        The purpose of this study is to analyze the effects of the Group Art Therapy that makes mentally retarede children improve their standards of adaptation, and to develop more programs that would help their adaptive behaviors continuously. The subjects of this study were mentally retarded boys and girls in age of 8 to 12 from a special class of a public elementary school in S city, Gyeonggi-do. 6 children from them were selected for the experimental group, and another 6 children for the comparative group. Children from the experimental group participated total 12 programs of Group Art Therapy but children from the comparative group were not taken any action. Just before and after every program of the Troup Art Therapy, the special teacher in charge of the class evaluated adaptive behaviors of the children with preliminary and post examinations. After that, the teacher examined the preliminary and post tests of a free drawing on the experimental group only to get detailed changes of children. The subjects of the study was to find out the influences of the Group Art Therapy on the standards of adaptation of mentally retarded children. The hypothesis of the study was that the social and individual adaptive marks of the experimental group would be improved. The results of preliminary and post examinatins for each group were analyzed by Test for Adaptive Behavior Scale(K-ABS). The result of study was following: The first, the experimental group dealt with the Group0 Art Therapy showed statistically significant differences on 'social adaptation', which verified positive influences of the Group Art Therapy progessed in this study. On the other hand, the experimental group didn't show statistically significant differences on 'individual adaptation' in comparison with the comparative group, which menas the Group Art Therapy did not directly affect on individual adaptation of the children. Furthermore, it showed that this Group Art Therapy was specially effective on 'rebellious behavior', 'withdrawal' and 'self abusive' among other social maladjustment items. The results of the study shows the Group Art Therapy contributes the improvements of the standards of adaptation for mentally retarede children. It also suggests the proper programs providing mutual interchanges help the social nature of mentally retarded children improve significantly.

        The purpose of this study was to analyze the housing mobility behavior according to the income change and to predict the probability of upward and downward movements. A binary logit model was used with the data which were obtained by the Korea Research Institute for Human Settlements in 1989. The sample size was 1620 households in Seoul. The results of this study were as follows; the upward movement probability in rental housing or in single housing was higher than that in owned housing or in apartment housing as household income increased.

        접합부 상세에 따른 철골 커플링 보의 내진거동

        Ductile coupled flexural wall is the primary seismic load resisting system of buildings. The coupling beams of these buildings must exhibit excellent ductility and energy dissipation capacity. To achieve better ductility and energy dissipation, steel coupling beam embedded in the reinforced concrete walls is proposed. A comprehensive experimental test involving 5 steel coupling beam specimens has been performed and results from this program are used herein to study the effect of details of steel coupling beams embedded in the reinforced concrete walls on seismic behavior. Through experimental test, the seismic behavior of typical steel coupling beams was established. These efforts have resulted in details for increasing the seismic capacity of steel coupling beam in the seismic behavior of buildings.

        Ductile coupled flexural wall is the primary seismic load resisting system of buildings. In these systems, connections are generally headed stud bolt connection. The purpose of experimental study is to evaluate the seismic behavior of these connection under cyclic loading. A comprehensive experimental test involving 4 specimens has been performed and this program is used to study the effect of value of moment and edge distance. Through experimental test, the seismic behavior of typical headed stud bolt connections was established.

      • 부유대역 용융응고법으로 제조된 YBa_2Cu_3O_x 산화물초전도체의 미세구조와 전기적 특성

        The YBa_2Cu_3O_x-20 wt% Y_2BaCuO_5 composition designed in YBCO system was synthesized by solid state reaction method. The optimum condition of hot zone temperature and growth rate in floating-zone melt were 1080 ℃ and 2.5 mm/hour, respectively. In samples growth as these condition, the low angel boundaries in grain direction and small amount of amorphous phase known as decreasing characteristics of superconducting materials between grain boundaries in microstructure are investigated by polarized light microscopy on the whole. The critical current density(Jc) at 77k of sample using powder fabricated with no CeO_2 and doped 5 wt%CeO_2 were 8,000 A/㎠(Jc : 561A) and 12,000 A/㎠(Jc: 826A) at 0 T by direct current transport method, respectively.

