To study the efficacy monoclonal antibody(MAb) against bovine rotavirus(BCV) in treatment of calf diarrhea, the MAb was fed to 166 calves with diarrhea from Chung-buk area. The results were summarized as follows. 1. Among the 1,049 calves investigated, 166(16%) calves were infected with BCV. 2. The monthly rate of BCV infection were higher in October to December compared with other months of the year. 3. Among the 166 calves with diarrhea, 137(83%) calves were recovered. 4. Young calves within 7-day-old were more effective in treatment than other ages and the rate of treatment was 86%. 5. Most effective period for treatment of rotavirus was at the first stage of infection.

In an effort to improve the quality of meat and to monitor farms, residual tetracyclines in local beef and pork produced in the province of North Chung-cheong were determined by a EEC 4-plate, Charm Ⅱ and HPLC, respectively. The results were summarized as follows; 1. Of the 547 samples, 4 beef and 13 pork samples were judged to be positive by EEC 4 -plate method. 2. Detection rates of tetracyclines by type 1(+ + - -) and type 2(+ + + or + + ± -) micro-bial growth inhibition in EEC 4-plate method were 100% and 71%, respectively. 3. Of 17 positive samples, 6 were positive for tetracyclines, 4 were positive for tetracyclines and sulfonamides, 1 was positive for sulfonamides, and 2 were positive for others by Charm Ⅱ test. 4. The best eluents were 0.01M methanolic oxalic acid, and the ideal temperature for stable concentration was 40℃ as optimal HPLC analytical conditions for the detection of tetracy-clines. 5. Of the 10 positive samples for tetracyclines by Charm Ⅱ test, tetracyclines were confirmed in 2 beef and 6 pork samples, using HPLC, at levels ranging from 3.64~4.22 ppm and 0.2~1.20 ppm, respectively.

Recent many of collaborative researches between architecture and digital media has been emerged in various academic area. However, most case of research dealing with architecture facade and surface has focused on the role of interface in urban environment or also it has been limited as an urban screen that is a exterior surface for being projected images of advertising commercial contents, message and indexical references. I believe that point of view prevents from further investigation about the possibility of digital moving image as a new media surface which builds ontological and phenomenological value of tectonics. In this study, I explore the notion of tectonics that has been developed to identify modern architecture since ninteen century in Germany and how it extend the boundary of the architecture and also how closely it is related to technological development in order to forms new kind of socio cultural venue in urban context.Corresponding to the dematerialized architecture surface beyond its function by highly sophisticated construction technology and newly invented materials, I also recall the notion of haptic visuality generated by various visual practice from early cinema and intercultural film to minimalism artist’s work and projection mapping artist which builds the materiality in conjunction with extended notion of tectonics in different level. Therefore, based on the notion of tectonics, I compose the creative linkage between architectural way of spatial and physical experience, and the augmented materiality that digital moving picture could convey. Also I am pursuing new possibility of digital moving picture and how it treats and revitalizes big data as another crucial elementof contemporary tectonics.

On SI houses in Japan, infill system is used for curtain wall, service system and interior except structure taking charge internal stress. And, it means that part can be changed by residents. Also, for correspond to variety of lifestyle of resident, infill should be easy to set up, dismantle, and move. It is called Interface that is an concept including condition of junctions, regulations. Because of interface, there must be gaps and its may cause deterioration of properties. To reduce the deterioration of properties, the design for Interface should be planned more than that properties of two materials used at junctions. The survey for regulations and standards has conducted and required performance item and performance evaluation method which can be a basic material of performance-standard of infill are reorganized. With this, common features of required performance item of two parts consisting Interface are fixed for required performance item of Interface. As well as, required performance item of Interface has been acquired with containing necessary items which are not included required performance item of Infill. Next, classes of required performance of Interface are summarized according to KS. Therefore, the object of this research is to give the basic information about performance-standard of infill and interface.
알레르기비염 발생의 위험 인자와 현증 알레르기비염의 폐기능 및 기관지과민성

Purpose: We analyzed the pulmonary function and risk factors of allergic rhinitis (AR) in dust mite-sensitized children with current AR and no history of asthma. Methods: In this cross-sectional study, demographic and disease-related information was obtained from 1,792 Korean children aged 9?12 years using a questionnaire, skin-prick testing, spirometric analysis, and methacholine challenge testing. Results: A total of 672 children were analyzed. The control group consisted of 583 children without any allergic diseases who were not sensitized to 16 common allergens. The group with current AR and dust mite sensitization consisted of 89 children. Binary logistic regression analysis showed that helminth infection (adjusted odds ratio [aOR], 2.88; 95% confidence interval [CI], 1.23?6.77) and antibiotic use during infancy (aOR, 1.89; 95% CI, 1.10?3.25) were the risk factors. Pet ownership (aOR, 0.32; 95% CI, 0.15?0.69) and older siblings (aOR, 0.58; 95% CI, 0.35?0.96) were protective factors. Spirometry results did not differ between the control and dust mite-induced AR groups. None of the children showed a bronchodilator response. However, 8.5%, 7.1%, and 2.1% of the control-group children and 28.7%, 23.0%, and 8.0% of the dust mite-induced AR-group children showed methacholine PC20 (provocative concentration of methacholine causing a 20% fall in forced expiratory volume in 1 second) values of ≤25 mg/mL, ≤16 mg/mL, and ≤8 mg/mL, respectively (P<0.01). Conclusion: The prevalence of current dust mite-induced AR may be reduced by controlling environmental factors. Even though the spirometry results seemed to be normal, bronchial hyperresponsiveness occurred more frequently in children with dust mite-induced AR than in normal children.

