최근 다변화하는 MPLS망에서 재경로(Reroute)를 통한 Traffic Engineering의 필요성이 강조되고 있다. 따라서 기존 LSP에서 새로운 LSP로의 reroute시 traffic의 손실을 최소화 하면서 망의 안정성에 영향을 주지 않는 유연한 메커니즘에 대한 개발이 요구되고 있다. RSVP-TE signling을 통한 LSP 수립 방법을 개선하기 위해 제시된 Soft Preemption 기술은 전송 중인 traffic을 보장할 수 있으나, 경로설정에 대한 모든 처리를 HE가 담당함으로써 시간적 낭비를 초래하게 되었다. 본 논문에서는 RESIGNAL_DATA object를 제안하여 기존 LSP를 재사용하도록 함으로써 reroute시 LSP 재수립 시간을 단축시킬 수 있는 메커니즘을 제시한다. The Reroute is very important mechanism of the Traffic Engineering in MPLS. The adaptive and smooth rerouting requirement necessitates establishing a new LSP tunnel and transferring traffic from the old LSP tunnel onto it before tearing down the old LSP tunnel. Soft preemption protect in-transit traffic using RSVP-TE signaling. But much time is needed because HE make new LSP. In this paper, a RESIGNAL_DATA object is proposed to complement soft preemption. Advanced soft preemption reduce time to make new LSP reusing old LSP.

<P><B>Purpose:</B> Dysregulated expression of PLD1 has emerged as a hallmark feature of colorectal cancer, which remains a major cause of mortality worldwide. Aberrant activation of Wnt/β-catenin signaling is a critical event in the development of colorectal cancer. Here, we investigated molecular crosstalk between the Wnt/β-catenin and PI3K/Akt pathways via inhibitor of β-catenin and T-cell factor (ICAT), a negative regulator of Wnt/β-catenin signaling. We also explored the effect of PLD1 inhibition on growth of colorectal cancer hyperactivated by Wnt/β-catenin and PI3K/Akt signaling.</P><P><B>Experimental Design:</B> Expression of ICAT via targeting of PLD1 was assessed <I>in vivo</I> in <I>Apc<SUP>Min/</SUP></I><SUP>+</SUP> mice, an AOM/DSS model, and <I>in vitro</I> using various colorectal cancer cells. The relationship between ICAT/PLD1 expression and prognostic survival value of 153 colorectal cancer patients was examined. The therapeutic efficacy of PLD1 inhibitor was determined using a patient-derived xenograft model carrying <I>APC</I> and <I>PI3K</I> mutations.</P><P><B>Results:</B> PLD1 promoted the Wnt/β-catenin signaling pathway by selectively downregulating ICAT via the PI3K/Akt-TopBP1-E2F1 signaling pathways. Low PLD1 expression and high ICAT expression were significantly associated with increased survival in colorectal cancer patients and vice versa. Furthermore, PLD1 inhibition suppressed growth of colorectal cancer activated by the Wnt/β-catenin and PI3K signaling pathways.</P><P><B>Conclusions:</B> These results suggest that PLD1 linked to ICAT mediates molecular crosstalk between the Wnt/β-catenin and PI3K/Akt pathways and thus could be proposed as a novel colorectal cancer prognostic biomarker. These results may assist in the clinical development of a PLD1 inhibitor for treatment of colorectal cancer patients carrying <I>APC</I> and <I>PI3KCA</I> mutations. <P>A phospholipase that functions as a nodal modifier of colon cancer susceptibility mediates the cross-talk between two major tumor suppressor and oncogenic pathways, with implications for disease-selective therapeutic targeting.</P><P>The RB1/E2F1 signaling pathway is frequently deregulated in colorectal cancer and has been suggested to intersect with Wnt/β-catenin and PI3K/Akt pathways, but molecular evidence for this link is lacking. In this study, we demonstrate that phospholipase D1 (PLD1), a transcriptional target of β-catenin/TCF4, orchestrates functional interactions between these pathways during intestinal tumor development. Overexpression of PLD1 in intestinal epithelial cells protected cells from apoptosis induced by PLD1 ablation in the <I>Apc<SUP>min/+</SUP></I> mouse model of intestinal tumorigenesis. Mechanistic investigations revealed that genetic and pharmacologic targeting of PLD1 promote the E2F1-dependent apoptotic program via both miR-192/4465–mediated downregulation of RB1 and inhibition of Akt–TopBP1 pathways. Moreover, the miRNA–RB1 axis and Akt pathway also contributed to the PLD1-mediated self-renewal capacity of colon cancer–initiating cells. Finally, PLD1-driven E2F1 target gene expression positively correlated with tumor stage in patients with colorectal cancer. Overall, our findings suggest that PLD1 mediates cross-talk between multiple major signaling pathways to promote the survival and malignancy of colon cancer cells and may therefore represent an ideal signaling node for therapeutic targeting. <I>Cancer Res; 77(1); 142–52. ©2016 AACR</I>.</P>

