학문 목적 한국어 학습자를 위한 인용절 교육 내용 연구

목적 이 글의 목적은 체계기능언어학(systemic functional linguistics)의 논리-의미 유형(logico-semantic types)을 반영하여 학문 목적 한국어 학습자를 위한 인용절 교육 내용을 새롭게 제안하는 것이다. 방법 인용절은 체계기능언어학의 논리-의미 관계에서 투사절로 설명된다. 투사는 투사 수준(생각, 발언), 투사 방식(종속, 병렬), 발화기능(명제, 제안)의 세 가지 기준에 따라 분류된다. 이러한 투사의 관점을 인용절의 교육 내용에 반영하면 학문 목적 한국어 학습자들에게 나타나는 기존의 문제점을 개선할 수 있을 것이다. 결과 첫째, 본고는 인용하는 언어적 내용에 따라 발언 인용, 생각 인용, 사실 인용으로 구분하였으며, 인용의 출처 또한, 화자, 청자, 제3 자 및 매체 등 다양한 출처를 다룰 필요가 있음을 제안하였다. 둘째, 간접인용 표현뿐만 아니라 직접인용의 교육 내용도 명시적으로 다루어야 하며, 간접인용 표현을 형태적으로 제시할 때는 ‘고’를 조사로 간주하는 관점이 효과적임을 기술했다. 이는 ‘고’를 조사로 보아 처리하는 것이 인용의 내용이 분명히 드러나고, 명제나 제안의 발화기능을 명시적으로 나타낼 수 있으며 무엇보다 인용절이라는 성격을 잘 나타내어 한국어 학습자가 접근하기 쉽기 때문이다. 셋째, 인용 동사는 인용 화자의 태도와 견해를 표현하기에 다양한 인용 동사를 학습할 수 있도록 교육 내용이 설계되어야 한다. 이를 위해 본고에서는 학습 단계별 인용 동사의 목록을 제시하였다. 넷째, 학습자들이 동격 관형절의 구조도 익혀 인용 표현을 능숙하게 구사할 수 있도록 인용 표현 학습 시 인용 명사도 문법 항목으로 포함할 것을 제안하였다. 결론 본고에서 제안하는 체계기능언어학 기반의 인용절의 교육 내용은 학문 목적 학습자가 대학 입학 후 필요로 하는 인용 표현의 충분한 내용을 담을 수 있으며, 또한, 그 사용 능력을 기르는 데 유용하게 적용되리라 기대한다. Objectives The purpose of this paper is to propose new educational content for quotations for Korean language learners, reflecting the logic-semantic types of Systemic Functional Linguistics(SFL). Methods Quotation clauses are elucidated as projective clauses within the logic-semantic relationship of SFL. Projection is categorized based on three criteria: projection level (thought, locution), projection mode (parataxis, hypotaxis), and speech function (proposition, proposal). Reflecting these perspectives of projection in the educational content of quotations can improve existing problems observed among Korean language learners for academic purposes. Results First, this paper distinguishes between locution quotation, thought quotation, and fact quotation based on the linguistic content being quoted, and indicates the need to address various sources of quotations such as speaker, listener, the third person and media. Second, it is emphasized that educational content should explicitly cover not only indirect quotation expressions but also direct quotation. Regarding the form of presenting indirect quotation expressions, considering ‘고’ as a particle is effective. This is because regarding ‘고’ as a particle helps to clearly reveal the content of the quotation, explicitly indicate the speech function of propositions or proposals, and above all, because it well represents the nature of quotations, making it accessible for Korean language learners. Third, it is suggested that educational content should be designed to include various quotation verbs to allow learners to express the attitudes and opinions of quoted speakers. To this end, this paper provides a list of quotation verbs for each learning level. Fourth, it is proposed that quotation nouns should be included as grammar items in quotation expression learning to enable learners to skillfully use quotation expressions by also mastering the structure of adjective clause. Conclusions The SFL-based educational content on quotations proposed in this paper can contain sufficient content of quotation expressions required by academic learners after university admission, and it is expected to be effectively applied in cultivating their usage proficiency.

