The government of the People's Republic of China introduced the outside director system of the U.S.A. in August 2001 in order to protect interests of minority shareholders and to improve corporate governance. It will take some time that the outside director system of the U.S.A. is taken root in the corporate culture of China and becomes effective. Moreover, in order for the outside director system to be really effective, the roles and responsibilities of independent directors should be defined and rational procedures of electing independent directors are set up. The effectiveness of the outside director system may be promoted by other various factors affecting corporate governance including, for example, improvement of ownership structure. Therefore, it is still early to say whether the outside director system of China is effective or not.

In this study, we investigated the effect of the residual carbides and tempered carbides precipitated by tempering treatment after quenching on the pitting corrosion of mod. 440A martensitic stainless steel. In quenched specimens and tempered specimens after quenching of mod. 440A martensitic stainless steel, the volume fraction of the residual carbides and total carbides decreased with the increase of the austenitizing temperature. Pitting resistance increased with the increase of austenitizing temperature. With the increase of the volume fraction of the residual and total carbides, the pitting resistance of mod. 440A martensitic stainless steel was decreased. The pitting resistance of mod. 0.5C-17Cr-0.5Ni 440A martensitic stainless steel had stronger affected by residual carbides than precipitated carbides produced by tempering.
선박·해양 구조물용 YS 460MPa 강재 FCAW 용접금속의 강도와 인성에 미치는 C의 영향

This paper has an purpose to study the effect of C on the toughness of YS 460 MPa FCAW weld metal. These effects were evaluated by charpy impact and CTOD test about 4 FCAW weld metal containing various C and Si content in relation to microstructure. Increase of C content was helpful to increase AF volume fraction and reduce PF(G) and FS volume fraction by increasing super cooling rate for ferrite transformation. Also, Increase of C content up to 0.045wt% made the strength and impact toughness higher by increasing AF volume fraction. The weld metal containing higher C content indicated higher CTOD value. It is because the volume fraction of PF(G) and FS, can play a role as crack initiation site, was reduced. Effect of C on the strength and elongation of weld metal was higher with an increase of Si contents.
외부 수압을 받는 필라멘트 와인딩 후판 복합재 원통의 좌굴 연구

외부 수압을 받는 필라멘트 와인딩 후판 복합재 원통의 좌굴 및 파손을 유한요소법과 시험으로 연구하였다. 자체 개발 프로그램인 ACOS와 상업용 프로그램인 M5C.NASTRAN(선형)과 MSC.MARC(비선형)를 이용한 유한요소해석을 수행하였다. 복합재 원통 시편은 T700 카본-에폭시로 필라멘르 와인딩 기법에 의해 [±30/90]<SUB>FW</SUB>, [±45/90]<SUB>FW</SUB>, [±60]<SUB>FW</SUB>, [±60/90]<SUB>FW</SUB>의 각도로 제작하여 수압시험을 수행하였다. 사용한 세 가지 프로그램 중 ACOS가 시험값과 1.7~14.3%의 차이를 보이며 좌굴 압력을 가장 잘 예측하였다. 모든 경우에 좌굴 후 지지하중이 초기 좌굴하중보다 커지지 못하고 최종파손으로 연결되었다. The buckling and failure of filament wound thick composite cylinders under external hydrostatic pressure were investigated by the finite element analysis and test. ACOS, MSC.NASTRAN, and MSC.MARC were used for finite element analysis. T700 carbon-epoxy filament wound composite cylinders were fabricated to have winding angles of [±30/90]<SUB>FW</SUB>, [±45/90]<SUB>FW</SUB>, [±60]<SUB>FW</SUB>, and [±60/90]<SUB>FW</SUB>, and tested to verify the finite element analysis. Among the softwares, ACOS predicted buckling load the best with about 1.7~14.3% deviation from test. Analysis and test shows cylinders do not recover the initial buckling pressure after buckling and directly lead to final failure.

Experiments were performed to investigate the effect of salt water on the mechanical properties of UPN-139 carbon-epoxy composite after 0, 1, 3, 6, 9 and 12 months immersion in 3.5% salt water. Waterproof painting and sealing tape were applied to protect the water absorption on the both cutting sides and taps of specimens. Test results show that while the tensile properties in fiber and matrix direction did not decrease considerably until 12 months of immersion, shear strength and modulus decreased gradually from nine months of the immersion. The reduction of shear strength and modulus were 9.5% and 10.8% of the values of dry specimens without exposure to salt water, respectively .

Effects of austenite on the uniform corrosion in the solution of 1 N H2SO4 were investigated through the electrochemical polarization test. Two phases structures of martensite and austenite were obtained by annealing treatment at the range of 500℃~700℃ for 10min. in 70% cold- rolled 202 stainless steel. Volume fraction of reversed austenite increased rapidly with an increase of annealing temperature. Uniform Corrosion was occur mainly on martensite phase in 202 austenitic stainless steel with two phase of austenite and martensite. Corrosion current density increased with an increase of volume fraction of austenite, therefore uniform corrosion was affected by volume fraction of austenite
