To promote healthy development of a city and to sustain desired urban growth, it is very important to determine the precise mechanisms of land use which can be altered by various factors. Also crucial is a detailed understanding of the land use, the relevant configuration factors, the land use patterns, and the characteristics of the downtown areas. Daejeon Metropolitan City has experienced the transformation of urban structure including changes in functional distribution of its urban space due to large new town development since the 1980s. This paper analyzes the process of new town formation, particularly oriented by large-scale new town development run by the government, and identifies the characteristics of each central district, their interconnection, and the differences among them. Then, the characteristics and differences are analyzed by comparing the land uses between the existing and new central districts.

This paper presents a methodology of correlation between subjective and objective measures in a vehicle crosswind stability test. The subjective measure is a professional test driver`s rating of crosswind stability, while the objective measure assesses the crosswind stability via vehicle dynamic responses. Vehicle test data obtained from field testing has been analyzed to investigate links between the objective and subjective measures. Thirty-six test configurations with three test vehicles have been provided by attaching aerodynamic add-ons. Statistical tools are employed to obtain good correlation between driver rating and physical parameters Using a multiple regression analysis, a statistical formula which relates the driver rating and principal physical parameters has been obtained. The proposed methodology will be used to show the physical parameters influence on subjective assessment and even to predict the subjective assessment of vehicle crosswind stability.
움직임 벡터 정보를 이용한 SPIHT 부호화 기반의 디지털 비디오 워터마킹

비디오 워터마킹은 일반적으로 네 가지의 타입으로 분류되어진다. 첫 번째로는 원 비디오 신호에 워터마크를 삽입한 후 부호화하는 것으로 대부분의 비디오 워터마킹 기법이 이에 속한다. 두 번째로는 블록 DCT, 양자화 등의 부호화 과정에 워터마크를 삽입하는 것이고, 세 번째로는 부호화된 비트스트림에 워터마크를 삽입하는 것으로 이를 라벨링 (labeling)이라고도 한다. 마지막으로 네 번째로는 움직임 벡터에 워터마크를 삽입하는 것으로, 이는 높은 복잡도가 요구되며 블록화 현상과 같은 화질 열화가 발생된다. 본 논문에서는 움직임 벡터 추정을 이용한 I 프레임 상에서 SPIHT 기반의 비디오 부호화에 워터마크를 삽입하는 방법을 제안한다. 이는 블록 DCT 기반의 부호화기에 발생되는 블록화 현상을 제거하고, 점진적 전송 특성을 가진다. 제안한 방법에서는 Ⅰ 프레임 상에서 이전 P 또는 B 예측 프레임으로부터 움직임 벡터를 추정한 후에 이를 기반으로 워터마크 삽입 영역을 선택한다. 그리고 DWT를 수행하여 워터마크 삽입 영역 상에서 움직임 벡터의 방향과 동일한 부대역 상의 웨이브릿 계수를 HVS에 기반하여 워터마크를 삽입한다. 마지막으로 SPIHT 부호화기에 의하여 워터마크가 삽입된 비디오 비트스트림을 생성한다. 실험 결과로부터 제안한 방법이 객관적 및 주관적인 화질 측면에서 우수한 비가시성을 확인하였고, 다양한 압축률 및 MPEG 재부호화 등에 대하여 우수한 강인성을 확인하였다. Video watermarking technologies are classified into types of four kinds. The first type is to embed the watermark into a raw video signal and to code the watermarked video signal. Most of video watermarking technologies fall into the category of this type. The second type is to apply watermarking to the coding process, such as block DCT and quantization. The third is to directly embed the watermark into the compressed bitstream itself. Generally, it is referred as labelling rather than watermarking. Finally, the fourth is to embed the watermark into MPEG motion vector. This type has the difficulty in real-time process because of the high complexity and has the blocking effects because of DCT-based on coder. In this paper, we proposed the digital video watermarking that embed the watermark in SPIHT video code for I-frame using motion vector analysis. This method can remove the blocking effect occurred at the DCT-based on coder and obtain video data that has progressive transmission property. The proposed method is to select the region for the watermark embedding in I frame using motion vector estimated from the previous P or B frame. And then, it is to perform DWT and embed the watermark based on HVS into the wavelet coefficients in the same subband of DWT as the motion vector direction Finally, the watermarked video bitstream is obtained by the SPIHT coder. The experimental results verified that the proposed method has the invisibility from the objective and subjective image quality and the robustness against tile various SPIHT compression and MPEG re-code.
Chained Branches와 Dark Fiber 병합 방식을 이용한 선박용 광 네트워크 감시 시스템 제작

향후 대용량 정보 제공 서비스를 위한 선박용 광 네트워크 감시 시스템의 하드웨어와 소프트웨어를 설계 제작하였고, 개발된 광 네트워크 감시 시스템이 선박이라는 특수 상황과 관련 있는 선로 연장, 매크로밴딩, 이물질이 부착된 광 커넥터에 의한 손실 등 3가지의 이벤트를 정확히 모니터링하는지를 실험을 통해 확인해 보았다. 감시 시스템의 하드웨어는 선박의 네트워크 구조에 맞는 chained branch와 dark fiber 병합 방식으로 설계 제작하였고, 3가지 이벤트에 대한 감시 시험 결과 3가지 모두 5 m 이내의 범위로 모니터링하는 것을 확인하였다. Hardware and software of optical network monitoring system for optical network installed in ship for providing massive information are designed and fabricated. And, we investigated whether the fabricated system will accurately monitoring three events of optical cable extension, macrobanding and ferrule dust, which are related with special situation of ship, or not through the experiment. We used the combined method of chained branch and dark fiber for designing and fabricating hardware of optical network monitoring system for optimal corresponding with network configuration in ship. And, we confirmed that the proposed system excellently trace within 5 m range of event point in all three cases by investigating each event experiments.
위암에서의 Helicobacter pylori 와 p53 단백 발현과의 관계

Background/Aims: Epithelial cell proliferation during Helicobacter pylori (H. pylori) infection is likely to promote neoplastic transformation in combination with additional factors such as genetic alterations and oncoprotein overexpression. Mutation of p53 might be occurred from overexpression of it. The aim of this study was to demonstrate the relationship between expression of p53 protein and H. pylori associated gastric cancer. Methods: H. pylori infection was studied in fifty-four cases of gastric adenocarcinoma. Among them, 38 cases were surgically resected and remaining cases were endoscopically resected. All of them were examined by immunohistological stain for detection of p53 protein. Results: H. pylori positivity was 46.3% of 54 cases with gastric adenocarcinoma. In 26 case of early gastric cancer, it was 69.2% and it was 21.4% in advanced gastric cancer. The p53 protein was detected in 86.8% of the patients who underwent gastric cancer resection, 94.1% of the patients with H. pylori positive cancer and 81.0% of the patients with H. pylori negative cancer. The p53 expression rate was high in the patients with H. pylori positive cancer, but statistically not signifi cant. In addition, expression of p53 protein was not related with Lauren' s type of gastric cancer Conclusions: High prevalence of H. pylori infection was observed in early gastric cancer and expres sion of p53 protein was not related with H. pylori positive cancer.
