본 연구에서는 복합 셸구조에 유리한 축대칭 원추대 요소(axisymmetric coni- cal frustum element)의 유한 요소법을 이용하였고, 고유 진동수와 진동 모우드를 구 하여 벨로우즈의 동특성을 규명하였다. 또한, 벨로우즈의 기하학적인 형상을 변수로 한 동특성의 변화를 검토하여 벨로우즈의 동적인 안정성에 관한 설계 자료를 제시하고 자 하였다. In this study, the dynamic characteristics of Bellows, used for expansion joint, were investigate by F.E.M. Using the axisymmetric conical frustum element, the natural frequencies, modevectors and the parameters governing the dynamic characteristics of Bellows were also investigated. Through the experiment, it was shown that the results calculated by finite element method and measured experimental values were in good agreement.

To clarify the behavior of the mast cells in the accessory genital glands of rats by some hormonal procedures, 30 mature male Swiss albino rats were divided into three groups-normal, castrated and testosterone-treated following castration. The castrated rats were sacrificed 30 days later and the hormone?treated animals were killed 7 days later after injection of testosterone propionate(U. S. P.) following castration. The castrations were done 30 days earlier to the injection and the dose of the hormone was 200mg/kg per day. The results of the observation were as follows: 1. In the normal group, the average number of mast cells was 122. 1 in the prostate and it was 80. 9 in the seminal vesicle. Most of the cells were of a rich granular type, and cells of a poor and disrupted granular type were very scarce. 2. In the castrated group, the average numbers of mast cells were 217, 9 and 100. 6 in the prostate and the seminal vesicle respectively. These figures represented significant increases of 78% and 25% compared with those of the normal group. In addition, the cells of poor in granules and of degranulated were markedly increased both in number and in size and were stained more intensely. 3. In the testosterone group, the average number of the mast cells was 122.5 in the prostate and it was 77.2 in the seminal vesicle. The ratios among the cells of varying amount of granules were almost similar to that of the normal group. In the light of the above results, it is presumed that the average number of mast cells increased due to the atrophy of gland cells and the hypertrophy of connective tissues following castration, and the number of mast cells diminishes to their normal value on acount of the over-growth of gland cells and the atrophy of connective tissues due to the administration of testosterone.
