In this paper. the rectangular dielectric resonant antenna(DRA) in the microstrip slot feed line is analyzed. Microstrip slot feed line parameters are calculated and then the microstrip slot feed line is designed by using the parameters. Also the rectangular DRA having a value of ε_(r) , = 37.84 is invented for the transmission frequency bandwidth in the range of 2.37GHz to 2.40GHz for WLL(Wire1ess Local Loop) base station. The result showed that the return loss was about -42dB and that radiation pattern was simular to magnetic dipole's. The resonant frequency of simulation result of rectangular DRA which was designed with the value of ε_(r)=37.84 was obtained an error of less than 3 percent in comparison with the theoretical resonant frequency.

In this paper, the rectangular dielectric resonant antenna(DRA) in the microstrip feed line is designed for 5GHz band wireless LAN and ITS DSRC. Finite-difference time-domain(FDTD) method is employed to analyze the rectangular DRA. The return loss and resonant frequency are reported when the stub length of feedline, center position of DRA at λ/2 feed line and εr of DRA are changed. Also DRA in the microstrip feed line compared to DRA in the microstrip slot feed line. The result showed that DRA in the microstrip feed line is better than DRA in the microstrip slot feed line in the bandwidth and return loss.

In this paper. the rectangular dielectric resonant antenna(DRA) with the microstrip slot feed line is analyzed and fabricated. Microstrip slot feed line parameters are calculated and then the microstrip slot feed line is manufactured by FR-4. Also the rectangular DRA having a value of ε_(r) = 36 is fabricated for ISM(Industrial. Scientific, Medical) telecommunication operating in the range of 2.40GHz to 2.4835GHz. The measurement result had return loss of -44dB. It was -10dB lower than simulation's value with -33dB. Resonant frequency was measured at 2.44GHz.

Background : In recent years gonorrhoea has been panendemic and remains one of the most common Sexually Transmitted Diseases in the world, especially in developing countries. Objective & Method : For the detection of a more effective therapeutic regimen and assessing the prevalence of Penicillinase Producing Neisseria Gonorrhoeae(PPNG), Ive have been trying to study the patients who have visited the VD Clinic of Choong-Ku Public Health Center in Seoul since 1980 by means of the chromogenic cephalosporin method. Results : In 1994, 168 strains of N. gonorrhoeae were isolated, among which 109 (64,9% ) were PPNG. Conclustion : Our results suggests that the prevalence of PPNG in Seoul is still increasing.

Next-generation sequencing (NGS) technology and fast improvement in plant genetics have elevated to massive development of molecular genetic markers through fast analysis of huge molecular biological data. Furthermore, in domestic commercial breeding of horticultural crops, the application of marker assisted breeding (MAB) has been introduced recently. For effective improvement of cultivar breeding, in this research, transcriptome analysis and single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) comparison with high density pepper map in UC-DAVIS were performed using four lines of Capsicum annuum and C. chinense. For rapid analysis of MAB of tolerant pepper lines, 412 Fluidigm probes were newly designed in this study. These designed probes and SSR and COSII markers were applied for background selection through the MAB program. In addition, powdery mildew (PM), tomato spot wilt virus (TSWV) resistance related markers were subjected to foreground selection of BC1, BC2, and BC3 progenies. The MAB system using Fluidigm probes, and trait-related and common markers was introduced into domestic pepper breeding, which will rapidly approach to a new elite line and a commercial tolerant cultivar.

Map-based cloning to find genes of interest, markerassisted selection (MAS), and marker-assisted breeding (MAB) all require good genetic maps with high reproducible markers. For map construction as well as chromosome assignment, development of single copy PCR-based markers and map integration process are necessary. In this study, the 132 markers (57 STS from BAC-end sequences, 13 STS from RFLP, and 62 SSR) were newly developed as single copy type PCR-based markers. They were used together with 1830 markers previously developed in our lab to construct an integrated map with the Joinmap 3.0 program. This integrated map contained 169 SSR, 354 RFLP, 23 STS from BAC-end sequences, 6 STS from RFLP, 152 AFLP, 51 WRKY, and 99 rRAMP markers on 12 chromosomes. The integrated map contained four genetic maps of two interspecific (Capsicum annuum ‘TF68’ and C. chinese ‘Habanero’) and two intraspecific) (C. annuum ‘CM334’ and C. annuum ‘Chilsungcho’) populations of peppers. This constructed integrated map consisted of 805 markers (map distance of 1858 cM) in interspecific populations and 745 markers (map distance of 1892 cM) in intraspecific populations. The used pepper STS were first developed from end sequences of BAC clones from Capsicum annuum ‘CM334’. This integrated map will provide useful information for construction of future pepper genetic maps and for assignment of linkage groups to pepper chromosomes.

ChiVMV is one of the most destructive pepper pathogens in the East Asia. The resistant cultivar against ChiVMV is necessary to control the ChiVMV infection to pepper farm. However, the genetic source resistant ChiVMV was not fully identified yet and until now, the only recessive resistance gene has been recognized. In order to study more on the inheritance of the resistance and to establish a breeding program pertinent to ChiVMV resistance, firstly, we screened about 30 lines from several foreign countries, and found a new resistant line from several inoculation tests. Here, we report a new dominantly resistant chili pepper. Secondly, we found two AFLP fragments linked to the dominant resistance, which was located on the pepper chromosome number 6. The newly discovered dominant markers will help develop a new resistant pepper cultivar to ChiVMV.
Marker Development for Erect versus Pendant-Orientated Fruit in Capsicum annuum L.

The erect habit of fruit setting is a unique characteristic of ornamental peppers and wild pepper species. The erect habit is known to be controlled by the up locus on pepper (Capsicum annuum L.) chromosome 12. The result of a genetic analysis using Saengryeog 211 (pendant), Saengryeog 213 (erect), and their F1 and BC1 progeny demonstrated that up is a recessive gene. To develop an up-linked marker, bulked segregant analysis (BSA) and amplified fragment length polymorphism (AFLP) were employed using 108 F<SUB>2:3</SUB> individuals. The closest AFLP marker, A2C7<SUB>469</SUB>, was located at a genetic distance of 1.7 cM from the up locus and was converted into a cleaved amplified polymorphic sequence (CAPS) marker. This marker was mapped at a genetic distance of 4.3 cM from the up locus. When the CAPS was applied to seven ornamental lines and 27 breeding lines with erect fruit, these genotypes of 28 lines were correctly predicted. Thus, the CAPS marker will be useful for marker-assisted selection (MAS) of pepper breeding lines with the up allele at the early seedling stage.
