunny day in late summer. He suddenly fell down on the road and was delivered to a nearby hospital, where a seizure developed. He was transfered to our hospital and then displayed Central Nervous System disturbance, hot dry skin, acute liver failure, rhabdomyolysis, anurlc acute renal failure, and disseminated intravasculular coagulopathy. He was treated with general supportive care and hemofiltration. Despite the aggressive management, he died of shock on the fifth day after admission.

This exoeriments were conducted to study anti-stress effects Samulanshintang on the weight change, β-lipoprotein, total cholesterol and triglyceride consentration of rats stressed by immobilization. The following results have been obtained : 1. Samulanshintang reduced significantly the body weight loss of rats stressed by immobilization. 2. Samulanshintang decreased significantly the serum cortisol level of rats stressed by immobilization. 3. Samulanshintang decreased significantly the serum β-lipoprotein level of rats stressed by immobilization. 4. Samulanshintang decreased significantly the serum total cholesterol level of rats stressed by immobilization. 5. Samulanshintang decreased significantly the serum triglyceride level of rats stressed by immobilization. According to the above results, it is concluded that Samulanshintang has significant effect in reducing stress.

Oriental psychotherapy that Diseases caused by surprising must be cure by surprising is like to systematic desensitization in Westem. 4. Oriental psychotherapy that pseudopsychosis must be cure by patient rely on doctor is like to suggestive therapy in western. 5. It is similar to suggestive therapy in western medicine that Sadness ,anguish and frustration induce disease. 6. Headache is caused by fever, energy deficience and angry. 7. Imsomnia is not caused by hsart disease, but gallbladder or liver. 8. Schizophrenia is caused by shocking and a sort of fever. 9. Epilepsy is caused by a sort of fever, shocking and fetal disease. 10 Schizophrenia(in case of manic state) is caused by fever and shocking, and imaginary pregnancy is considered as schizophrenia.

<P>A strain designated as S85(T) was isolated from a seaweed collected from coastal area of Chuuk State in Micronesia. The strain was gram-negative, rod-shaped, and non-motile and formed yellow colonies on the SWY agar (0.2?% yeast extract and 1.5?% agar in seawater) and Marine agar 2216. The strain grew at pH 5-9 (optimum, pH 8), at 15-40?C (optimum, 25-28?C), and with 1-9?% (w/v) NaCl (optimum, 3?%). The phylogenetic analysis based on 16S rRNA gene sequence showed that strain S85(T) was related to Lutibacter litoralis CL-TF09(T) and Maritimimonas rapanae A31(T) with 91.4?% and with 90.5?% similarity, respectively. The dominant fatty acids were iso-C15:0, iso-C15:0 3-OH and iso-C17:0 3-OH, C16:0 3-OH and summed feature 3 (C16:1 ω7c and/or iso-C15:0 2-OH). The major isoprenoid quinone was MK-6. The DNA G+C content of the type strain was 34.6?mol?%. The major polar lipids were phosphatidylethanolamine, an unknown glycolipid and two unknown polar lipids. Based on this polyphasic taxonomic data, strain S85(T) stands for a novel species of a new genus, and we propose the name Ochrovirga pacifica gen. nov., sp. nov. The type strain of O. pacifica is S85(T) (=KCCM 90106 =JCM 18327(T)).</P>
