        The increasing time and cost for the prevention and removal of software securiiy vulnerabiliiy incurs inefficiency in software development since the prevention and removal efforts are mainly concentrated after software implementation. Vulnerability prevention or removal, therefore, should be considered during elicitation of requirements phase. But users who are inexperienced with security vulnerabilities can't specify security requirements correctly and efficiently. This study suggests a method of elicitation and specification of security requirements that can make users who are not familiar with security requirements use easily. By suggesting the method of elicitation of security requirements, developers can easily find security vulnerability and respond to it as early as in software development phase.

        The range of cooperative activities among libraries, characteristics & necessity of cooperation and also the various forms of organization & systems necessary for the effective implementation of cooperative programs were studied. In particular, the historic development of library cooperation in United States and Canada was reviewed through the published literature on the subject and the following conclusions are made; (1) The continued user study is needed to meet the growing demand of changing society. (2) For successful library cooperation, a national legislative act, similar to the Library Service Act of U.S.A. and the Library Service and Construction Act of Canada, is needed. (3) The planning and coordination of cooperative activities should be carried out by the professional group such as library association and the financial aid ought to be sought from the public institution. (4) The national library should perform the leading role in creating and expanding the cooperative programs throughout the country as were the cases in library of congress of U.S.A. and national library & CISTI of Canada. (5) Professional librarians and managers must perform the central role with positive posture in the process of implementing the various cooperative activities. And the automation of library service is desired to effectively meet the social needs.

        The public library has long recognized as ant indispensable and important part of social organization. It serves men and women, young and old in their pursuit of knowledge and information in all aspects of human civilization. It is a center for the mess communication of written culture and human experience. Its function is to collect, catalogue, store and distribute various materials and information in a systematic and effective way coping with increasing volume and specialization trends. It must also function as a socio educational institution for the community. The children's service at the public library has received growing attention from both society and library circles in the sense that it enhances the formation of children's basic attitude life and contribute to helping them become able and respected citizens in a democratic society. It supplements the formal education of children at school and is an important part of children's education outside of the school. The purpose of this study was to review the historical development pattern of children's service at the public library in several major countries and to investigate the present status of children's service at Seoul municipal public libraries. Based on the survey data analysis, the following comments can be made:(1)Most libraries had allocated adequate space for children's service but seem to require some additional tools such as audiovisual equipment. However, facilities such as exhibition hall and assembly hall are not adequate.(2)Most libraries need to expand its services for children for example, book talk, radios&TVs, exhibits, etc.(3)The namber of trained children's librarians is not sufficient(4)Most libraries purchase books and materials with their own funds except those which partly rely on donation(30­40%)from outside sources.

      • Austenite Stainless鋼의 高溫强度및 破壞擧動에 관한 硏究(Ⅰ) : Creep 强度와 破壞擧動에 관하여 Creep Strength and Fracture Behavior

        Austenite stainless steel 년 316 has heat treated to austenite structure by heating at 1100℃ for 1hr and suddenly cooling. These specimens has been dealed with aging treatment at 700℃ for 0hr, 2hr, 10hr, and 100hr separately, and then conducted by creep test on the uniaxial state of stress in atmosphere of 600℃. The experimental results are obtained as follows. 1) Creep rupture stain rate has increased by the increasing of aging time. 2) Creep rupture time have had large affect of aging time comparing with 0hr aging specimen and increased by 20%, 40%, and 60% separately for 2hr, 10hr, and 100hr aging specimen. The empirical formulas of creep rupture time "t" as follows. (aging time are in parenthesis) t?=2.297×10? t?=8.810×10? t?=2.951×10? t?=1.178×10? 3) Creep constant "n" has increased, "k" decreased and creep limit increased by increasing the aging time. Then creep strain rate has decreased and increased by increasing the aging time and stress. The empirical formulas as follows. ε?=3.326×10? ε?=1.905×10? ε?=1.347×10? ε?=3.465×10? 4) The creep strain rate multiplied by creep rupture time has constant value according to property of material and belongs to the range of parallel line at logarithmic graph paper. 5) Hardness has increased by the increasing of aging time and intergranular hardness is higher than transgranular hardness. 6) The micro cracks occur from wedge crack and cavitation crack at grain boundary and exist at the surface of specimen and the surface of longitudnal section. 7) High stress and aging specimens have mostly wedge crack. Low stress and nonaging specimens have mostly cavitation crack. 8) Rupture surface of higher stress has shearing fracture of about 45° inclination, and has tendency of fracture by directing perpendicular to the axis for decreasing creep stress and also has same phenomenon for occurrence and propagation of crack.

