        중등 컴퓨터과학교육을 위한 객체지향형 EPL '두리틀'의 적용 및 평가

        제 7차 컴퓨터교과 교육과정은 소프트웨어 활용 부분에 치중되어 컴퓨터과학에 관한 원리교육이 이루어지지 못하고 있다. 한편, ACM K-12 컴퓨터과학 교육과정 모델에 관한 보고서에서는 현재의 컴퓨터교육이 그릇된 방향이며 컴퓨터과학 중심의 컴퓨터교육을 위해서 프로그래밍언어 교육을 통한 원리교육의 중요성을 강조하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 프로그래밍 체험학습을 위한 객체지향 기반의 새로운 교육용프로그래밍언어인 두리틀(Dolittle)을 소개한다. 두리틀은 간결한 구문과 한국어와의 대응성, 인크리멘탈 방식의 프로그래밍, 수치, 문자열, 배열과 같은 알고리즘과 구조화, 텍스트 위주의 프로그래밍 등의 설계방침을 적용한 언어이다. 중학생을 대상으로 실제 수업에 적용해 보고 학습효과를 분석한 결과, 객체지향기반이지만 클래스나 상속 등의 개념을 모르고도 활용 가능한 교육용프로그래밍언어라는 것을 확인할 수 있었다. 또한 객체와 메소드 활용을 통하여 프로그래밍 결과를 쉽게 확인할 수 있고 오류 수정이 용이하므로, 학생들의 높은 흥미도를 유지하면서 학업성취도를 향상시키고 차후 학습으로의 연계가 수월하였다. Current computer education is difficult to educate basic concepts and principals of the computer science because the 7th curriculum of computer education is focused on the application of software. According to the ACM K-12 report about the computer science education model, current computer education is taking the wrong way and we should put the highly priority on the education of the fundamentals through programming languages for a better computer education oriented to the computer science. This paper introduces a new object-oriented educational programming language "Dolittle'". The design principals of Dolittle are simple syntax of Korean, incremental programming, text based programming, aliasing of function, and object-oriented programming. Being applied to middle school classes, we can confirm that Dolittle is easy to learn, and gives rise to high interest and keeps interest through a course,and also is of great practical use in class for programming novice.

      • Cutting performance of tungsten carbide tools coated with diamond thin films after etching for various times

        <P>In this study, diamond thin films were deposited on tungsten carbide tools using surface-wave plasma-enhanced chemical vapor deposition (SWP-CVD). To eliminate the adverse effects of cobalt on the diamond deposition process, the cobalt was removed from the surface of the tools by etching with Murakami’s reagent for various times (30, 60, and 120 min). The cutting performance of the untreated and the diamond-coated WC tools was examined by performing cutting test on carbon fiber-reinforced plastic (CFRP). The results showed that all the diamond-coated tools exhibited great improvement on the durability and wear resistance compared to the uncoated one. In addition, the diamond-coated tool lift time is found to be proportional to the etching time. An increase more than twofold has been achieved when the etch time was increased from 30 min to 120 min.</P>

      • 순차적 크리깅기법을 이용한 미소혼합기의 최적화

        An active micro-mixer, which is composed of an oscillating micro-stirrer in the micro-channel to provide effective mixing was optimized. The effects of molecular diffusion and disturbance by the stirrer were considered with regard to two types of mixer models: the simple straight micro-channel and micro-channel with an oscillating stirrer. Two types of mixer models were studied by analyzing mixing behaviors such as their interaction after the stirrer. The mixing was calculated by Lattice Boltzmann methods using the D2Q9 model. In this study, the time-averaged mixing index formula was used to estimate the mixing performance of time-dependent flow. The mixing indices of the two models were compared. From the results, it was found that the mixer with an oscillating stirrer was much more enhanced' and stabilized. Therefore, an approximate optimization of an active micro-mixer with an oscillating stirrer was performed using Kriging method with OLHD (Optimal Latin Hypercube Design) in order to determine the optimal design variables. The design parameters were established as the frequency, the length and the angle of the stirrer. The optimal values were obtained as 1.5754, 0.803D and ±45°, respectively. It was found that the mixing index of the optimal design increased by 83.36% compared with that of the original design.

