        BTCA에 의한 실크/라미 교직물의 DP 가공 - FT-IR 및 HPLC에 의한 에스테르 가교 평가-

        Silk and ramie union fabric, DP finished with BTCA, were analyzed by FT-IR and HPLC and the physical properties were evaluated. Through FT-IR analysis, we could identify cross-linking by the presence of carbonyl peak in ramie and silk appearing at 1725 $cm^{-1}$ /. The peak intensity increased as the concentration and the temperature increased. With the use of HPLC, we could measure the amount of BTCA cross-linked using a calibration curve. The amount of BTCA detected increased in a straight line as the concentration and temperature increased. Crease resistance was higher than that of untreated silk and ramie union fabric under each processing condition and it increased in a straight line as the concentration and temperature of BTCA finishing increased.

        만성부비동염에서 전산화단층촬영과 병리조직학적 소견과의 관계:만성염증의 중증도에 대한 지표

        Background and Objectives:Chronic sinusitis is a comon disease in otolaryngology, but its pathologic mechanism has not been clearly known. Also, the evaluation method for the severity of chronic sinusitis is not established. The aim of this study was to analyze possible factors associated with the correlation betwen the radiological and pathological severity of chronic sinusitis. In addition, we assesed the profiles of inflammatory cells in the sinus mucosa and peripheral blood eosinophils in relation to the overall pathologic grades and OMU CT findings. Subjects and Method:Fifty specimens of pathologic sinus mucosa, obtained during endoscopic sinus surgery were stained with hematoxylin and eosin. Total inflammatory cels, plasma cells, neutrophils, lymphocytes and eosinophils were quantified. The preoperative OMU CT scans were scored by the staging system of Lund-Mackay. Also, the preoperative percentage of eosinophils in peripheral white blood cells were obtained with the complete blood count with differentiation. Results:The count of total inflamatory cells, lymphocytes and eosinophils infiltrated in the diseased sinus sed by Lund-Mackay system corelated significantly with the severity of the pathologic grades. Conclusion:The important in-dicators of the severity of the chronic inflamation in chronic sinusitis were OMU CT scores, overal pathologic grades, and total inflamatory cells, lymphocytes and eosinophils infiltrated in sinus mucosa.

        BTCA에 의한 실크/면 교직물의 DP 가공 (Ⅰ)- 물리적 특성에 미치는 처리 조건의 영향 -

        Silk/Cotton fabrics were treated with butanetetracarboxylic acid(BTCA) to improve crease recovery and anti-shrinking properties at various curing temperatures and pH values. We investigated the effects of finishing conditions on add-on of BTCA, bending property(B, 2HB), wrinkle recovery angle, shrinkage, and dyeing properties. The Add-on of BTCA increased with increasing curing temperature and concentration. Crease recovery was improved with decreasing shrinkage. Maximum add-on of BTCA was showed at pH 2.5. In case of dyeing and mercerization, silk side treated with BTCA was more flexible than untreated, whereas cotton side was more stiff. In dyeing after mercerization, B and 2HB values were higher and K/S values were doubled nearly. The hand of fabric improved with decreasing B and 2HB by the BTCA treatment. BTCA treatment after reactive dyeing improved crease recovery, and caused no change of color difference. However, BTCA treatment after reactive dyeing didn't improve crease recovery, whereas B and 2HB were decreased considerably by the treatment.

