A multi-stage low-noise amplifier (LNA) with LC-tank load to extend the bandwidth is designed for ultrawideband (UWB) wireless receiver. The design consists of three LC-tank cascode amplifier and one output buffer and is implemented in 0.18um RF CMOS process. The trade off on noise figure and chip area in low-noise amplifier design is discussed. The two LNA (LC and Res) gives 14.5㏈ gain; 7.2㎓ and 7.0㎓ 3㏈ bandwidth (3.1-10.3㎓ and 3.1-10.1㎓) while consuming 22.8㎽ and 23.8㎽ through a 1.5V supply. Over the 3.1㎓ - 10.3㎓ and 3.1㎓-10.1㎓ frequency band, a minimum noise figure of 2.6㏈ and 6.3㏈ and input return loss lower than -8.8㏈ and - 6.8㏈ have been achieved.

A current reused low-noise amplifier (LNA) with gain compensated to extend the bandwidth and is designed for ultra-wideband (UWB) wireless receiver. The design consists of two cascode common-source amplifier and an output buffer which is implemented in 0.18um RF CMOS process. The LNA gives 13.1㏈ gain; 9.1㎓ 3㏈ bandwidth (3.1-12.2㎓) while consuming 13.9㎽ through a 1.8V supply. Over the 3.1㎓ - 10.6㎓ frequency band, a minimum noise figure of 2.7㏈ and input return loss lower than -8.7㏈ have been achieved.

We report on experimental studies of an Al$_{0.15}$Ga$_{0.85}$N/GaN high-electron-mobility transistor structure grown on a $p$-type Si (111) substrate. This structure is compatible with complementary metal-oxide-semiconductor (CMOS) technology and, thus, has great potential device applications. The low-temperature magnetoresistivity shows a parabolic dependence on the applied perpendicular magnetic field. This effect is ascribed to electron-electron interaction (EEI) effects in a weakly-disordered two-dimensional system. Our experimental results agree with the EEI theory when the correction term in the ballistic region has been subtracted.
Asian Type 감마 3 정을 이용한 대퇴골 전자간 골절의 치료결과 분석

Purpose: This study was conducted in order to demonstrate the radiologic and clinical results of using the Asian type gamma 3 nail in treatment of trochanteric fractures. Materials and Methods: Patients underwent operations with gamma 3 nails between August 2010 and August 2012. For the radiologic evaluation, we analyzed bone quality, fracture pattern, reduction quality, union period, and position of lag screw (tip-apex distance, Cleveland index). For the clinical evaluation, we analyzed mobility score of Palmer and Parker and Jensen`s functional score. Results: The mean union was taken at 17.4 weeks (14-25 weeks). Two cases (4.3%) underwent reoperation due to cutting out of the hip screws. The clinical outcomes of Parker and Palmer`s average mobility score changed from 7.3 to 5.8 (79%), Jensen`s functional score was 1.3 to 1.8 (72%). Conclusion: We achieved excellent clinical and radiological outcomes; therefore, Asian type gamma 3 nail is effective in treatment of trochanteric fractures of the femur in Korea.
Synthesis of Au@MoS2-CdS Ternary Composite Structure with Enhanced Photocatalytic Activity

Au@MoS2-CdS, as ternary composite structure, was successfully synthesized by a facile process combining hydrothermal and seed-growth methods. The introduction of Au nanoparticles (NPs) into MoS2 spheres, forming a core–shell structure, demonstrats strong plasmonic absorption enhancement. The incorporation of CdS NPs into the Au@MoS2 core–shell structure further extends the absorption range of visible light and enhances exciton dissociation. The resultant composite structure exhibits the highest photocatalytic activity in photocatalytic degradation of rhodamine B (RhB) solution, compared with Au NPs, MoS2 spheres, Au@MoS2 core–shell and MoS2-CdS heterostructures. The above phenomena are supported by a series of characterization results such as SEM, TEM, XRD, EDS and UV-Vis, etc. Based on structural and morphological analyses, we propose the synthesis method of ternary composite structure photocatalysts, which is helpful for the synthesis of future multicomponent photocatalytic materials.