<P><B>Abstract</B></P><P>Hypercholesterolemia-related endothelial cell dysfunction and decreased endothelium-derived nitric oxide formation may account for impaired angiogenesis and subsequent erectile dysfunction. Angiopoietin-1 (Ang1) is a critical angiogenic factor for vascular maturation and enhances vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF)-induced angiogenesis in a complementary manner. We hypothesized that combined adenovirus-delivered human Ang1 (ad-Ang1) and VEGF165 (ad-VEGF165) gene transfer might promote angiogenesis cooperatively in a rat model of hypercholesterolemic erectile dysfunction and result in a recovery of erectile function. Ad-Ang1 and ad-VEGF165 were injected either alone or in combination into the corpus cavernosum of the penis. Combined gene transfer of both ad-Ang1 and ad-VEGF165 significantly increased cavernous angiogenesis, eNOS phosphorylation, and cGMP expression compared with that in the groups treated with either therapy alone. Erectile function, as evaluated by electrical stimulation of the cavernous nerve 2 and 8 weeks after treatment, was completely restored in the combined treatment group, whereas intracavernous injection of either ad-Ang1 or ad-VEGF165 alone elicited partial improvement. The results indicate that combined application of angiogenic factors may enhance cavernous angiogenesis cooperatively by reinforcing the endothelium both structurally and functionally, which results in an additive effect on erectile function in hypercholesterolemic rats.</P>

Photonic crystal fibers(PCFs) with silica cores within an away of air holes have unique properties. Broad band single-mode and the octave-spanning supercontinuum generation, impossible to achieve in classical fibers, can be realized. The design of PCFs is very flexible. There are two parameters to manipulate: air hole diameter, and lattice pitch. We introduced a fabrication process for control of the parameters to obtain endlessly single mode PCF, which is single mode in a large wavelength range, and highly nonlinear PCF. The numerical analysis and experiments are included. 실리카 코어 주변에 주기적인 공기층을 가지는 광자결정 광섬유는 넓은 파장 영역을 통한 단일모드의 구현 또는 1옥타브 이상의 광대역 연속광 발생과 같은 기존의 광섬유로는 불가능한 독특한 특성을 갖도록 유연하게 설계할 수 있다. 광자결정 광섬유의 설계에 사용되는 변수로는 공기층의 직경과 간격이 있으며 이러한 변수의 조절을 위한 공정을 도입하여 넓은 파장영역을 통한 단일모드 구현과 높은 비선형 특성을 가지는 광자결정 광섬유를 각각 제작 하였고 수치적 계산과 실험을 통해 그 특성을 살펴보았다.
Sulfur Dioxide 가스 흡입 후 흰쥐 기관 점막에서 Laminin의 발현에 대한 연구

Background and Objectives : The concentration of sulfur dioxide($SO_2$) gas in the ambient air appears increasing in the industry and urban area day by day. It was known that $SO_2$ is noxious gas. $SO_2$ can be irritating to the eyes, nose, throat, upper respiratory tract and skin. It produces sulfurous acid on contact with water and is extremely irritating to the nasopharynx and respiratory tract. Laminin is a family of extracellular matrix glycoproteins localized in the basement membrane that separates epithelial cells from the underlying stroma. The biological activities of laminin are to promote cell migration, wound healing, growth and differentiation. Meterials and Methods : The histologic changes and the expression of laminin in tracheal mucosa sacrificed at every weeks (to 7 weeks) after continued $SO_2$ exposure of 250ppm for 30 minutes a day were studied in rats. Results : Pathologic tissue was formed at the tracheal mucosa and the underlying tissue by the infiltration of monocytes and epithelium was transformed to the single cell layered epithelium above 5 weeks after exposure. At the 6 weeks after exposure, epithelial cells were partially lost and epithelial cell layer was transformed to be leaf-shaped. Submucosal tissue was transformed to be lymphatic tissue. An intense positive staining for laminin was found in apical cytoplasm and lateral surface of the normal epithelial cells and basement membrane but at the 5 and 6 weeks after exposure, laminin activity was decreased to the moderate activity. At the 7 weeks after exposure, laminin activity was decreased to the weak activity. Conclusion : Our finding suggests that $SO_2$ makes histologic damage on the tracheal mucosa and decreases immunoreactivity for laminin. Longer duration of the exposure of $SO_2$ makes more histologic damage on the tracheal mucosa and decreases immunoreactivity for laminin.