        일부 농촌지역 주민의 불안과 혈중 콜레스테롤의 관련성

        In other to study relationship of anxiety and serum cholesterol in general population, we performed the interview survey and screening test for the Ju-am cohort and residents in controlling area at 1995. Among them, 622 people are selected for this analysis. The results were summarized as follows. 1. Anxiety and total serum cholesterol related each other in the group of anxiety. Correlation coefficient was 0.39(p<0.01). 2. According to the result of multiple regression that the total serum cholesterol regarded as the dependent variable, anxiety and total serum cholesterol were related each other positively in the group of anxiety(p<0.05). 3. As the symptoms of anxiety was dichotomized affective and somatic symptom. There was no relationship of 2 symptoms and total serum cholesterol in all subjects, but there was more relationship on the affective symptom than on the somatic symptom in the group of anxiety(p<0.05). The above results show that anxiety and total serum cholesterol related each other significantly in the anxiety group. And the relationship of psychological factors and serum cholesterol could be applied significantly in general population as well as in the special group.

        2형 당뇨병 환자에서 요중 Glycosaminoglycan(GAG)양 및 알부민뇨와 대혈관 합병증과의 관계

        Background: Increased loss of proteoglycan (PG) from glomerular basement membrane (GBM) has been postulated to alter glomerular charge selectivity which contributes to urinary loss of albumin. The glycosaminoglycan (GAG) is the degradation products of PG. Recently, one of the hypothesis suggested that urinary albumin execretion (UAE) reflects not only merely a glomerular manifestation but also a macrovascular disease (by Deckert et al). Wasty et al. reported a significant decrease in total GAG concentration and marked changes in their distribution in atherosclerotic plaques in human. Thus, the alterations in the metabolism of GAG might play a role in the pathogenesis of diabetic macroangiopathy. Therefore, we investigated the relationship among urinary GAG execretion rates, UAE and macrovascular disease in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus. Methods: We measured urinary excretion rates of GAG in type 2 diabetic patients with and without macrovascular disease (cerebrovascular disease, ischemic heart disease and other peripheral vascular disease) and investigated the relationships among urinary execretion of GAG, UAE and macrovascular disease in 103 patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus. Results: 1) Among total 103 patients, 66 patients (64.0%) showed normoalbuminuria, 18 patients (17.5%) showed microabluminuria and l9 patients (18.4%) showed macro albuminuria respectively. The duration of diabetes mellitus and the prevalence of hypertension, diabetic retinopathy and macrovascular disease were increased according to the degree of UAE. 2) The urinary excretion rates of GAG in type 2 diabetes mellitus with normo-, microand macro-albuminuria were 6.72±4.05, 9.17±3.26 and 14.20±6.13 ug glucuronic acid/min respectively (p$lt;0.05). The urinary GAG levels were significantly correlated with UAE (r=0.43, p$lt;0.05). 3) The urinary excretion rates of GAG in type 2 diabetes mellitus with (n=26) and without (n=77) macrovascular disease were 6.21±2.75 and 9.31±5.59 ug glucuronic acid/min, respectively (p$lt;0.05). Conclusion: 1) The urinary excretion rates of GAG were decreased in patients with macro vascular complications of type 2 diabetes mellitus. 2) The urinary excretion rates of GAG may be a possible marker of macrovascular disease in type 2 diabetes mellitus. Yet, further large prospective studies are necessary to confirm our findings.