        기념경관의 물리적 형태구성에 관한 연구 : 파리공원을 중심으로

        The purposed of this study is to examine the concept, physical setting and basic types of memorial landscape and analyze Paris park which represents Korean memorial landscape. The results are as followings. 1. The memorial landscape is one of the cultural landscape in order to remind people of famous person or event. 2. A center, boundary, and path are basic elements comprising physical setting of memorial landscape. 3. Basic design approaches for memorial landscape are to use shafts, modify the landscape, build the structure, and make the sculptures. 4. Various shafts, landscaping, structure, and sculptures formulate the physical setting of Paris park. A pond at Paris park doesn't have strong memoriality because a major center zone is lacking in it.

        This study investigates the performance of the reinforced concrete frame with the steel plate slit damper. The test was carried out to investigate the structural behavior between the reinforced concrete bare frame and the reinforced concrete frame with the steel plate slit damper. The test results showed that the energy absorption capacity of the damped-frame was several times larger than that of the bare frame. For the damage by the input energy is concentrated on the steel plate slit damper, the ductilities of the former structure were increased and the damaged frame can be reused after exchange the steel plate slit damper.

      • Glycyrol의 면역세포 활성효과 및 항진균 효과

        In this study, we determined proliferate effect on T-lymphocytes and antifungal activity of glycyrol that was isolated from Glycyrrhizae Radix (Leguminosae). In addition, immunoadjuvant activity of glycyrol was determined. Results showed that Gylcyrol (GCR) suppressed the proliferation of murine splenocytes that were treated with Concanavalin A (Con A). In case of the immunoadjuvant effect, glycyrol had no enhancement on antibody production. Data from experiments of antifungal activity in vitro, the component resulted in inhibition of Candida albicans growth. The antifungal effect appeared to be more potent than fluconazole. These data indicate that Glycyrol has no specific immunological effect on T- and B-cells, but the component contains antifungal activity.

        Biodegradability and Risk Assessment of Biomass-based Polymeric Materials

        With the intention to solve environmental problems caused by synthetic plastics from petroleum resources, biodegradable polyurethane foams and thermosetting moldings were prepared from biomass, such as wood and wheat bran by liquefaction method. Biodegradability of these biomass-based polymeric materials was investigated. In activated sludge, polyurethane foams from liquefied wheat bran and thermosetting molding from phenolated wood were decomposed approximately 14% and 29% for 20 days, respectively. One of the wood fungi, Coriolus versicolor was able to grow without supplemental nutrition, only with distilled water and polyurethane foam as a nutrition source. Risk assessments were also conducted and results showed that estrogenicity, mutagenicity, and carcinogenicity were not observed in the extractives of biomass- based polymeric materials.

        Effect of Enzymatic Hydrolysis of Cellulose Nanofibers on the Properties of Poly (Vinyl Alcohol) Nanocomposite

        Enzymatic treatment was conducted to hydrolyze pure cellulose nanofiber (PCNF), holocellulose nanofiber (HCNF), and lignocellulose nanofiber (LCNF) for 6, 24 and 72 hours and thus-obtained nanofibers (1, 3, 5, 10 wt%) were used to reinforce polyvinyl alcohol (PVA). Glucose production yield was increased by enzymatic hydrolysis. Tensile strength and elastic modulus of all PVA nanocomposite reinforced three nanofibers were improved by increasing enzymatic hydrolysis time of nanofibers and these values were higher in order of nanocomposite reinforced with PCNF>HCNF >LCNF. Furthermore, tensile properties of nanocomposite with PCNF were increased by nanofiber content. Thermal stability of PVA was improved by adding nanofibers and by increasing nanofiber content.