Metal-assisted chemical etching (MACE) has been used as a promising alternativemethod to fabricate micro/nano-structures on silicon substrates inexpensively. In thispaper, profiles of deep trenches on silicon substrates, with different doping levels,fabricated by MACE were studied. A layer of interconnected gold islands was firstdeposited onto the silicon substrate as catalyst. Electrochemical etching was thenperformed in a hydrofluoric acid (HF) and hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) mixturesolution with different HF-to-H2O2 ratio ρ (ρ = [HF]/([HF] + [H2O2])). Vertical deeptrenches were fabricated successfully by using this method. It was observed thateven under identical experimental condition, sidewalls with various tilting anglesand different morphology could still form on silicon substrates with differentresistivity. This possibly because with different resistivity silicon substrate, thegradient of holes in it greatly changed, and so did the final morphology. As a result,the tilting angle of etched trench sidewall can be tuned from 6 ° to 96 ° using siliconsubstrates with different resistivity and etchants with different ρ. By applying theangle-tuning technique revealed in this study, high aspect ratio patterns with verticalsidewalls could be fabricated and three-dimensional complex structures could bedesigned and realized in the future.
Influence of track irregularities in high-speed Maglev transportation systems

Track irregularities of high-speed Maglev lines have significant influence on ride comfort. Their adjustment is of key importance in the daily maintenance of these lines. In this study, an adjustment method is proposed and track irregularities analysis is performed. This study considers two modules: an inspection module and a vehicle-guideway coupling vibration analysis module. In the inspection module, an inertial reference method is employed for field-measurements of the Shanghai high-speed Maglev demonstration line. Then, a partial filtering, integration method, resampling method, and designed elliptic filter are employed to analyze the detection data, which reveals the required track irregularities. In the analysis module, a vehicle-guideway interaction model and an electromagnetic interaction model were developed. The influence of the measured line irregularities is considered for the calculations of the electromagnetic force. Numerical integration method was employed for the calculations. Based on the actual field detection results and analysis using the numerical model, a threshold analysis method is developed. Several irregularities modalities with different girder end's deviations were considered in the simulations. The inspection results indicated that long-wavelength irregularities with larger girder end's deviations were the dominant irregularities. In addition, the threshold analysis of the girder end's deviation shows that irregularities that have a deviation amplitude larger than 6 mm and certain modalities (e.g., M- and N-shape) are unfavorable. These types of irregularities should be adjusted during the daily maintenance.

Seven phenolic compounds (1-7) were isolated from the tubers of Gastrodia elata. Their structures were elucidated on the basis of MS and NMR spectral data. p-Ethoxymethyl phenyl-O-${\beta}$-D-glucoside (1) was proved to be a new compound, with N-(p-hydroxybenzyl)-adenosine (7) isolated from this plant for the first time. In this study, the protective effects of the six constituents (1-6) on PC12 cells against the cytotoxicity induced by KCI and glutamate were also investigated. The viability of the PC12 cells was significantly enhanced by pretreatment with the six phenolic constituents.
Parameter identifi ability of Boolean networks with application to fault diagnosis of nuclear plants

Fault diagnosis depends critically on the selection of sensors monitoring crucial process variables. Boolean network (BN) is composed of nodes and directed edges, where the node state is quantized to theBoolean values of True or False and is determined by the logical functions of the network parameters andthe states of other nodes with edges directed to this node. Since BN can describe the fault propagation ina sensor network, it can be applied to propose sensor selection strategy for fault diagnosis. In this article,a sufficient condition for parameter identifiability of BN is first proposed, based on which the sufficientcondition for fault identifiability of a sensor network is given. Then, the fault identifiability conditioninduces a sensor selection strategy for sensor selection. Finally, the theoretical result is applied to thefault diagnosiseoriented sensor selection for a nuclear heating reactor plant, and both the numericalcomputation and simulation results verify the feasibility of the newly built BN-based sensor selectionstrategy.
A Case Study on Design Factors of Educational Game for Mobile Platform

Digital games have been playing an important role around our lives, including the aspects of learning and education. The way of teaching of digital games can effectively motivate the learners, acting a good supplement of traditional way. With the innovation of technology and popularization of mobile devices, digital games which based on this are getting accepted and widely spread. It can improve the hand-eye coordination and the abilities of thinking and decision-making, developing abstract thinking and reasoning etc. This article based on the aspects of learning, instructional design, games design to develop a digital game containing education and entertainment combining with touch screen mobile devices. The purposes are to dig out the attractive points of game design for learner and integrate the educational strategy into game design.