        Western-style diets induce macrophage infiltration and contribute to colitis-associated carcinogenesis

        <P>Abstract</P><P>Background and Aim: </P><P>A Western-style diet (WD) is known to play an important role in inflammatory bowel disease and colon carcinogenesis. The purpose of this study was to understand the role of macrophages in WD-induced colitis associated with carcinogenesis.</P><P>Methods: </P><P>Male BALB/c mice were fed a WD or a control diet (CD) for 4 weeks and exposed to azoxymethane (AOM) followed by 2% dextran sulfate sodium (DSS) for 7 days.</P><P>Results: </P><P>The WD increased susceptibility to DSS-induced inflammation and accelerated the infiltration of macrophages. The incidence and multiplicity of colon tumors were higher in mice fed the WD than in those fed the CD (<I>P</I> < 0.05). Levels of prostaglandin-endoperoxide synthase (PTGS) 2 and prostaglandin (PG) E<SUB>2</SUB> in the colon were higher after treatment with AOM and DSS in mice fed the WD than in those fed the CD. In addition, WD consumption increased the DNA binding activity of nuclear factor-kappaB and the serum concentration of tumor necrosis factor (TNF)-&agr;. Mice fed the WD had higher numbers of F4/80-positive cells surrounding cancer cells compared with mice fed the CD. These cells expressed PTGS2, TNF-&agr; and &bgr;-catenin, which are up-regulated by the WD. We also found that the WD increased unphosphorylated &bgr;-catenin accumulation in the cytoplasm and nucleus of colon cancer cells.</P><P>Conclusions: </P><P>A WD increases the susceptibility to DSS-induced inflammation and accelerates the infiltration of macrophages. In turn, this resulted in the development and progression of colon cancer.</P>

        Impact of Hospital Volume of Percutaneous Coronary Intervention (PCI) on In-Hospital Outcomes in Patients with Acute Myocardial Infarction: Based on the 2014 Cohort of the Korean Percutaneous Coronary Intervention (K-PCI) Registry

        Background and Objectives: The relationship between the hospital percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) volumes and the in-hospital clinical outcomes of patients with acute myocardial infarction (AMI) remains the subject of debate. This study aimed to determine whether the in-hospital clinical outcomes of patients with AMI in Korea are significantly associated with hospital PCI volumes. Methods: We selected and analyzed 17,121 cases of AMI, that is, 8,839 cases of non-ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction and 8,282 cases of ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction, enrolled in the 2014 Korean percutaneous coronary intervention (K-PCI) registry. Patients were divided into 2 groups according to hospital annual PCI volume, that is, to a high-volume group (≥400/year) or a low-volume group (<400/year). Major adverse cardiovascular and cerebrovascular events (MACCEs) were defined as composites of death, cardiac death, non-fatal myocardial infarction (MI), stent thrombosis, stroke, and need for urgent PCI during index admission after PCI. Results: Rates of MACCE and non-fatal MI were higher in the low-volume group than in the high-volume group (MACCE: 10.9% vs. 8.6%, p=0.001; non-fatal MI: 4.8% vs. 2.6%, p=0.001, respectively). Multivariate regression analysis showed PCI volume did not independently predict MACCE. Conclusions: Hospital PCI volume was not found to be an independent predictor of in-hospital clinical outcomes in patients with AMI included in the 2014 K-PCI registry.

      • Identification of genes with differential expression in chemoresistant epithelial ovarian cancer using high-density oligonucleotide microarrays.

        <P>A major obstacle in treatment of epithelial ovarian cancer is chemoresistance. The aim of this study was to determine whether distinct gene expression profiles are associated with chemoresistance in epithelial ovarian carcinoma. We performed global gene expression analysis in 13 primary epithelial ovarian cancer tissues including 5 primary chemosensitive tumors and 8 primary chemoresistant tumors using Affymetrix HGU133A microarray. The gene expression patterns of chemosensitive tumors were compared with those of chemoresistant tumors using fold change. Validity of microarray results was examined by semiquantitative RT-PCR. We identified over 320 genes differentially expressed in chemoresistant epithelial ovarian cancer (> or = twofold). Upregulated genes in chemoresistant tumors included cell cycle regulating genes (TOP2A, BCAT1, CDCA8, CCNA2, CENPE), and genes with previously known mechanisms in tumorigenesis (S100A9, APOA1, RNF125, IFI16). Downregulated genes in chemoresistant tumors included genes related to cell adhesion (MUC5B, CITED2), transcription regulating genes (FOXD1, MAD1L1, PAX2), genes involving signal transduction (SOSTDC1, SNX1, SFRP1, FOXA2, PLK2), and stress protein gene (TP53AP1). These data show that gene expression profiling can discriminate primary chemoresistant from primary chemosensitive ovarian cancers. This type of molecular profiling could provide a basis for additional functional studies.</P>