        Quantitation of Plasma Apolipoprotein A -Ⅰ with a Sandwich Type Enzyme - Linked Immunosorbent Assay Using Monoclonal Antibodies

        A sandwich-type enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) for the quantification of human apolipoprotein A-I (apoA-1) was developed using monoclonal antibodies. For this assay. we used three monoclonal antibodies to trap and detect apo A-1. HDAl16 and HDAI5 monoclonal antibodies were used for trapping apo A-I and HDAI8 monoclonal antibody was for detecting apoA-I. These three monoclonal antibodies were produced by immunizing mice with high density lipoprotein (HDL) isolated from human plasma. By immunoblot analysis. these three monoclonal antibodies were specific to apoA-1 and showed no cross-reactivities with other plasma proteins. The results of competition assays for epitope cross-reactivity test also verified that these monoclonal antibodies identified separate and distinct epitopes on HDL and apoA-1. Affinity constants of monoclonal antibodies were measured by ELISA. Their association constants ranged from 10^7 to 10^8 M^(-1). For this assay, pure apoA-I was isolated by affinity chromatography using monoclonal antibodies. In this sandwich assay. the amount of HRP-labeled HDAIB bound to apoA-I trapped by HDAl16 and HDAI5 was proportional to apoA-1 concentration in the range of 0 to 500ng/ml. ApoA-1 concentration in plasma was calculated from the linear regression equation of standard curve. The precision and reliability of the assays are reflected in the low intra- and interassay coefficients of variation that averaged 3.25% and 4.30%, respectively. This assay is sensitive, simple. reproducible. convenient in incubation interval, and does not use radioisotope: thus it can be widely applied in clinical laboratories.

        Long-Term Efficacy of Endoscopic Submucosal Dissection Compared with Surgery for Early Gastric Cancer: A Retrospective Cohort Study

        Background/Aims: This study aimed to compare the outcomes of endoscopic submucosal dissection (ESD) and gastrectomy based on the two sets of indications for ESD, namely guideline criteria (GC) and expanded criteria (EC). Methods: Between January 2004 and July 2007, 213 early gastric cancer (EGC) patients were enrolled in this study. Of these patients, 142 underwent ESD, and 71 underwent gastrectomy. We evaluated the clinical outcomes of these patients according to the criteria. Results: The complication rates in the ESD and gastrectomy groups were 8.5% and 28.2%, respectively. The duration of hospital stay was significantly shorter in the ESD group than the gastrectomy group according to the GC and EC (p<0.001 and p<0.001, respectively). There was no recurrence in the ESD and gastrectomy groups according to the GC, and the recurrence rates in the ESD and gastrectomy groups were 4.7% and 0.0% according to the EC, respectively (p=0.279). The occurrence rates of metachronous cancer in the ESD and gastrectomy groups were 5.7% and 5.0% according to the GC (p=1.000) and 7.5% and 0.0% according to the EC (p=0.055), respectively. Conclusions: Based on safety, duration of hospital stay, and long-term outcomes, ESD may be an effective and safe firstline treatment for EGC according to the EC and GC. (Gut Liver 2014;8:519-525)

        Positive Glucose Breath Tests in Patients with Hysterectomy, Gastrectomy, and Cholecystectomy

