        부산지역 근로자들에서 Alcohol Use Disorders Identification Test (AUDIT)와 간기능 검사와의 연관성 조사

        목적: 세계보건기구에서 알코올의존 이전 단계인 위험 및 유해음주를 조기에 선별하기 위해 개발한 AUDIT와 근오자 정기 건강 진단시 간기능 수치를 조사하여 집단검진에서 AUDIT의 유용ㅇ성과 AUDIT점수와 간기능 이상과의 연관성을 확인 하고자 하였다. 방법: 생산직 근로자 440명을 대상으로 AUDIT설문을 시행하고 이들의 간기능 수치를 측정하여 세계보건기구 기준에 따른 정상, 우험음주와 김종성등(1999)의 기준에 따른 정상, 위험, 유해음주 사이의 간기능의 차이를 비교하고 비정상 간기능에 영향을 미치는 요인들을 비교 하였다. 결과: 체질량지수가 정상인 군에서 세계보건기구 기준에 의한 정상, 위험음주의 비정상 간기능에 대한 단순분석시 교차비는 위험음주가 2.81로 통계적으로 유의하게 높았고, 김종성 등(1999)의 기준에 의한 정상, 위험, 유해음주간의 비정상 간기능에 대한 chi-square test for linear trend 분석시 교차비는 위험, 유해음주에서 각각 1.23, 2.14로 통계적으로 유의하게 높았다. 비정상 간기능에 영향을 미치는 요인들을 다중 로지스틱 희귀분석을 구한 교차비는 AUDIT문항 No. 1-3(고위험군- 2.39), 연령(30대-1.95, 40대-2.40, 50대-3.85), 체질량지수(과체중-1.66, 비만-4.53), 세계보건기구 기준(위험음주-2.10), 김종성 등 기준(유해음주-2.20) 모두에서 통계적으로 유의하였다. 결론: AUDIT를 이용한 음주문제의 선별기준은 간기능 장애와 유의한 연관을 보여 향후 집단 검진시 음주로 인한 간기능 장애의 예측검사와 위험 및 유해음주의 선별검사로 AUDIT활용이 가능 할 것으로 생각된다. Objects: The purpose of this study was to investigate the usefulness of the Alcohol Use Disorders Identification Test (AUDIT) and the relationship between AUDIT score and liver function test. Methods: AUDIT questionnaires were distributed to 440 blue-collar workers. We compared liver function test with firstly, normal and hazardous drinking as measured by Kim et al.(1999). We also compared influencing factors on abnormal liver function. Results: By simple analsis in the normal BMI group, abnormal liver function was significantly affected by hazardous drinking (odds ratio 2.81) based on the guideline of WHO. By chisquare test for linear trend in the normal BMI froup, abnormal liver function was significantly affected by hazhrdous drinking (odds ratio 1.23) and harmful drinking (odds ratio 2.14) based on the guideline of Kim et al. By multiple logistic regression analysis, abnormal liver function was significantly affected by AUDIT questionnaires No. 1-3 (odds ratio risk 2.39), age (odds ratio-thirties 1.95, forties 2.40, fifties 3.85), BMI (odds ratio- overweight 1.66, obesity 4.53), guideline by WHO (odds ratio- hazardous drinking 2.10), and guideline by Kim et al (odds ratio-harmful drinking 2.20) Conclusions: We found that the problem of alcohol drinking as meadured by AUDIT was significantly associated with abnormal liver function. Therefore we suggest that AUDIT will be useful for the predictive test of abnormal liver function and screening test of hazardous and harmful drinking.

        The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of circuit weight training on body composition, Muscle stregth, Muscular endurance and cardiopulmonary function The subjects were ten male college students Who exercised circuit weight training 3 times per week. The results were as follows ①Body composition were not significantly changed after training ②Muscle strength and Muscular endurance were significantly changed after training (p < 0.05) ③VO_(2)max, VEmax and all out time were significantly increased after ten weeks (p < 0.05)

        적혈구 Pyrimidine 5'-Nucleotidase 활성도의 참고치에 관한 연구

        For the purpose of determining the reference value of erythrocyte pyrimidine 5'-nucleotidase(P5N) activity as a biological indicator to lead exposure, this study was conducted on the total of 225 healthy men who had not been exposed to lead occupationally, in July, 1994. The parameters selected in this study were age, hemoglobin, hematocrit, number of red blood cell, mean corpuscular hemoglobin(MCH), mean corpuscular hemoglobin concentration(MCHC), blood lead, and erythrocyte P5N activity. The blood lead concentrations were measured using a flameless atomic absorption spectrophotometer, and erythrocyte P5N activities by Sakai's simple method using a HPLC(1986). The results were obtained as follows ; 1. The distribution of blood lead concentrations revealed log-normal distribution, and geometric mean and standard deviation of blood lead were 4.09 ㎍/dl and 1.55㎍/dl, respectively. 2. The erythrocyte P5N activity showed normal distribution, and the mean and standard deviation of the erythrocyte P5N activity were 12.34 μmole uridine/h/g Hb, respectively. 3. All of the selected variables including blood lead concentration did not affect the erythrocyte P5N activity. Although the erythrocyte P5N activities were negatively associated with blood lead level, the correlation coefficient was not statistically significant. 4. From the result of this study, 8.7 μmole uridine/h/g Hb was obtained as a reference value of erythrocyte pyrimidine 5'-nucleotidase activity for the healthy adult male who had not been exposed to lead occupationally.