Purpose: The purpose of this study is to examine and share experiences of male nurses who have been rejected during their nursing practice by their patients. Methods: The participants were 12 male nurses who have worked in several hospitals. Data were collected through personalized in-depth interviews. Collected data were analyzed with the content analysis method. Results: The results can be categorized into three main themes. 1. Rejection based on gender stereotypes of nurses’ roles. 2. Nurses’ reactions when nursing was rejected 3. Reestablishing the role as a nurse. The results of this study showed that male nurses were struggling to maintain their own positions as professional nurses. They were refused by their patients and they experienced a lack of skill and knowledge in nursing practice. They were harmed physically and psychologically from being turned down, and sometimes they had serious conflicts with female nurses. Meanwhile, the male nurses tried to be faithful to their role as professional nurses. Conclusion: The results of this study show the following findings. 1. The male nurses’ experiences where mostly ones of understanding and cooperation with patients’ caregivers. 2. The need for public relations advertising and systematic support from the media. 3. The need for improving gender equality for nurses. 4. Strengthening male nursing students’ endeavors for sound nursing professionalism.

<P>A Gram-staining-negative, non-flagellated, non-gliding and rod-shaped bacterial strain, designated PDB-16<SUP>T</SUP>, was isolated from seawater from a seaweed farm on the South Sea in Korea, and its taxonomic position was investigated using a polyphasic approach. Strain PDB-16<SUP>T</SUP> grew optimally at 30 °C, at pH 7.0–7.5 and in the presence of 2 % (w/v) NaCl. A neighbour-joining phylogenetic tree based on 16S rRNA gene sequences revealed that strain PDB-16<SUP>T</SUP> formed an independent lineage within the evolutionary radiation encompassed by the family <I>Flavobacteriaceae</I>. Strain PDB-16<SUP>T</SUP> contained MK-6 as the predominant menaquinone and iso-C<SUB>15 : 0</SUB>, iso-C<SUB>15 : 1</SUB> G and iso-C<SUB>17 : 0</SUB> 3-OH as the major fatty acids. The major polar lipids detected in strain PDB-16<SUP>T</SUP> were phosphatidylethanolamine and two unidentified lipids. The DNA G+C content of strain PDB-16<SUP>T</SUP> was 42.1 mol%. Strain PDB-16<SUP>T</SUP> exhibited very low 16S rRNA gene sequence similarities of less than 89.7 % to the type strains of any bacterial species with validly published names and less than 90.1 % to uncultured bacteria clones. The 16S rRNA gene sequence similarity values and the differences in phenotypic properties between strain PDB-16<SUP>T</SUP> and some phylogenetically related genera were sufficient to support the proposal that strain PDB-16<SUP>T</SUP> should be distinguished from previously known genera of the family <I>Flavobacteriaceae</I>. On the basis of the data presented, strain PDB-16<SUP>T</SUP> is considered to represent a new genus and novel species, for which the name <I>Sungkyunkwania multivorans</I> gen. nov., sp. nov. is proposed. The type strain of <I>Sungkyunkwania multivorans</I> is PDB-16<SUP>T</SUP> ( = KCTC 32138<SUP>T</SUP> = CCUG 62952<SUP>T</SUP>).</P>

Aims: Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is the one of the most common cancers and lethal diseases in the world. Wiskott-Aldrich Syndrome Protein Family Member 2 (WAVE2) overexpression overexpression is reported in HCC. However, the regulation mechanism of WAVE2 and its effect on HCC progression is not well-known. We aimed to explore WAVE2 regulation mechanism through methylation study and WAVE2 role on HCC progression through in vitro study. Methods: Methylation status of WAVE2 was determined through profiling of promoter-region DNA methylation in HCC from The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA) data. Validation was performed with bisulfite-specific PCR sequencing and methylation-specific PCR analysis in 20 pairs HCC tissues with corresponding non-cancerous tissues. Targeted inactivation of WAVE2 using siRNA was performed in HCC cell lines and cell growth and proliferation were examined. Results: WAVE2 was significantly overexpressed in HCCs compared to non-tumor tissues and associated with poor prognosis in overall survival and disease-free survival of patients in TCGA data. Also, we found inverse correlation between DNA methylation and gene expression of WAVE2, and WAVE2 was significantly hypomethylated in human HCC compared to non-tumor. Targeted inactivation of WAVE2 suppressed cell growth and proliferation of HCC cells, and reduced the metastatic potential of HCC cells by selectively modulating epithelial mesenchymal transition regulatory proteins. Conclusions: We observed that WAVE2 is significantly overexpressed and hypomethylated in HCC. Also, WAVE2 up regulation is associated with poor prognosis in HCC patients. WAVE2 activation might be one of the key mechanisms during liver tumorigenesis and can be a candidate of therapeutic target for HCC.