        Background/Aims: This study aimed to investigate the prev-alence and characteristics of small intestinal bacterial over-growth (SIBO) in patients undergoing abdominal surgeries, such as gastrectomy, cholecystectomy, and hysterectomy. Methods: One hundred seventy-one patients with surgery (50 hysterectomy, 14 gastrectomy, and 107 cholecystectomy), 665 patients with functional gastrointestinal disease (FGID) and 30 healthy controls undergoing a hydrogen (H<sub>2</sub>)-methane (CH<sub>4</sub>) glucose breath test (GBT) were reviewed. Results: GBT positivity (+) was significantly different among the surgical patients (43.9%), FGID patients (31.9%), and controls (13.3%) (p<0.01). With respect to the patients, 65 (38.0%), four (2.3%), and six (3.5%) surgical patients and 150 (22.6%), 30 (4.5%), and 32 (4.8%) FGID patients were in the GBT (H<sub>2</sub>)+, (CH<sub>4</sub>)+ and (mixed)+ groups, respectively (p<0.01). The gastrectomy group had a significantly increased preference in GBT+ (71.4% vs 42.0% or 41.1%, respectively) and GBT (H<sub>2</sub>)+ (64.3% vs 32.0% or 37.4%, respectively) compared with the hysterectomy or cholecystectomy groups (p<0.01). During GBT, the total H<sub>2</sub> was significantly increased in the gastrectomy group compared with the other groups. Conclu-sions: SIBO producing H<sub>2</sub> is common in abdominal surgical patients. Different features for GBT+ may be a result of the types of abdominal surgery. (Gut Liver 2017;11:237-242)

        Roadmap Toward Certificate Program for Trustworthy Artificial Intelligence

        In this paper, we propose the AI certification standardization activities for systematic research and planning for the standardization of trustworthy artificial intelligence (AI). The activities will be in two-fold. In the stage 1, we investigate the scope and possibility of standardization through AI reliability technology research targeting international standards organizations. And we establish the AI reliability technology standard and AI reliability verification for the feasibility of the AI reliability technology/certification standards. In the stage 2, based on the standard technical specifications established in the previous stage, we establish AI reliability certification program for verification of products, systems and services. Along with the establishment of the AI reliability certification system, a global InterOp (Interoperability test) event, an AI reliability certification international standard meetings and seminars are to be held for the spread of AI reliability certification. Finally, TAIPP (Trustworthy AI Partnership Project) will be established through the participation of relevant standards organizations and industries to overall maintain and develop standards and certification programs to ensure the governance of AI reliability certification standards.

      • Scale-up Study of Chromium-free Catalysts for the Recovery of Hydrogen from Solid Waste Gasification

        In this study, our research team has shown that the large scale Fe-Al-Cu catalyst prepared by co-precipitation, which is known to exhibit high activity and stability in the HTS (High Temperature Shift) reaction for hydrogen conversion of waste gasification synthesis. The physical and chemical properties of the Fe-Al-Cu catalysts prepared on laboratory scale and large scale were investigated by XRD, H<sub>2</sub>-TPR, BET, and N<sub>2</sub> adsorption. The Fe-Al-Cu catalysts prepared at different batches were quantitatively evaluated and compared directly with commercial Fe-Cr catalysts to demonstrate the performance of the prepared catalysts. The Fe-Al-Cu catalyst showed higher CO conversion than the commercial Fe<sub>3</sub>O<sub>4</sub>/Cr<sub>2</sub>O<sub>3</sub> catalyst at a GHSV (Gas Hourly Space Velocity) of 40,057mL·g<sup>-1</sup>·h <sup>-1</sup>. The FAC-PC-1 (Fe:0.42M, Al:0.005M, Cu:0.005M) catalyst and the FAC-PC-3 (Fe:0.42M, Al:0.015M, Cu:0.015M) catalyst achieved high CO conversion in the HTS reaction. In particular, it was confirmed that the FAC-PC-3 catalyst maintained excellent reducibility when it was scaled up, confirming that it could be replaced with a commercial catalyst. Large scale catalyst (FAC-PC-3-240, 40 times of laboratory scale) showed BET surface area, reducibility, and Cu dispersion similar to those of FAC-PC-3, whereas the Fe<sub>3</sub>O<sub>4</sub> crystallite size slightly increased. Thus, we demonstrate the performance of the FAC-PC-3-240 catalyst could be maintained the excellent ability to improve the conversion of waste derived synthesis gas into H<sub>2</sub>.