Immersion pulmonary edema (IPE) is a form of pulmonary edema that can occur in divers or swimmers. IPE is a rare condition, but can be life-threatening and recurrent condition. The pathophysiology of IPE is still incompletely understood. We present a case of scuba diving induced pulmonary edema in a 46-year-old woman diving in cold seawater. After 20 minutes of diving at 18 m, she felt difficulty of breathing. Symptoms on surfacing were dyspnea, cough, and frothy sputum. Chest X-ray showed pulmonary edema and she was treated with an intravenous diuretic and supplemental oxygen. The patient showed rapid resolution of symptoms and was discharged on the same day. Sport physician should be aware of this potentially life-threatening recurrent condition.

We previously reported that glial cell line-derived neurotropic factor (GDNF) receptor ${\alpha}$ 1 (GFR ${\alpha}$ 1) is a direct target of apurinic/apyrimidinic endonuclease 1 (Ape1/Ref-1). In the present study, we further analyzed the physiological roles of Ape1/Ref-1-induced GFR ${\alpha}$ 1 expression in Neuro2a mouse neuroblastoma cells. Ape1/Ref-1 expression caused the clustering of GFR ${\alpha}$ 1 immunoreactivity in lipid rafts in response to GDNF. We also found that Ret, a downstream target of GFR ${\alpha}$ 1, was functionally activated by GDNF in Ape1/Ref-1-expressing cells. Moreover, GDNF promoted the proliferation of Ape1/Ref-1-expressing Neuro2a cells. Furthermore, GFR ${\alpha}$ 1-specific RNA experiments demonstrated that the downregulation of GFR ${\alpha}$ 1 by siRNA in Ape1/Ref-1-expressing cells impaired the ability of GDNF to phosphorylate Akt and PLC ${\gamma}$-1 and to stimulate cellular proliferation. These results show an association between Ape1/Ref-1 and GDNF/GFR ${\alpha}$ signaling, and suggest a potential molecular mechanism for the involvement of Ape1/Ref-1 in neuronal proliferation.
New Species of the Genus Mycale from Ieodo Ocean Research Station, Korea

A new marine sponges, Mycale (Carmia) ieoensis n. sp., of the family Mycalidae was collected SCUBA diving in June 2017 from Ieodo Ocean Research Station, Korea. M. (C.) ieoensis n. sp. is encrusting to irregular massive type, yellow in life. This new species is similar to M. nullarosette Hoshino, 1981 in color and growth form but it differs in spicule size and sigma shape. Spicule size of M. (C.) ieoensis n. sp. smaller than that M. nullarosette. Also, M. (C.) ieoensis n. sp. has two size toxa, but M. nullarosette is not. The new species are compared to other Mycale species from the Korean region, and similar species from elsewhere.

The Os Calcis is the largest bone of the tarsal bones. The incidence of fracture of the calcaneus is more frequent than that of any other tarsal bones. Farctures involving subtalar joint can usually cause serious and persistent disabilities and badly influence the patients psychologically, sacially and economically. But, there was no standardized treatment method for these fractures. The purpose of this article is to describe the surgical technique and the results obtained in 33 consecutive cases of calcaneal fractures involving the subtalar joint. The results were as follows, 1. Of 33patients, 24 patients were male and 9 patients were female. 2. The main cause of fracture of calcaneus was a fall from a height in 79% of cases. Most of the associated fractures were the spinal and tibial fractures. ' 3. Of these intra-articular fractures, 19 fzactures were joint depression type and 14 cases were tongue type by Essex-Lopresti classification. 4. Open reduction and internal fixation was performed in 18 cases of joint depression type and 6 cases of tongue type, and closed reduction and axial pinning was performed in 8 cases of tongue type and 1 case of joint depression type. 5. After average twenty-two months follow-up, the over all results of open reduction and internal fixation were excellent and good in 71%, and that of closed reduction and axial pinning were excellent and good in 67% by Salama creteria. 6. Complications included four superficial wound infection and one subluxation of peroneal tendon.