        The purpose of this study was aim at observing the cardio respiratory function between sprinters and marathoners in incremental maximal exercise. The subject were composed of healthy 20male(7sprinters, 7marathoners, 6non-athletes) The results analyzed on these data were summarized as follow 1. Variables related cardio respiratory Marathoners were superior to sprinters or non athletes in heart rate at rest, VT, VO_(2)max etc 2. Marathners were meaningly(P<0.05) lower than the other group in first 8minutes heart rate under same exercise intensity among respiratory gas variables in at rest, during exercise and recovery 5min phase. while sprinters were meaningly(P<0.05) highest, But marathoners were the meaningful lowest in respiratory quotiant from exercise 6min 3. Variable of post exercise 60min heart rate Marathoners showed rapid recovery rate to the other group.

        Aspergillus candidus F1484 균주가 생산하는 항진균 화합물의 분리 및 특성

        Candida albicans의 효모형태에 대해 활성을 나타내는 항진균 물질의 탐색 중에 Aspergillus candidus F1484 균주의 발효액으로부터 항진균 화합물 F1484를 단리하고 ethyl acetate 추출, silica gel column chromatography, ODS column chromatography 및 preparative HPLC를 행하여 분리정제하였다. F1484 화합물은 EI-MS, ^13C-, ^1H-NMR, DEPT, HMQC 및 HMBC에 의한 구조분석을 행한 결과 이 화합물은 항진균 물질인 chloroflavonin과 동일한 구조를 나타내었으며 효모형태의 Candida albicans에 대한 항진균 활성뿐만 아니라 여러 종류의 인체 종양 세포주에 대해서도 세포독성을 나타내었다. In the course of screening for the antifungal compounds against Candida albicans, an antifungal compound (F1480) was isolated from the culture broth of Aspergillus candidus F1484. Isolation and purification of compound F1484 were performed using ethyl acetate extraction, silica gel column chromatography, ODS column chromatography, and preparative HPLC. The structure of compound F1484 was determined by the spectroscopic analyses of EI-MS, ^13C-, ^1H-NMR, DEPT, HMQC, and HMBC. This compound appeared to have a structure of antifungal agent, chloroflavonin. In addition to antifungal activities against the yeast phase of Candida species, compound F1484 showed cytotoxic effect against various human tumor cell lines.

      • 抗癌劑가 家兎 赤血球膜의 Na-K-ATPase 活性度에 미치는 影響

        The object of this study was to investigate the action of the anticancer drugs (5-Fluorouracil and Mitomycin C) on the Na-K-ATPase activity and the effect of gingseng extract on the action of drugs. The blood was obtained from the cannulated carotid artery of rabbit, and the red cell ghosts were purified by the method of Rosenberg and Guidotti, and the amounts of the isolated inorganic phosphorus as a index of Na-K-ATPase activity was determined by the method of Fiske and Subbarow. And it was compared the difference between the effects in the presence or absence of ginseng extract at the maximal concentration to be inhibited Na-K-ATPase activity by drugs. The results were summarized as follow: 1. 5-Fluorouracil was significantly inhibited the activities of Na-K-ATPase activity and Mg-ATPase at the maximal dose(150 ㎎). 2. Mitomycin C was significantly inhibited the activity of Na-K-ATPase alone at the maximal concentration(1.0 ㎎/ml). 3. The ginseng extract was significantly decreased the degree of the inhibited Na-K-ATPase activity. From the above results, it was suggested that one of the causes of side-effects was the result of the inhibited material transport across the cell membrane by the drugs, and ginseng extract may be reduced the degree of inhibited Na-K-ATPase activity by any mechanisms.

      • 미셀-알콜수용액에서 Nitrobenzyl chloride의 전기화학적 환원

        The electrochemical reduction of nitrobenzyl chlorides in micelle-ethanol solution has been examined by polarography. The polarographic half-wave potential of nitrobenzy1 chlorides shown to be more negative shift in the anionic micelle(NaLS). o, p-nitrobenzy1 chlorides are initially an one-electron process which give the corresponding anion radical and the anion radical is rapidly decomposed to give the neutral radical. Those neutral radical dimerises as a major product although some o,p-nitrotoluene is also produced by hydrogen atom abstraction from the solvent. But m-nitrobenzy1 radical produced only m-nitrotoluene because of its steric effect.

      • LA 지역의 한국어교육 실태에 관한 설문 조사

        This investigation was operated by the author when he was staying as a visiting scholar at UCLA from Apr. to Jun. 2002. The subject of this investigation is the university students of Korean Language courses of UCLA and USC, High school students of Korean schools in LA area, the parents of them and the teachers of Korean schools. The total amount of investigated is 813 people, the type of investigation is questionnaire. Almost of young Korean heritage generation think about Korean people, Korean language and Korean society very affirmatively and almost of the parents think that Korean education for their sons and daughters is very necessary. By this investigation, 58.8% of Korean heritage high school and university students answered that Korean language is important language in the USA, More than 80% of respondent answered that Korean society and Korean education in the USA are developing. The average age of starting Korean language learning of these students are 2.1 - 4.2. The first place of their learning Korean is their home(68.1%), the Korean school (21.4%). The mose important reason of university students who are learning Korean is 'for communicating with family(27.2%) and that of high school students are 'as a matter of course because I'm Korean'(29.4%). Almost of Korean heritage parents think that their children must be educated with Korean Language. And they are spending less than 100 dollars for their children's Korean language learning per month. 90% of Korean language teachers of Korean school in LA was engaged as a teacher without any examination. It was pointed out that the qualifications for Korean language teaching, i.e. newspaper, internet, PCs, must be improved is urgent.