        개인 운전자의 주행 특성을 반영한 속도 예측 기법

        지능형 교통체계 (ITS: intelligent transport system)의 확산과 교통정보 저장 기술의 발달로 인하여 전국의 도로에서 하루에도 수천만 건의 교통 속도 데이터들이 수집되고 있으며, 시간의 흐름에 따라 생성되는 방대한 양의 데이터를 효율적으로 처리하는 방법과 신뢰성 있는 통행 속도 정보 예측이 중요한 연구 주제가 되고 있다. 이러한 교통 정보 시스템의 발달로 교통 정보에 대한 다양한 분석이 가능해 졌지만 운전자의 개인특성을 반영한 교통 정보의 분석은 아직까지 연구가 거의 이루어지고 있지 않은 분야이다. 본 논문에서는 도로유형, 시간대 등의 속성 (attribute)을 고려하여 운전자의 개인 특성을 반영한 속도 예측 기법을 제시한다. 데이터 정규화를 통하여 전체 분포에서 상대적 위치를 나타내는 통계량인 z-score를 이용하여 운전자의 개인주행 특성을 정의하고, 개인 특성에 따라 운전자들을 군집 기법인 k-means clustering 알고리즘을 사용하여 군집화 함으로써 군집 단위의 속도 정보 관리 방안을 제안한다. 다음으로, 군집별로 계산된 운전자 주행 특성을 반영하여 목적지 도달 시간 (destination arrival time)을 계산하기 위한 속도를 보정함으로써 속도 예측에대한 정확도를 개선한다. 실험 결과, 본 연구에서 제시한 예측 기법을 사용한 경우, 평균 5.27%, 최대 10.4% 의 오차 개선 효과를 달성할 수 있었다. With the development of ITS (intelligent transport system) and traffic information storage technology, tens of millions of data are gathered nationwide on daily basis. It is becoming an important research issue recently to handle such large amount of data efficiently and to perform the reliable traffic speed prediction. It has become possible to analyze various traffic information with the development of the intelligent traffic system, but data analysis that reflects driver's individual driving characteristics has not been considered yet. In this study, we present the speed prediction method considering various attributes such as road types and daily time slots. We have defined a driver's driving characteristic using z-score, which is a statistics for ascertaining the relative position in the entire distribution by normalizing the distribution. We have also presented a process of managing the speed data according to the groups that are generated by clustering drivers using the k-means clustering algorithm. Finally, we propose a new prediction method that corrects the speed for calculating destination arrival time by reflecting the driver’s driving characteristic. Result analysis shows a noteworthy effect by the improvement of error prediction, 5.27% on average and up to 10.4%, using the correction method of speed prediction proposed in this study.

      • A Case of Nasal Involvement of Sarcoidosis

        Sarcoidosis is a chronic systemic disease of unknown etiology characterized by non-caseating granulomatous inflammationof various organs. Nasal involvement of sarcoidosis is rare. Typical symptoms are nonspecific for sinonasal sarcoidosisand include nasal obstruction, postnasal drip, headache and recurrent sinus infection. We experienced a woman who had sarcoidosisinvolving the inferior turbinate. She was treated with en block resection, systemic steroids and immunosuppressiveagents. So, we report this case with the review of literature.

      • 개구리에서 산-염기 평형의 계절적 변동에 관한 연구

        The influence of environmental temperature on the acid base balance of frog(Rana Temporaria Chosenica) blood was investigated at 25℃ all the year round. pH of blood was measured by means of Artrup method and Sigaard- Anderson's nomogram using pH meter(Corning) and tonometer. Buffer value, actual bicarbonate concentration and OH^-/H^+ ratio were calculatedd by the measure buffer line, pH and CO2 gas tension which was used(low CO_2 was 4-5% and high C0_2 was 8-9% balanced with 0_2). Results obtained are as follows: 1. Buffer line was shift to the upper and-right side during winter season and the differences was statistically significant. 2. Buffer value was higher during winter season than summer value and the difference was significan (p<0.001). 3. The actual blood pH was 7.42±0.01 in September and 7.78±0.03 in January. Generally the pH was higher during winter season than that of summer. The difference between two seasons was statistically significant(p<0.05). 4. The blood PCO_2 value has a seasonal changes with low PC0_2 during winter season and the differences were statistically significant. 5. The plasma bicarbonate concentration was 17.00±1.07mM/L in September and the value were decreased with cold weather of 12.33±1.29mM/L in January. Seasonal changes were significantly different(p<0.05). It is concluded from this findings that the acid-base changes of blood in frog were related to the temperature of living habitat and the corresponding changes in the tissue energy store and buffers.
